I wouldn't want my Mum anywhere else, I worked in care for over 30yr and it's the nicest place I have ever been , great management, and lovely long serving staff, Mum says she has no complaints and the food is ok "even though she wants to go home" I think she has settled well
Reply from Vikki Banks, Manager at Woodlands Residential Home

Very welcoming home. My mum was a resident here and we always knew she was well looked after. The regular updates of photos and videos were very welcoming and put our minds at ease. The home is always clean and tidy. My friend now goes to Woodlands for respite when I'm away on holiday, I can totally
relax when I'm away knowing that he's well cared for.

Dad was fortunate enough to have respite care at Woodlands a year ago and we were all so grateful and delighted when we found out that he could stay permanently. The change in Dad has been remarkable; from someone who didn't eat properly and didn't socialise, he is so content, eating well and enjoying
the social elements. He remains a challenge! But, that's Dad and the manager and her amazing team work with him well to maintain as much independence as possible and my brother and I will be forever grateful to you all. Thank you xxx

My mum was admitted to Harewood Court a few months ago from London and all I can say is that they have been absolutely amazing. The care and attention they give my mum is above and beyond and I feel so happy with the care she is being provided. She has settled in really well and every member of staff
are so welcoming to me every time I visit her. I have developed a good bond with every member of staff on the dementia floor. The manager has been dealing with getting more support with my mum as her condition is deteriorating however she has been so consistent with this and is doing everything she can to get the extra support my mum needs. Harewood Court is an amazing care home and I do really recommend if you have a family member or loved one who needs care they are a home you should really consider.
Reply from Patricia Simpson, Clinical Lead Manager at Harewood Court Nursing Home & Specialist Dementia Unit

Thank you so much, your kind words are appreciated. I have passed your feedback onto the team at Harewood Court, it is our pleasure to look after your mum. We are aware this is a difficult time for you and your family and we will continue to strive to provide your mum with the best possible care.

After viewing various care homes we came across this home, my father spent the last 8 months of his life there and he was so happy. All the staff and carers go above and beyond to make your loved ones feel as if they are one of their own, food menu and activities are high on their list to see what could
be done better as the staff and management are very forward thinking. They have meetings with the loved ones of residents in the home and also arrange cocktails and quizzes and barbecues. A big thanks to all at Harewood Court.

My dad has been a resident since June 2023. I could not begin to thank the staff for all the care and support he and our family receive. All his needs are met, even down to the food which he really enjoys. The peace of mind Harewood Court gives us is unbelievable. I could not thank them enough.

Hardwood Court is a lovely Care Home for any family members. The care home is of a high standard, very clean and very welcoming, it's just like a hotel or home from home. The staff are absolutely amazing and so is the management. I have never had any complaints about anything to report because everything
is as it should be. The staff cannot do enough for you, they are all amazing. My friend has been in the care home for three years now and I always look forward to going to see her. I have been in other care homes in the past, visiting my friends and the care home hasn't been as nice as this one. Hardwood Court is the place I would like to live in should I need care in the future.

Charlton Court management and staff are all caring, kind and thoughtful not only with Mum but also with the family. We had got to a point where no one seemed to help, and we were at breaking point. Mum has really settled and now talks of Charlton Court as home, which it is. The staff helped Mum to settle,
and nothing was too much trouble, taking time to sit and talk with her. I can't thank them enough for the care and support shown to Mum on a daily basis. Chalton Court is a bright, friendly and well-led home.

Although I am pleased with certain aspects Harewood Court has, trying to arrange visits and access the building is difficult. Also at weekends staff numbers seem depleted. The staff are friendly though and the nursing staff are helpful as is the manager.

If anyone is in the sad and distressing situation of having to look for a nursing home for a loved one then Charlton Court will be a lifesaver.

My dad had previously been in a care home for 3.5 years, then due to a sudden decline in his health, I had to look for a nursing home for him. I looked

at so many and Charlton Court was the last one on my long list of possibilities.
I turned up and was immediately struck by the warm and lively atmosphere, the manager was so welcoming and gave me a tour of the building, obviously, this was not pre-arranged or contrived, I was so impressed by everything I saw.

Currently, my dad is being taken care of with dignity and understanding by all of the wonderful staff. As a very regular and constant visitor, I see Charlton Court is a place where the focus is on living and enjoying life as much as is possible!

Reply from Kelly Hopkinson, Manager at Charlton Court

Thank you so much, it is an absolute pleasure to care for your dad and the other residents. Myself and my staff feel privileged and very lucky to meet and be able to care for every one of them and hopefully give them a better quality of life.

From the first day we met staff from Morton Close to the day my mother-in-law passed away, we found them to be very professional, extremely caring and patient, not only to our mother but also to the family who visited. The home was clean and didn't smell of anything, which wasn't always the case when
we had viewed other homes. Mother also commented on how clean they kept her, which was great to hear as personal hygiene had always been important to her.
Mother was encouraged to join in all of the many activities they provided as well as one to one sessions but if she didn't want to that was fine and she was never forced to do anything against her will. Her dignity was always maintained and this seemed as important to the staff as it was to her.
During her last weeks and days, the staff were very attentive to her and at the first sign of any medical issues, a doctor was called. We can't thank them enough for the support given to the family at the end. These are very special people indeed.

Finding this care home has been a godsend for my elderly brother and his wife. From day one of their stay, the staff have been fantastic, going above and beyond to make them feel welcome, giving them 1st class care. As for myself, I cannot thank them enough for their care and support in what has been
a very demanding and stressful eight months, juggling my own busy life alongside the sudden responsibility of my brothers and sister-in-law's affairs.

Thank you all so much, I can't thank you enough.

My parents were adamant that they would never go into a care home. That is of paramount importance. Mum is presently in hospital and Dad, on his own, had a fall the other night. I had to get him safe.
There was a room at Charlton Court, which is near my home, so I insisted he was unsafe and needed
to spend a few nights there.
Friendly, helpful, caring. These words simply do not begin to describe the marvellous welcome Dad received. The best accolade I can offer is that when Dad saw Mum in hospital today, he told her that he thought they should move there to be looked after. This after ONE NIGHT!
Everyone makes us feel like they want Dad to be there and to bring Mum as soon as possible.
I truly never realised a care home could be as good as this.

Having recently returned to the UK from living in Canada for a number of years, my wife and I visited Charlton Court Care Home in Pudsey to visit my Cousin Susan. We were pleasantly surprised from the outset of our visit at the very welcoming and friendly staff. The establishment was extremely clean
and tidy, well furnished and gave the impression and feeling of a comfortable home from home.
I cannot express how high we regard the people running the home, from top to bottom they deserve the highest praise and credit for keeping their patients safe, clean and comfortable. I personally have the utmost respect and admiration for each and every one of them.
It must be of great comfort to people who have immediate relatives residing in such a care home as this, and I mean this with all sincerity.

My dad has been a resident at Charlton Court, Pudsey, for about three months now and the difference in his health and demeanour is nothing more than amazing. The staff are so caring, helpful, loving, sympathetic and often funny, yet always very professional. They have helped him settle in and he now
truly thinks of it has his home. He has started to join in the activities and enjoys the company and the "banter" with other residents and staff. The food is great (I can personally vouch for that as we were invited to join dad for Christmas dinner and it was delicious). His room is spacious and comfortable and the facilities are great. The garden looks lovely and we can't wait to enjoy that more in summer. I feel we have made the best choice for dad and now know we can look forward to many more years with him. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making this transition so smooth.

My mother in law was ill in the hospital for several weeks, it came as a shock to the family in October 2016 when we were told she needed full-time care. Mothers social worker suggested a number of homes one of which was Charlton Court. We went to visit several but nothing compared to Charlton Court
so we jumped at the chance to get mother there. The staff are warm and welcoming and you can tell they genuinely "love" the residents as they would their own family members. They tend to all the resident's needs in an outstanding manor. The food is excellent (my wife visits at lunch time she says it's just a coincidence but I'm not so sure that is the case :-)). Mother has a room which is well maintained and very clean. The home is bright and in excellent repair. Medication is given on time and the nurse is on hand for any problems mother has and is referred to GP when necessary. Charlton Court is a wonderful place and mother and us are extremely happy to be a part of "The Charlton Court Family".

My nan came to Charlton Court about 5 months ago. She had been unwell in the hospital for 6 weeks and was told she couldn't go home and needed to go into a home. Our family was devastated, especially my mum and Aunty, as they had looked after her for so long at home but just couldn't do it any longer.
We picked Charlton Court because of the lovely things residents and their families told us when we went to have a look around. The staff look after my nan, making sure she's got everything she needs, the home is bright and clean and welcoming. My nan is really settled and my mum and Aunty can now be daughters instead of carers. Thank you, Charlton Court you are truly amazing.

Mum came to Charlton Court in Oct 2016. Mum has her own room which is a GOOD SIZE AND EXTREMELY CLEAN. The staff offer dignity, a high standard of care and consideration to Mum at all times. They discuss Mums needs with mum and family at all times. We are welcome at any time and are always greeted
with a smile. The staff are awesome and the Care home is amazing. We were a bit apprehensive at the thought of mum going into full-time care but without a doubt, it was the best decision for mum and us as a family. We looked at several homes but Charlton Court was"simply the best". I can Highly recommend Charlton Court and I hope they have a room for me when my time comes :-).
