My uncle spent his final weeks at Bryn Yr Haul nursing home and he could not have been better looked after. All too often you hear negative things about the sector in the news, but my experience of Bryn Yr Haul couldn't have been more positive. Every member of staff, from my Uncle's carers to staff I passed on the corridor were kind and helpful. I'm so grateful that in his final weeks he was so well looked after - they really did treat him like a member of the family.

I can offer nothing but praise for this care home in every respect + am entirely satisfied that he could not have been given any better care + attention anywhere else.

My friend has been living at The Cottage for a few months now and after a bumpy start due to giving up her home and a long stay in hospital. She has now settled in well. Managers are hands-on, and nothing is too much trouble. Staff are fantastic, work so hard. Chef is also attentive to my friend's dietary needs. The cleaner is first class, always on the go. Grounds are also fantastic.

I'm very satisfied with the overall care. Mental health is important & the home understands my brother's needs well & are always responsive & patient, which I am grateful for.

When I leave I feel relaxed in the knowledge that she is being well cared for.

The overall support given before, during & after the transition was excellent. It made it easier through a hard time for the family to adjust. She became very settled which also made it a little less emotional. Staff are fab, always give us reassurance when we are unsure on anything. Always take time out to talk to us. The care given cannot be faulted and we are incredibly happy that a place here was available.

The staff are very attentive and friendly and I know Charlottes family are all contented with knowing she is cared for here.

The overall care of all the residents at Barley Brook is very good. The residents are very well looked after, with the staff not just providing care, but also activities to keep the residents occupied and entertained and active. The staff are fully supportive of the residents and show patience & understanding, in what must be difficult at times. Very much appreciated. Thankyou Tony & Angie.

Since Mum arrived almost 6 years ago, things have improved. We are pleased that Mum has a chair suitable for all her needs and a hospital bed as well. The decor in her bedroom is a bit shoddy and could do with decorating. As far as we know, Mum is treated very well, and we are always updated on any issues regarding Mum.

It is a pleasure when visiting, to see the staff and residents getting on so well together. It's a lovely and relaxing atmosphere and everyone goes above and beyond to help each other staff and residents included. I am delighted that Plas Isaf is the place we picked for mum.

My brother spent a month in Plas Isaf last year after suffering a stroke and then returned to live in his flat with carers visiting 3 times a day. The deterioation in him was incredibly fast but after returning to Plas Isaf he looks so much better. He is being looked after by a brilliant care team and the management is fantastic. Absolutely outstanding care and team.

The moment we walked through the door of Plas Isaf we felt reassured. The atmosphere was warm, friendly and very clean.The care my husband received was first class, they covered all his needs perfectly. As for the food, excellent. Thank you all.

All members of staff are absolutely amazing at their jobs! My mum really likes the staff as they are really caring and do a great job with the residents. Residents are really stimulated by activities done in the day and are well fed with quality meals. I can't say enough about barley brook! Excellent care by all.

It has quickly become a homely place for my father.

The staff at the home are all very friendly, helpful and they work hard. However, in my opinion, there are not enough staff on each shift. This is especially a problem at weekends, when the main office is empty. It sometimes takes a long time to get in and out of the home and on one occasion a family member could not gain access and had to return home and come back later on. This was because the staff were very busy attending to the residents and was in no way their fault. The layout of the care home is very good.

A quiet property in a pleasant location. Spacious and well lit interior. Friendly staff and lovely carers who really do seem to care.

This nursing home is nothing short of amazing. Every single member of staff are fantastic. They actually care. My dad was in this home from Jan - Dec 2018 which is why Mum is there now. Three members of the team are still there now. The home is spotlessly clean, fresh and inviting. From the manager right down to the cleaning staff, every one is incredible. Mum is fantastically cared for with respect and dignity. The activities provided are inventive and provided most days. I do not want to single out any particular member of staff because I cannot say anyone is better than anyone else. Mum is listened to and cared for in a way we did not think a care home could provide. Most importantly she is happy. Nothing is too much trouble.

They see to her needs and are professional and focused on her personal care and her medication management. They are very patient and dedicated.
