Park Vista Care Home

Mum has settled really well since moving to Park Vista a couple of months ago. The care and attention she recieves from the team here is second to none. Park Vista is very homely and has a good atmosphere when we visit. Carers are friendly, helpful and attentive. We are confident that she is being well looked after under their care.

As a family we were very concerned when mum reached the stage of needing more care than we could provide as her dementia worsened and she suffered a stroke. Park vista has been a wonderful place, full of supportive and extremely caring staff. The home is clean and tidy and has lots of activities. Staff always treat residents respectfully and will always chat about mums day when we visit. It is great to see mum interacting with others and making friends, enjoying chatting just like she always liked to do. We visited several homes to make a decision and our choice in park vista has proved to be the best choice. Great staff, great friendly feel every time I visit which is often.

Two staff members in particular are always available to talk to about my Dads care.

The activities coordinator is great at organising activities each day to keep everyone happy.

There is parking staff interact well with all residents.

There is clearly an organised timetable every day around mealtimes which is good.

The restaurant serves great meals and is nicely set out.

There is parking on site which is a real nice to have when visiting.

The carers are amazing looking after my dad .Specially 2 in particular. The entertainment lady is always friendly and happy to chat to us.The home is well kept and tidy.All the staff are friendly and helpful at all times.

Staff always around to help and have the residents' best interest. Home always clean and has recently been redecorated and looks amazing and homely. Staff very friendly. Excellent play team with loads of activities on offer.

Always greeted with a smile from very friendly and professional staff. I am pleased my mother is a resident at this care home. She is well looked after and I have no concerns about her care. We visit my mother regularly and she always appears happy and contented.

When my husband was sent here from the hospital the home was going through refurbishment. I had some doubt that he was in the right environment, but once I had met the members of staff I quickly realised he is in the right place for his needs. The refurbishment is now complete. It feels like home. My husband is happy, therefore I'm happy. I can go home and know that he's in safe hands. Park Vista can be congratulated on their wonderful efforts in sometimes difficult circumstances. The staff here are dedicated, kind and thoughtful not only to the patients but also to the relatives who visit.

Park Vista is a very caring place although it is an old building it is clean and welcoming, all the carers are friendly and helpful. My mother spent her final months in Park Vista and I felt supported through the very worst part of my life. I am sure that my cousin will receive the same support and care.

Mum has been at Park Vista since April 2024. Since moving here I can see she is so much happier and settled. While I can see a progression in her dementia her quality of life has massively improved. As a family we couldn't be happier with the facilities, the attention she receives from all the wonderful staff, she has even made lots of friends which previously has struggled to do. A member of staff, in particular, is fantastic with Mum and she loves joining in all the activities.

Find the carers and all the staff are very helpful and all the rooms are kept cleaned very well. Recreation very good, altogether a very good care home all activities are well catered for.

Overall good, much improved over the last few months. Nice to see the place being modernised and new flooring to help with cleanups. Would be nice for all rooms to have the new flooring. Would like to see a bath as not everyone likes a shower and hair washing facility for hairdresser.

We are glad we chose Park Vista.

A care home that provided stability, warmth and compassion when all around me at this time had just fallen apart. My dad needed full-time care and support as his dementia had quickly progressed and Park Vista provided that caring environment I was looking for. The staff and senior management were always approachable and are well-experienced with running the home for the benefit and comfort of its residents. My dad was looked after with dignity and compassion throughout his short but eventful stay and will hopefully be remembered for his humorous one-liners and wry smile. As a resident at Park Vista for only four months, he sadly passed away. He was 90 years of age. I cannot thank you enough for the quality of care he received and the support from staff who cared for him to the very end. Choosing a care home for your loved one is a daunting task but you need to be sure that you have made the right decision. I definitely did. Thank you to everyone.

Residents are engaged in activities which we feel are beneficial for overall well-being.

My dad went to Park Vista in August 2022, just a few days over 2 years there. In that time I cannot thank the staff enough for their care and support to my dad and us as a family. The care home is very friendly and as much as can be a home from home. All of the staff are amazing and the Manager, Interim/Deputy Manager is so supportive. Any issues raised (only in the early days were dealt with quickly). They keep me well informed at all times regarding my dad and always make time to chat with me when I visit from Manchester. Thank you to everyone.

Today my sister and I visited our dad. He was waiting in the garden for us and he was with a member of staff from the entertainment department, we can’t praise her enough. We sat in the sunshine and played a few games of bingo with other residents, then we had a bit of a singsong. Nothing was too much trouble for her.

It was dad's birthday today and we had a pod visit. The activities coordinator did the usual covid testing and said she wished she had known it was dad's birthday. We get to the pod and it is all set up with a birthday banner and then he gets a birthday cake and his carers sing happy birthday. What a lovely surprise and made the visit so special. Can’t thank her and the staff enough for a wonderful visit.
