The staff and care at Hatherley are excellent. My mother has been there several years now and she is very settled. They have a full programme of activities and much keeps the residents occupied. News and information is regularly available. And issues are communicated quickly and efficiently.

My mother has been happy at Hatherley, mainly due to the lovely caring staff. It took a little while for her to settle as it was massive change in her life after living independently. However the staff have been very supportive and are the main asset to the Care Home. It is shame that there are not many trips out, and the food is not always very imaginative but it is hard to cater for varied tastes. Overall it is a safe caring place for those who need all levels of support.

My mother is happy at Elroi, and is treated well and looked after well by staff. I have safeguarding concerns regarding the individual who lives in a caravan in the field next to the garden of Elroi. I believe he is a resident, however the set up is confusing to me. My mum has told me previously that he is NOT allowed into Elroi Manor itself; on my last visit he claimed over the gate from the field, and entered the building. I question the overall suitability of the set up and his presence on the grounds. I also don't understand how his hygiene needs are being met if he isn't allowed into the building.

I cannot praise them enough for their kindness.

Since dad has been in Hatherley Care Home he has adapted to his new home brilliantly. He has maintained his independence such as daily walks and completing jigsaws, and has even started to play the piano again, something he'd given up about 5 years ago. The home has allowed dad to be himself, he goes bird/ wildlife watching and loves to listen to the bells as they ring out at St Mary's. He joins in activities when he wants to.

Although dad doesn't like the coffee, he loves everything else and dad felt pleased very quickly that Hatherley was his new home.

Hatherley is a well run care home, the staff are very nice and helpful. My only concern is: (food) Most of the time it is ok. But sometimes there is not enough choice. I know they can't please everyone all the time.

I had a lovely time with my mum and residents and other people from genesis. The staff are always kind, friendly and very welcoming. The home is well fitted for my mum's needs and has Ideal space for visiting. The general atmosphere and attitude of staff and residents are always good.

My mother moved into Hatherley care home in June 2024. When she first moved in she was unhappy because she had to sell her house. But now she loves it , she loves her room and gets on with all the careers . In my opinion the careers and all the staff are very helpful and caring. My mum couldn't be in any better place.

My 95 year old aunt has been at Hatherley since December 25 and I have been very impressed with the quality of care and the efforts made, despite her disabilities and her reluctance, to get her to join in outings and activities. The management is unflappable and the care staff are diligent and kind.

My Dad has been at Genesis Care home for quite a few years. He was taken by them after suffering the onset of Frontal Lobe dementia and behavioural difficulties. He has been treated and respect and a level of personal care I could have only hoped for, and the reality is better. All the staff are great and it's obvious they love my Dad being with them. His needs have obviously increased over time, and Genesis has always met those needs. I can't offer enough praise and I'm so glad Dad is with them.

My mum has been in the care of Dothan house for the past 2 years and I must say that she has been looked after very well, all the staff are friendly and welcoming. It is nice I am able to walk away and know she is being taken care of and am kept informed with any changes. I would like to thank all the staff for their help, support and care.

My mum was admitted to Dothan House last July. She is very well looked after, is always presentable, and she seems very happy when I visit her. Dothan House always keep me well informed of my mums medical issues should any arise. Dothan House arrange events which is nice and it's good for my mum to attend.

Both my parents have been residents here for 7 months so far and I'm very impressed with the quality of care. Being a small care home, with a great regular team, good relationships have been established between us all. Communication is good and the team strive to make the residents as comfortable and as happy as they can.

My Grandmother has been a resident of Dothan House for the last 4 years. The home is very clean, her bedroom and the common areas are homely and well looked after, and the conservatory and garden provide nice areas to spend time. The staff seem to treat all the residents with kindness and a high level of expertise, and they seem to put the residents first, for example trying to make sure residents get lots of visits. They are welcoming when we visit, and over the years have got to know us too. It is also easy to park. I'm confident my grandmother is safe, happy, and well cared for, and would recommend Dothan House to others.

My Mother has been at Dothanhouse Care home for nearly five years now. The home is always clean and tidy. The carers are always busy caring for the residents and they are always helpful. I am kept informed of any issues regarding my mother and her health. The carers have taken care of my mum, even to hospital appointments. My mum smiles and lights up when the carers talk to her and appears to be as happy and as at ease as it as possible to be with her condition.

My husband has been a resident of Dothan House for over 3 years, he is very happy and content at Dothan House.

The staff treat the residents with care and compassion and they create a very homely atmosphere. Further, they are always welcoming and friendly to visitors.

The home is immaculately clean and the residents rooms are tidy and well presented.

The food always looks appetising, there is plenty of food on offer.

The home is great at celebrating Christmas / Halloween / Easter etc. also, every resident has a Birthday Party with the home being decorated and a singer for entertainment.

Overall, I am extremely happy with my husband's care and welfare.

Dothan House services provided are very good. Staff are highly qualified and deeply committed to maintaining a homely, dignified environment where each resident receives personalised attention.
