I cannot recommend Woodleigh Manor enough. The staff are friendly, efficient and very respectful with the residents and their families. My dad has settled in really well, there is always an activity for him to join in with, and that includes visiting family and friends too. The team really put themselves out to make the residents time with them the happiest it can be.

Dad was receiving great care when I arrived, he had pain in his hand and was having his hand massaged. Both myself and my husband were offered a drink.

The carers are consistent and familiar faces for mum which helps with her confusion caused by the dementia.

Great carehome, very freindly staff. My grandads very happy and well looked after here.

Very much recommended.

The entertainment is good as is the food.

Visitors are welcome anytime.

The residents are also caring of one another.

Hames is very well managed, reflected in the long term staff.

The only improvement for me would be a proper hairdressers backwash.

I cannot recommend Hames Hall highly enough.

Arrived at a presentation of jungle beasts. Snakes, frogs, cockroaches, spiders, my mum not so much engaged to the presentation but most residents were. It is nice to see that these events are still organised.

What a fantastic atmosphere in this home, the staff are friendly as really care for the resident's. The food looks appetising and well presented. There is a program of activities and trips out that are well attended. A really well run homely care home.

All the staff are friendly and they are there to answer any questions you may have. Aunty has settled in the home and the staff have got her doing things like personal hygiene which we couldn't get her to do in her own home. Aunty is also eating well and has gained weight. The activities at the home are organised really well and Aunty has started to participate and has also made friends with some of the residents. The manager and all the staff are excellent.

Our mother initially came to Hames Hall for respite care. However, she settled in so well and loved it so much that she decided she wanted to stay permanently.

Sadly, she recently passed away, but we can honestly say that the staff and residents at Hames Hall became her second family. They made her final years so happy, comfortable, and full of care.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Hames Hall to anyone considering care for a loved one.

Chichester Hall has been my mam's home for just over 3 years now. From day one she has received excellent care and kindness from all the staff who work there. Although my mam isn't able to participate in activities with the other residents, the staff still find ways to include her and give her 'experiences' whenever possible. Chichester Hall is a lovely, welcoming home, not only for residents but also for their family members & friends.

My mum has been in Hames Hall for nearly 5 years. We chose Hames Hall after looking at other care homes in the area. It was definitely the right choice. My mum is very happy and well looked after here. The staff are all dedicated and very kind. She particularly enjoys the entertainment as she is a very sociable person. At the dining table there is always a discussion as to what entertainment there will be that day. Mum and her friends all look forward to it.

Nothing but praise for Hames hall

I would 100% recommend Hames Hall to anyone looking for an exceptionally well run care home. The staff are kind, caring, professional and always welcoming. There is a wide variety of activities on offer, something to suit all tastes, plus weekly visits from a hairdresser, which Mum particularly appreciates. Hames Hall itself is an impressive property, with a lovely lounge, dining room, conservatory and gardens which enjoy superb views of the Lake District Fells. But it is the standard of care which stands out and I feel so reassured knowing that Mum is being so well looked after.

The staff are all so friendly and caring, and the chef is always careful to accommodate her particular dietary needs. The level of care is amazing.

Mum seems settled and is really happy with the food and the friendliness of the staff. Valley View is clean and provides a safe and comfortable space for her. Access for visits are always accommodated and mum is well cared for, with staff always available to meet her needs.

As a family, we are very happy with the care and attention mum receives. She loves most of the staff, and they are very good with her, especially with mum, as she gets very agitated, and they always reassure her she is okay. We also like the fact that they feed her what she likes.
