My mother has always been independent until lost her mobility last year. I visited many homes before settling on Plas Isaf. It was a huge change for my mother - I cannot thank the staff enough for helping her settle so well. Mum loves the activities in particular and the carers really do care. The only
improvement would be to take the residents out more frequently and also to sit outside in the newly designed front garden. I would definitely recommend Plas Isaf.

Overall we are satisfied with mums care, she has plenty of opportunity to socialise, she is offered a choose of a home cooked meal. The staff are very attentive. If I was to be critical, she has lost numerous items of labelled clothes and was also wearing someone elses nightie, my mother being a proud
lady would be horrified is she was aware.
Access to the home is secure, however it can result in a waiting time of upto 10 minutes to get up after ringing the bell.

When my husband needed full time care we had a list of care homes to see. Fairfield being the closest to home we decided to view first. We arrived unannounced and were really happy with our tour. We didn't go anywhere else. The home was lovely. Friendly wonderful staff who are very caring. He has improved
so much since being there and is so much safer than at home. He has plenty of interaction and entertainment. We are very happy with his care.

Mum had been in Barley Brook now for coming on for 3 years! She has settled very well and has a few friends she spends most of the days with. The staff are all very welcoming, helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble! I have met the manager a few times who has always listened to my thoughts
and taken action straight away if there was any concern. As for the activities, well they are always doing day-to-day activities from bingo, knitting, singing and when there are special events coming up like Christmas, Easter, sporting events they are always getting everyone involved and decorating the rooms accordingly. I can honestly say this is such a welcoming and happy environment and I’m so happy my mum is happy. Well done Barley Brook.
