The New Lodge Nursing Home

The care home was so good in the support and care of my sister for the few months she was with them before she died. She enjoyed their company and her theirs. They had fun together and easily made adjustments to her dietary requirements (she was a vegan). I would have no hesitation in recommending the Home to anyone needing a friendly caring environment.

My sister was nursed here as a fast track end of life patient. As a doctor I visited several nursing homes and this was the stand out option to me for staff professionalism, respect for the resident's wishes and desire to make the residents feel at home and happy. My sister settled in well and was so happy I had found this nursing home for her. She rearranged the room and added furniture, pictures, plants and ornaments of her own with the help of the handyman who was fantastic. All the staff did their very best to help her get the maximum enjoyment from her final few months of life, they even helped her arrange an afternoon tea for a group of the family in the courtyard garden. She was very well cared for and trusted the nurses to support and care for her during her final days, which was an enormous comfort to her and all the family. I am so grateful to all the staff for their care of my sister and their support of her family.

My sister in law was in this home for about 4 months following being told by hospital staff she had about 2 weeks to live. She quickly made friends with all the staff who treated her (and her visitors) exceptionally well and were fantastic in accommodating all her desires. We were so pleased she was so happy there with the accommodation, staff, and the care they provided.

I'm putting myself on their waiting list because if I ever need a care home this is where I want to go.

The facilities are perfectly adequate and I have visited both newly designed and old residences but nursing home quality is about the staff and the care not the width of the corridors or the car park. New Lodge has demonstrated to me exemplary care including palliative care over 6 months and I am happy to share my feedback

Our mother had nothing but praise for her care during her time at the New Lodge Nursing home. We as family members always found the staff most helpfull, kind & considerate. This gave us confidence that our mother was being well cared for and we thank all the staff for making the last few years of her life enjoyable.

They really do care.

All the staff are very professional and caring, all with a friendly smile and a willing attitude to residents and visitors alike. I am extremely happy with the care and attention my husband has received. Their aim is to please and do their best for the resident making sure they are comfortable and cared for to a high standard. When I'm there visiting my husband I feel like I'm part of a warm family. Thank you to all the staff at New Lodge Nursing Home.

Thank you for your most kind care of my late husband's cousin. He was very seriously ill. He was very well cared for and respected. I was received most courteously and shown to his room each time I visited, given time and peace and quiet with him in his last days. Thank you.

My dad is here at the moment, Allan, at 90 years old with dementia. The staff here are lovely and helpful, the room my dad is in is great, too, on suite bathroom and tidy condition. Floor seems to be good and my dad does give some positive feedback about the place and staff.

Mum moved to the new lodge after bad experiences at her previous home . Within days she was her happy self again , staff and care are excellent .Always friendly and helpful and Mum is so content , I cannot recommend the New Lodge enough .

My mum is a resident at New Lodge, she has early onset dementia and is only 62. I was worried that because some of the residents are older that she would lose her identity and all the activities wouldn't suit her but I was so wrong. She's treated like someone of 62 should be treated. Every single staff member I have ever had interaction with has been amazing, friendly, caring and understanding. I would highly recommend this nursing home.

My mother in law is a resident of New Lodge, the care she receives is second to none and all staff are friendly and welcoming. The facilities are always clean and tidy. I often see my mother in law participating in activities whether it be bingo or chair based exercises. She really seems to have settled in very well.

My mum was moved from a care home to here when she got worse and I would not want her anywhere else she absolutely loves it here the staff are all so friendly and acknowledge us all when we come to visit and always so polite

She loved the ascot day when she got dressed up this put a great smile on my sisters face while we don't see much as she is really not herself it's a horrible illness.

I can't thank the staff enough at this care home, my mum is so settled here and has been since day 1. The staff have always been so lovely and caring whenever I have been and you can just see that this is also the same when caring for my mum.

My mum has been at this home for over a year now and I honestly couldn't imagine her anywhere else. The care she gets is amazing, the staff always come and say hi to mum and me when I visit. You can see they truly care about the residents and the families.
