Seabrooke Manor provides a wide range of care packages, welcoming nursing and residential care needs for frail older people and specialising in both nursing dementia care and residential dementia care. Personalised respite, convalescence and palliative care packages are also available.

This four-house facility is spacious and is designed to achieve a community feel, with many pleasing additions that include specially themed rooms, a cinema room and landscaped sensory gardens with a gazebo.

A seasonal menu of food is tasty and varied to suit personal preference and diet, with hot and cold options both available.

There is also a dedicated activity room to support hobbies and interests, with themed events every month, a cinema room trips to the beach and bowls outings to take part in.

Seabrooke Manor Care Home has provided excellent care to my dad for over three years. The home itself is well run, clean and the food is good and varied and the gardener keeps the grounds lovely. The staff are exceptionally caring and all in all, this is a very nice nursing home where the staff understand the resident's needs. My dad is aggressive and shouts a lot they deal with him calmly and professionally.

My dad is happy on Saxon unit. Staff are very caring and kind. I'm happy my dad is here and getting the best care. The staff show you kindness, plus the place is smelling nice and the environment is clean.

Overall the staff were friendly and helpful and we were made welcome when we visited.

We had an issue with the medication. Twice Mum's tablets went missing as they weren't with the dosset box, also 4 pads were left on a chair, the reality was someone should have disposed of. Needed to review laundry on arrival as mum slept in the clothes she arrived in.

Thank you for your review. I'm so glad to hear that your uncle and auntie enjoyed their stay with us and hope that they will come and stay with us for some more respite care.

My dad was in another care home for approx 4 years, they found dad's Dementia very challenging and he was left mostly, days on end and very dirty due to incontinence as they said dad refused personal care.
Seabrooke Manor - When he arrived there they treated him respectfully and with kindness, humour and in a friendly atmosphere. I never had to ask them to clean him, he was never dirty. They always talked to me about his care plan and treated me as kindly as they treated my dad. Thank you to the manager and her team, they are incredible.

When my Aunty came into the home a couple of years back we were very glad.
The management and staff are the best I've seen and I've worked in care for over 20 years.
All the staff are polite, helpful and have can do attitudes.
Every time we came there was always tea and biscuits.
All the staff are passionate about their work.

All of the staff tried very hard to make the service users happy and comfortable. They all showed remarkable patience and resilience. My father was not an easy person to get along with or to care for. Despite his refusals to get out of bed the staff never stopped trying. They all tried to do their best for him. Despite his awkwardness towards everybody, we think that deep down he really liked all the staff.

For the first few months, I kept asking for certain things to be done for mum - eg hair, finger nails, chiropodist. Unfortunately, this often wasn't done. However, recently this is much improved. Hopefully, it will stay this stay this way.

Thank you for the care which you gave to my mother for the last 2 months of her life (she passed away yesterday). It was so nice to think that she was well looked after and such nice friendly caring staff.
The unit manager of Norman House is a very lovely person but then again all of you were. I would not hesitate to recommend your home to anyone.
I know that she was difficult towards the end.

My nan has been in respite for a month we have found the care to be really good and have no worries about the care that my nan has received. She seems to be happy eating the food, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A very nice and caring care home. My gran was very well looked after in her final weeks of life.
The staff and management were excellent in trying their best to help my gran.
The home was always very clean.
Was disappointed that the fridge wasn't on - which only was known when a cleaner pointed it out.
Overall a very nice and caring home with great staff.

A peaceful place with wonderful staff around 24/7. Staff always happy to help and facilities very clean. Lots of activities, great food menu on offer and the rooms are large and very well placed. Fantastic with little visitors too.

Staff are very friendly and caring. They are responsive to feedback. Inductions for new residents could be better.
Ongoing safety training to staff is required.

My wife and I came to visit Seabrooke Manor Care Home in November for my Mum. We were greeted and shown around by a lovely lady. She explained what they did at the home and felt a lot more confident with Mum going into Seabrooke Manor Care Home. since Mum has been in there, we have noticed how much better she looks and Mum remembers me as Dad. We would recommend this home. Love the atmosphere and how people can mill around. Mum really settled.

In general, the home is very good. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Cleanliness is to a high standard and is maintained at all times. Minor niggles based on limited observations only are the apparent lack of activities and long waits for my mother to be taken to the toilet, admittedly during periods of high demand.

My husband has been a resident for respite care. From the day he was admitted, we have received nothing but the best care and attention. The staff are extremely professional, kind and considerate to my husband's needs and requirements. The standards of cleanliness are second to none. The rooms are delightful and uplifting. The whole experience has been wonderful, both for my husband and myself.

I visit my sister about once a month. Do not notify the home I am coming. My sister is always clean and well dressed and I am made to feel welcome. At the moment she is losing a lot of weight which is causing concern but she can be very stubborn and the staff are always trying to encourage her to eat and drink I know this is not easy. I always go to a quiet room with my sister then I pop to her room to take toiletries down and check when she needs more. Her room is always clean and tidy.

My mother has been well cared for here for over 9 years of her life. The staff could not be more caring and supportive and displayed a genuine fondness for her- despite her trying personality. In her last week they have nurtured her and shown enormous compassion with the result that she died peacefully and pain free at 97 yrs old.

Since my mum has been a resident since January 2015, I have seen a change in the home, the staff have always been very helpful. I certainly would recommend Seabrooke Manor as the overall standard is excellent. It is good to see it being updated. The activity staff add a bonus to the residents as it keeps them occupied.

A female member of staff was very polite and understanding of a difficult situation. She was extremely understanding of our difficulty and although we were personally stressed with what we had been told by the care home, due to some difficulties with seeing our friend due to a misunderstanding. She was very respectful, polite and professional in her manner. This was not the first time we received her helpfulness, politeness and professionalism. A great asset to the care home, if only all staff were as caring and diligent to the people in their care.

Aunty is very independent by nature but she is very happy and settled at Seabrooke Manor. She is deaf and finds communication difficult sometimes. She doesn't take part in activities provided but is always actively involved in her room, reading etc.
