My brother Martyn seems sooo very relaxed and quite happy there
Hi Kim,
We're so happy to hear you feel this way and that Martyn is settling in well. If you do have any concerns in the future, please do bring it to our attention.
Best wishes,
Trisha
My Mum, Joan, died yesterday morning eventually relaxed and gently passed away with us by her side, she did not know we were there, due to the severity of her pain relief she was administered, we knew this was needed as did the doctors and palliative care nurses, she was feisty and had a sharp tongue and I can only apologise to the unnerving staff that took care of her right till the end. You are special people looking after the elderly with a professionalism that we found unmatched I and my wife were always asked if we needed anything, she didn't want to be there, but could not live on her own (Falling risk) and in last 3 years of her 94 year old life needed more care as Hospital stays became more frequent 2 care homes and a flat she became to hate. she just didn't want to be anywhere. Thank you for looking after her till the end.
I wouldn't want my Mum anywhere else, I worked in care for over 30yr and it's the nicest place I have ever been , great management, and lovely long serving staff, Mum says she has no complaints and the food is ok "even though she wants to go home" I think she has settled well
Thank you for your lovely comments, it's nice that our long-serving staff are recognised and we have lovely supportive relatives.
Mum is a resident at woodlands of woolley care home..for the past 19month ..her care is excellent..her individual needs are dealt with by all staff..with dignity and respect..all issues are dealt with and solved by all staff...the care home is homely and clean..meals are good and residents dietetry needs accounted for... mum loves to sit in the homes gardens ..entertainment is enjoyable..more entertainment days would be better as residents enjoy singing
Thank you for your kind words and feedback. i am currently researching into booking an extra day in the week for someone new xx
Very welcoming home. My mum was a resident here and we always knew she was well looked after. The regular updates of photos and videos were very welcoming and put our minds at ease. The home is always clean and tidy. My friend now goes to Woodlands for respite when I'm away on holiday, I can totally relax when I'm away knowing that he's well cared for.
Thank you ever so much, very fond memories of your mum xx
Dad was fortunate enough to have respite care at Woodlands a year ago and we were all so grateful and delighted when we found out that he could stay permanently. The change in Dad has been remarkable; from someone who didn't eat properly and didn't socialise, he is so content, eating well and enjoying the social elements. He remains a challenge! But, that's Dad and the manager and her amazing team work with him well to maintain as much independence as possible and my brother and I will be forever grateful to you all. Thank you xxx
Thank you ever so much for your lovely comments. xx
They are patient and ensure there are lots of activities for the residents to join in with and the food is great too.
Thank You ever so much for this lovely heart felt reply xx
My mum was admitted to Harewood Court a few months ago from London and all I can say is that they have been absolutely amazing. The care and attention they give my mum is above and beyond and I feel so happy with the care she is being provided. She has settled in really well and every member of staff are so welcoming to me every time I visit her. I have developed a good bond with every member of staff on the dementia floor. The manager has been dealing with getting more support with my mum as her condition is deteriorating however she has been so consistent with this and is doing everything she can to get the extra support my mum needs. Harewood Court is an amazing care home and I do really recommend if you have a family member or loved one who needs care they are a home you should really consider.
Thank you so much, your kind words are appreciated. I have passed your feedback onto the team at Harewood Court, it is our pleasure to look after your mum. We are aware this is a difficult time for you and your family and we will continue to strive to provide your mum with the best possible care.
After viewing various care homes we came across this home, my father spent the last 8 months of his life there and he was so happy. All the staff and carers go above and beyond to make your loved ones feel as if they are one of their own, food menu and activities are high on their list to see what could be done better as the staff and management are very forward thinking. They have meetings with the loved ones of residents in the home and also arrange cocktails and quizzes and barbecues. A big thanks to all at Harewood Court.
My dad has been a resident since June 2023. I could not begin to thank the staff for all the care and support he and our family receive. All his needs are met, even down to the food which he really enjoys. The peace of mind Harewood Court gives us is unbelievable. I could not thank them enough.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We all strive to make this a pleasant place to be, it is helped by the positivity and gratitude shown by you and your family. It is a real pleasure looking after your wonderful Dad.
Hardwood Court is a lovely Care Home for any family members. The care home is of a high standard, very clean and very welcoming, it's just like a hotel or home from home. The staff are absolutely amazing and so is the management. I have never had any complaints about anything to report because everything is as it should be. The staff cannot do enough for you, they are all amazing. My friend has been in the care home for three years now and I always look forward to going to see her. I have been in other care homes in the past, visiting my friends and the care home hasn't been as nice as this one. Hardwood Court is the place I would like to live in should I need care in the future.
Thank you so much for your kinds words, it is a real pleasure when you visit, and we are honoured to be caring for your loved one.
Charlton Court management and staff are all caring, kind and thoughtful not only with Mum but also with the family. We had got to a point where no one seemed to help, and we were at breaking point. Mum has really settled and now talks of Charlton Court as home, which it is. The staff helped Mum to settle, and nothing was too much trouble, taking time to sit and talk with her. I can't thank them enough for the care and support shown to Mum on a daily basis. Chalton Court is a bright, friendly and well-led home.
Thank you, Rose; it is our pleasure to look after your mum, and I am so happy she has settled so well.
Although I am pleased with certain aspects Harewood Court has, trying to arrange visits and access the building is difficult. Also at weekends staff numbers seem depleted. The staff are friendly though and the nursing staff are helpful as is the manager.
Thank you so much for your review we welcome all feedback as it allows us the opportunity to work on improving the service. Kind Regards, management at Harewood Court
If anyone is in the sad and distressing situation of having to look for a nursing home for a loved one then Charlton Court will be a lifesaver.
My dad had previously been in a care home for 3.5 years, then due to a sudden decline in his health, I had to look for a nursing home for him. I looked at so many and Charlton Court was the last one on my long list of possibilities.I turned up and was immediately struck by the warm and lively atmosphere, the manager was so welcoming and gave me a tour of the building, obviously, this was not pre-arranged or contrived, I was so impressed by everything I saw.
Currently, my dad is being taken care of with dignity and understanding by all of the wonderful staff. As a very regular and constant visitor, I see Charlton Court is a place where the focus is on living and enjoying life as much as is possible!
Thank you so much, it is an absolute pleasure to care for your dad and the other residents. Myself and my staff feel privileged and very lucky to meet and be able to care for every one of them and hopefully give them a better quality of life.
During her last weeks and days, the staff were very attentive to her and at the first sign of any medical issues, a doctor was called. We can't thank them enough for the support given to the family at the end. These are very special people indeed.
Finding this care home has been a godsend for my elderly brother and his wife. From day one of their stay, the staff have been fantastic, going above and beyond to make them feel welcome, giving them 1st class care. As for myself, I cannot thank them enough for their care and support in what has been a very demanding and stressful eight months, juggling my own busy life alongside the sudden responsibility of my brothers and sister-in-law's affairs.
Thank you all so much, I can't thank you enough.
I truly never realised a care home could be as good as this.
It must be of great comfort to people who have immediate relatives residing in such a care home as this, and I mean this with all sincerity.
My dad has been a resident at Charlton Court, Pudsey, for about three months now and the difference in his health and demeanour is nothing more than amazing. The staff are so caring, helpful, loving, sympathetic and often funny, yet always very professional. They have helped him settle in and he now truly thinks of it has his home. He has started to join in the activities and enjoys the company and the "banter" with other residents and staff. The food is great (I can personally vouch for that as we were invited to join dad for Christmas dinner and it was delicious). His room is spacious and comfortable and the facilities are great. The garden looks lovely and we can't wait to enjoy that more in summer. I feel we have made the best choice for dad and now know we can look forward to many more years with him. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making this transition so smooth.
My mother in law was ill in the hospital for several weeks, it came as a shock to the family in October 2016 when we were told she needed full-time care. Mothers social worker suggested a number of homes one of which was Charlton Court. We went to visit several but nothing compared to Charlton Court so we jumped at the chance to get mother there. The staff are warm and welcoming and you can tell they genuinely "love" the residents as they would their own family members. They tend to all the resident's needs in an outstanding manor. The food is excellent (my wife visits at lunch time she says it's just a coincidence but I'm not so sure that is the case :-)). Mother has a room which is well maintained and very clean. The home is bright and in excellent repair. Medication is given on time and the nurse is on hand for any problems mother has and is referred to GP when necessary. Charlton Court is a wonderful place and mother and us are extremely happy to be a part of "The Charlton Court Family".
