Care Homes Owned by Prestwick Care

My lovely wife, a long way down the dementia pathway was admitted to Heatherfield some months ago..She was not eating or drinking and virtually unable to do much more than lie in her bed, or sit in her chair in her room - which was bright and cheerful. The care staff are great and seem to act as one and thanks to their perseverance she is eating and drinking. Now able to walk about, firstly with assistance but now on her own. Although the upstairs covers quite a large area, when I arrive to visit her, the carers can immediately tell me where she is and find me a space to sit with her. Nothing is too much trouble. Dementia is a foul disease robbing the person of their memories but here they make it as good as it can be for both her and for me. Thank you to the whole team..

My uncle was given excellent end of life care at Belle Vue. The staff were caring both to my uncle and family who visited. For nearly an hour, the manager patiently took us to a room to explain his health needs and the possible options for pain relief in the week before he passed away. They also provided a video screen for his room on which we could play restful music. One night the nurse onsite kindly organised for a carer to sit all night in his room. He died the next day, mid-morning, surrounded by family but we had the consolation of knowing there was always someone at his bedside in his final hours.

A constant theme of what she has said about her stay was that it was more like a Country Hotel than what she had expected a care home to be like. Her stay was not cheap but it does seem you get what you pay for.

A dear friend has resided here for several months for end of life care. The nursing and personal care has consistently been great . The home is always very clean and the staff very friendly and genuinely care for the residents The food quality is good and the menus are clearly displayed. Theres a range of activities for residents and relatives can always be involved. The home is well managed and the manager is always approachable, friendly and supportive to visitors. Having experienced several care homes in the past I would put Covent House in the top tier . Well done to all the team.

My Father in law recently moved to Covent House and we cannot thank the staff enough for the outstanding care my father in law has received. The manager and staff never fail to speak, smile and give daily updates on his health and daily routine. Covent House is kept very clean and tidy. The whole team work really hard to look after and care for residents. They offer a wide variety of food and go above and beyond to try to cater for everyone. Well done Covent House and a massive thanks to you all.

Parklands is the best in the area, the staff all of them are caring and helpful, my husband is so well looked after, the home is nipping clean and everyone you pass is friendly, my husband has been in over a year and I only have praise to all concerned.
