Management run a very understanding, knowledgeable and compassionate home for dealing with complex dementia residents. My dad was placed into respite care in Woodleigh Lodge in June 2025 with Alzheimer's and it was a huge step for the family and for dad. The staff, carers and the lady who organises
the activities at Woodleigh Lodge have been exceptional and his needs are met, he is immaculately clean and well cared for. Dad is treated with respect and the staff all understand the individual needs of each of the residents and the bedrooms are very clean and modern. The food is always plentiful and nicely presented, with lots of snacks available.

Having to put my dad into a care home was the hardest thing for me to have to do as an only child and promising my mum I would look after him after we lost her, unfortunately Alzeimer's had other ideas for us! Woodleigh Lodge is the one we chose after doing our research, I am so pleased we did, its
one big family the staff are so welcoming as soon as you walk in the atmosphere is really pleasant the food always looks appetising and the constant flow of tea and coffee, the care is second to none. My dad is painfully shy but I often walk in to him doing exercises and his arms in the air this makes me realise we made the right decision for my dad. My personal favourite thing about Woodleigh apart from how they care for dad, is the fact I can turn up when ever I want to, no appointment necessary, I can also take his elderly dog in to see him any time I want to, again, no appointment necessary, my daughter also takes her dog in to see him. Overall, I am very happy we chose Woodleigh Lodge.

We are very impressed with Grove Lodge. The care of its staff shines brightly with good ideas to entertain their guests on and off site. My brother has been at the Lodge for many years, through the pandemic when the staff's dedication to looking after their guests did not falter. We feel that my brother
is very well cared for and looked after with affection. Contact with the home is easy and understanding.

Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Personally I think some of the residents could be walked about a bit more. Everyone is treated with upmost respect. Most questions asked are answered with honesty and are private. All visitors are offered food and drinks which is ideal for people travelling

My brother has been resident here for many years and throughout this time staff have been consistently caring, responsive and professional in their approach. They deal quickly with any medical concerns .They demonstrate real affection for my brother. I have profound confidence in their abilities .

The

home has been refurbished and this helps to maintain a cheerful atmosphere both inside and in the garden.

I would be happy to see more emphasis on activities for the residents, with entertainment coming into the Home from specialist providers and from communal activities involving residents in a practical way. I have recently raised this issue with the Manager and am hopeful of progress in this regard.

My mother is happy at this care home which means everything. Along with this I cannot fault the care she receives which gives myself and the wider family knowledge that she is safe and cared for properly in nice surroundings, caring staff and good home cooked food. It's a lovely environment and feel
highly satisfied with the all round care provided. The management and staff are great and have supported the family finding us the correct care solution when it was no longer suitable for us to care for mum at our home. Forever grateful.

My Dad arrived at Woodleigh Manor in April this year and has settled in here extremely well, this is due to the highest level of care provided by the Care Home Manager her Deputy and her care team. Other team members, who all look after my Dad, who deserve a special mention for their excellent care
of Dad to three members of staff. The communication with myself from the Manager and her team has been excellent and they have gone above and beyond to help both my Dad and myself and for that I will be eternally grateful.
My Dad's room has recently been decorated and the rest of the Care Home is bright, nicely presented and well maintained. The activities for the residents are also many and varied and inclusive and help bring enjoy and stimulation to all who participate in them. Dad enjoys the food too which is great as he has discerning taste!
In summary in my opinion I rate this Care Home and its team as 5* in every respect and can not recommend it highly enough
