My Grandmother has been a resident of Dothan House for the last 4 years. The home is very clean, her bedroom and the common areas are homely and well looked after, and the conservatory and garden provide nice areas to spend time. The staff seem to treat all the residents with kindness and a high level
of expertise, and they seem to put the residents first, for example trying to make sure residents get lots of visits. They are welcoming when we visit, and over the years have got to know us too. It is also easy to park. I'm confident my grandmother is safe, happy, and well cared for, and would recommend Dothan House to others.

My Mother has been at Dothanhouse Care home for nearly five years now. The home is always clean and tidy. The carers are always busy caring for the residents and they are always helpful. I am kept informed of any issues regarding my mother and her health. The carers have taken care of my mum, even to
hospital appointments. My mum smiles and lights up when the carers talk to her and appears to be as happy and as at ease as it as possible to be with her condition.

My husband has been a resident of Dothan House for over 3 years, he is very happy and content at Dothan House.


The staff treat the residents with care and compassion and they create a very homely atmosphere. Further, they are always welcoming and friendly to visitors.


The home is immaculately

clean and the residents rooms are tidy and well presented.


The food always looks appetising, there is plenty of food on offer.


The home is great at celebrating Christmas / Halloween / Easter etc. also, every resident has a Birthday Party with the home being decorated and a singer for entertainment.


Overall, I am extremely happy with my husband's care and welfare.

My mum was admitted to Dothan House in July. She seems very happy and is always well presented, and is being well looked after. Dothan House has a family orientated feel to it. My mum enjoys the activities and participates in most of these.


The home keeps me well informed on information and updates

on my mum. It's a lovely place

My mum has been resident for 15 years now ,in all that time she has been looked after and cared for with love and attention .I have never felt the need to complain about anything , if ever I had a concern it would be talked about and resolved .I visit every sunday and always recieve a warm welcome and
a smile ,along with a cup of tea and biscuits. I leave Dothan feeling assured that my mum is recieving the best possible care .

Always caring and helpful, all staff are friendly and whatever you ask them nothing is a bother. I am happy to have my mum there knowing she is looked and cared for very well. The garden is a lovely place to sit when it's warm outside peaceful and quiet(nice to sit with mum).

My husband has been a resident for 10 years this August and they treat him as if he is one of their family very caring. The Home is very clean not the most modern but homely the staff are very loving and kind to the residents which is the most important thing in a care home.

My father has been a resident at Dothan House for 32 months. My father has settled into the home and seems very content and comfortable there. The home is immaculately clean - the communal areas and the individual bedrooms are well presented. The staff are friendly and welcoming to the residents and
visitors. They treat the residents with dignity, care and compassion. The residents are well fed, plentiful food and meal choices. My father had to go to a 'nursing home for rehabilitation - the differences between that home and Dothan House were night and day - it highlighted the work and effort of the Dothan House staff that makes Dothan House a 'home from home' - we couldn't wait for my father to leave the nursing home to return to Dothan House and be looked after and receive the care we would want for him.

My mother has been residing at Dothan House for a long period of time. The care and respect and show of love that all the staff show is outstanding and fills me with comfort knowing the level of care that my mother is given. The house is spotlessly clean, and mother is always clean and tidy. My family
are always made to feel welcome by the staff who all seem to be extremely caring. I am always telling my family and friends how lucky we are to have mum at Dothan House, all the staff are amazing.

My mum was already in full-time care, but due to several hospital stays in a short period of time; the manager decided that they could no longer meet her needs therefore a new care home was required. Mum was admitted to Dothan House in the beginning of November 2023. The difference in her general demeanour
and how she looks is night and day compared to where she was before. The staff at Dothan House get Mum out of bed everyday, help get her washed and dressed and most importantly take her downstairs with other residents (she used to spend all day in her room and in her pyjamas). The staff are very caring towards my mum and she responds to them too which is lovely to see. She eats and drinks well and has put on weight since being there. I couldn’t wish for any better place for my mum to spend whatever time she has left at Dothan House.

My dad went into Dothan House in May 2023, after having a fall at home which made it impossible for him to return home. His wife became ill herself at the same time, so she couldn’t look after him. The staff and manager of Dothan House have made my dad feel at home and it’s so nice to see him happy
and settled in. He as his own room, which is a good size and he can start adding some of his personal items to make it feel more homely for him. The staff are caring and always greet you with a friendly welcome and update us on how Dad's doing.

I cannot praise Dothan House enough because of the extraordinary care they have given my mother. When my mother arrived there eight months ago she was in a very poor state both emotionally and physically. She had problems with her personal hygiene which was sorted out within a week or so. My mother's
mental health was so poor because of stress and anxiety, this took several months to solve but with gentle care and immense patience the staff have changed my mother into a very restful and sensitive person. Along with this my mother now looks ten years younger and an absolute joy to visit. The whole team, from the management, the care team and domestic staff, are always friendly with big smiles on their faces and my mother says how much she loves them all. Finding this place was the best thing we could have done for our mother.

Staff are very kind and sweet to the residents. They really care and make the residents feel at home. Communication with the care home is always clear and helpful. My dad seems happy there and the community are nice.
