This is a wonderful care home. All staff are hardworking, friendly, compassionate and dedicated. My mother was very happy here, sadly she passed away. The new manager is so nice and approachable, such an asset to Charlton Grange Nursing Home. I would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful care home
to everyone.

All the care staff, from the most senior to the newest recruit, are gentle, caring and competent. I have only met one member of the management team based here and she was extremely competent and efficient. I understand that there is a new management team and judging from my contact, it should prove
to be a most efficiently managed home. There is a very happy atmosphere, caring staff cooperate, ably led by their seniors - it's a happy, caring community.

Very friendly and caring staff. I feel valued as a visitor and informed of my mother's needs. Sometimes I feel at the weekend that the staff are not quite as knowledgeable about my mother's condition. I do worry when the nursing carers are different. I realise this can't be helped as everyone needs
to take time off and I may be totally wrong. Saying that, I wouldn't want my mother to be anywhere else, she is at the end of her life and it mist be very difficult for everyone concerned. Obviously, everyone has their favourites and I know I'm not to mention names but a few are exceptional.

Our wonderful dad was a resident at this lovely care home for the last couple of years but very sadly passed away on Boxing Day 2022 at the grand old age of 97, just short of his 98th birthday!
His time there, with Alzheimer’s, was a very confusing time for him but the love and care he received from
all the staff and management was second to none, always spotlessly clean and shaven, clothes freshly laundered and hair regularly trimmed which was so important to us, as a family!
His final hours were spent quietly and calmly with his family around him, a big thank you to all at Charlton Grange Nursing Home.
Would highly recommend.

I found the care home was very good. All staff were hard-working, compassionate, approachable and cheerful, whether they were care staff, nurses, laundry staff, the handyman, management, kitchen staff or cleaners. The standard of my room and the food was excellent. I enjoyed the weekly exercise classes
conducted by a physiotherapist and there was a festive function for Halloween, which I also enjoyed. I felt safe in learning to walk again in this safe environment. A senior carer did hairdressing and even dyed my hair for me. A staff member found a rollator for me, which was very helpful, as the Zimmer frame given by the hospital, was of limited use. I am able to judge this establishment as a retired nurse.

This care home is first-class. My father is staying there for palliative care.
The managers and all the staff had made my father very comfortable, happy and with all the 'end-of-life' care he needs.
The whole family are so happy that my father is being looked after by all the special staff. We could
not be happier!

First of all, I would like to say how all the staff are so very friendly and courteous which gives me a huge amount of pleasure and confidence. Secondly, the actual home is always so very clean and tidy. On my first visit with my wife to see and get a feel for the whole set-up, we immediately knew that
this is the home we want for my father. First impression was superb.

My partner was in about five weeks. All the staff were very, extremely kind and caring. The manager was so welcoming and made my partner feel at home.

My mother was admitted to the home following a water leak at her home in June 2021. When she arrived she was unable to walk or stand, doubly incontinent and her head and neck were twisted with her head on her chest most of the time. Despite adapting the house, carers at her home did their best, my
mother would only sleep in a chair and refused to do physiotherapy or anything for herself. She was forever calling, dropping things, soiling herself and very abusive to me and my sister.
The amazing care she has received over the last year has changed life for the better. She now sleeps in her bed at night, despite her being very belligerent and abusive to staff initially, they persevered. She is doing her physio and can now stand with help and walk to her bathroom with a walker. She looks so much better and her skin colour is great, her head is almost upright. Her dementia is getting worse (mixed) as expected, physically she is the best she has been in years.

The care home is excellent.
The management staff cannot do enough for you.
The care is brilliant never had a problem with my mum since putting her in here on 5th November 2019.
The food is excellent, cannot fault it.
The activities are great and tailored for each person's needs ie, Mum with dementia.
The carers are very good with Mum.
I would highly recommend Charlton Grange Care Home.

My husband has just returned home after respite care which allowed me to have a break myself. I cannot be happier about the care he has received. All the staff were very caring and attentive and he was welcomed by everyone. He made friends with other residents and joined in with various activities.
He also enjoyed the food! I was given very helpful advice on his future care when home. I will certainly not hesitate for him to return again in the future. Thanks to all the staff who helped to make his stay so happy. I need not have worried.

All the staff were extremely kind, caring and thoughtful. They tried to make my mum comfortable and created a homely environment for her. Small touches like taking my mum out for an hour into the garden and dressing her in clothes were wonderful. They kept her clean and checked on her hourly through
the night. The facilities were clean too.

My mother-in-law was a resident at Charlton Grange for respite care following a nasty fall at home. We were so worried about taking her to a care home because of the stigma attached to them but I can hand on heart say that the team that looked after her there were just absolutely super. They were so
caring and compassionate and were so attentive to my mother’s needs. The manager was so warm and welcoming and made us feel at home straight away. During lockdown, they kept us so well informed and when we spoke to her she would tell us all the fun things they were doing from baking to bingo to yoga classes.
They provided a much needed rest for me and my family. Thank you Charlton Grange Nursing Home from the bottom of my heart! We definitely highly recommend!

Visited Mum after many months of lockdown. She looked amazing and happy. Loving the staff who went out of their way to celebrate her birthday. The care, love and attention she was given by all staff was amazing. The home is spotless and beautiful. We would fully recommend this home and staff. Thank

My mother was a resident at Charlton Grange for over a year. They made everything so easy for me. They really looked after my mum and increased her life expectancy and quality of life over the past 12 months. I was told she would live no longer than 6 weeks and she lived so much more. My mum would tell
me that the healthcare staff would always go over and beyond for her and when I visited prior to lockdown they would always welcome me and make me feel part of the family. Towards the end, I was constantly kept updated by the manager and it was a nice gesture that senior management made time to attend her funeral. I will forever be in their debt as to how they looked after my mother. Thank you all.

Mum has been a resident here since July 2020. She has settled in well and is being cared for by the dedicated dementia nursing team. Throughout the pandemic, we have been kept up to date on her progress. Visiting has now restarted, and the management team have been fully supportive. Would recommend

Can't fault the Charlton Grange Nursing Home at all. The staff are very helpful and considerate during this stressful and difficult time, with the pandemic and the change from his own home and then hospital to the home.
My father is the type of person who never wanted to go into a nursing home, but
after a number of falls, had no option. He was spending his days alone just watching TV without even noticing what was on.
He was placed in the home straight from the hospital and the staff were brilliant. They helped my dad settle in and gave him time and attention that he required to make him feel at home. He now interacts with other residents and staff members. He plays scrabble, bakes and paints.
The staff have been extremely accommodating and helpful with his requirements and they have hung his pictures on the wall.
They have allowed his furniture and this all helps with him settling in. The rooms are of a good proportion and well decorated and look very homely with own furniture and a large wetroom.

My dad arrived here in June 2020, he has settled in well. The staff are all very kind and treat him very well. He tells me the food is excellent and he really enjoys the deserts as they are all homemade.
The activities keep his mind fresh and he enjoys the interaction with the other residents. The
management has been very helpful to us as a family at a time that’s been really difficult and challenging with all the COVID restrictions. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. My only negative comment would be the garden could be a little more brighter, more flowers and with more furniture for the visitors.
