The staff are friendly and welcoming. My mother received excellent care during her stay and was very happy there. I would highly recommend Coundon Manor as a care home to stay both for short-term and long-term care.

We find Coundon Manor Care Home very good for my mum, the carers have a lot to put up with my mum as she has dementia. The nurses are really nice and look after my mum the best they can. We have no regrets about putting my mum in here. The only thing we wish is that my mum would mix with other residents
but she has chosen to stay in bed because of her mobility.

Generally, this seems to be a good home and the majority of staff are very helpful and caring. However, my experience is limited as my husband is not a "normal" resident because of his situation. I do not have contact with the other residents as my husband is confined to his room and I have to remain
in there as well unless I need to talk to the duty nurse/staff in charge.

My mum was at Coundon Manor for six weeks from mid-August. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly to us, the family/loved ones of the resident. We cannot comment on the level of care she received because we just don't know.
A max of two people were allowed to visit her once a fortnight for twenty
minutes! The visit was in a communal area with other visitors, not her bedroom. (There are now no covid restrictions in the community.) It was difficult to get information from the home on anything. The only time I had a proper conversation with a nurse was when she'd made a mistake with my mum's medication.
My mum then moved to another home which was brilliant. They recognised the importance of human contact, let my dad visit every day for as long as he liked, others by appointment (because of COVID restrictions). They were caring, open, friendly, welcoming, excellent.

Mum's mobility was not good from hospital discharge. The remote for her TV was never at hand for her to use. She said she would call staff when she needed pain relief but no answer, so I would have to call the home to say Mum needs pain relief. Mum said she was cold a lot of the time. Her nice bed fleece
went missing. At weekends it was impossible to get any answer when we rang the home about issues. Overall not impressed with the staff's care. Would not recommend this home for a loved one. My mum is 92 years old and is still traumatised by her five-day stay. Brought her out to care for her at home.

Aunt briefly stayed here October-December 2019. She could not have been better cared for. The staff were helpful, compassionate, thoughtful, proactive and efficient. The home was well run. The facility were extremely clean and well maintained. It was a great source of comfort for her relatives that
she was so well looked after.

My husband has been in Coundon Manor for a few months now. The care, cleanliness and food are second to none. My husband enjoys the activities that are provided, such as gardening, painting, singing and playing games. I go to see him each day and am made to feel very welcome. I am so pleased my husband
is in Coundon Manor. I don't worry when I leave as I know he is well looked after.

Always find the staff very helpful and obliging. My mum has settled in really well and in fact, her health seems to have improved since residing at this nursing home.

This was the best care home we visited in Coventry. Very clean, smelt nice too. All the staff were friendly and happy to help. The resident's rooms were beautifully laid out, large and airy with a separate shower room and toilet. All visitors are welcomed and offered refreshments in the kitchen. Big
comfortable lounge with TV, good views of the gardens outside.

As a family, we continue to be happy with Dads care at Coundon Manor. For the most part, staff are lovely and very thoughtful, although, at odd times without the regular staff on duty this can be different.
We feel Dad is well cared for here and that regular staff now him well now.

Coundon Manor Care Home provided respite care for my mum who was discharged from hospital and needed a few weeks of respite before going home.
My mum spent almost 6 weeks at the home and during that time she was well cared for.
Our objective was to get her back to independent living (with carer support)
as soon as possible and this entailed improving mobility and overcoming a broken arm to regain its use.
The home was respectful and flexible in its approach to meeting our objectives and responded to all suggestions to help improve mums mobility by carrying out regular walking to and from her room to the dining room or lounge and arranging physiotherapy visits.
The standard of accommodation, the quality of food and the exceptional staff (both carers and nurses) all contributed significantly to achieving our desired outcomes.
Mum is now settled back at home, however, should the need arise to use Coundon Manor anytime in the future, I would not hesitate to contact them.

The care my dad received in his last few weeks of life at Coundon Manor has been outstanding. All of the staff have shown true compassion and care for my dad and his family. I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home.

Some of the staff here are amazing and will go above and beyond to help, then others seem to drift around and take a long time to assist. I feel the staff are sometimes left very short and this means they are stretching themselves thin.


The home, in general, is clean and tidy. Food leaves a lot

to be desired, the food in the hospital is of better quality, unfortunately. My loved one seems happy and settled which is all that really matters.

My wife and I are very happy with the care she has received since she has been in Coundon Manor.


She has been very well cared for by nurses and carers over a very long period and all her needs have been very good.


Her room is very clean and she likes the informed and friendly chats she gets.


Her

catering needs are very good and she likes most of her meals. On the whole, we are very happy with her care.
