Our Mum has been placed in Walmer care centre after leaving hospital due to her Alzheimers, she has settled so well, the staff have been Amazing with her, she hardly eats, but the staff are constently trying to get her to eat. The staff are always open & honest with us about Mum. They encourage us to ring to ask how Mum has been, when we are unable to visit. We are very happy with the care she is receiving.

My mother has advanced dementia. I never wanted her to go into a carehome, but I have been pleasantly surprised with how she has settled. The staff have been so caring, friendly + helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and I am so pleased that my mother is getting the care & attention she deserves

My experience here is broadly positive - I think the staff are all friendly and committed to their work, which creates a good atmosphere for the residents. My father-in-law seems to be happy most of the time, although there have been a few issues with a change in his medication and some of his clothes going missing.

My dad Michael has recently been staying at Dale Lodge, and I cannot praise the home and its staff highly enough. He has dementia, so finding somewhere we could trust to care for him with patience, kindness and understanding was incredibly important to our family.

From the moment he arrived, the staff made him feel welcome, safe and comfortable. They treated him with genuine warmth, dignity and respect, while also keeping us informed and reassuring us that he was in good hands.

Caring for someone with dementia takes a very special kind of person, and the team at Dale Lodge clearly understand the challenges involved. Their compassion and dedication have meant so much to us and have given our family great peace of mind.

My experience is that of a caring staff group who provide a personalised service. They are holistic in approach and in what is provided. The residents are reasonably small in number which results in an individual being known. They are communicative with relatives and welcoming on visits. The home itself offers a comfortable environment with stimulating activities.

My mother was at Harbledown Lodge for the last few weeks of her life and I'm so glad she spent them there. It is clearly very well-managed and Sreeja the manager always made time to talk to me, and my siblings and I were kept updated of any changes to Mum's condition. I'm so pleased that the staff enabled Mum to attend the home's annual garden party in their grounds not long before she passed away.

All the staff were so cheerful, caring and compassionate towards Mum. They also knew my name and were always keen to help. The nurses were lovely and kind with her and the catering staff always took the time to speak cheerfully to her. When Mum passed away, I was treated with compassion and kindness.

Mum's room was comfortable with good facilities and the grounds are lovely.

I'd like to thank everyone at the home for their excellent care in Mum's last weeks and for making a very difficult time more bearable for me.

My aunt is always well dressed when we visit. She always seems happy. Any complaints she may have I always pass on to the manager and it's dealt with. The activities are always varied and she enjoys them.

The Activities Co-ordinator is brilliant and dedicated to making everyone as happy as possible.

The best aspects at Alexander House are its calm atmosphere, residents are relaxed because the staff are respectful, kind, caring and helpful. I have always felt welcome here which makes visiting so much easier and it gives me peace of mind to know my Dad is well looked after. The food is very good and Dad hasn't complained once and is actually much happier here than he was at home. All the staff are approachable and I feel I can talk to anyone if I have any concerns.

We were all so impressed with the care that my elderly mother received at Harbledown lodge. All the staff, managers, nurses, cleaners, cooks, carers, everyone was so friendly and caring. I felt that my mother was in a good place and I couldn't have asked for more. I fully recommend Harbledown lodge based on our experience.

Chestfield Nursing Home is just wonderful! My darling Mum started her care here in November 25 after we sadly lost my Dad. From the moment a member of staff came out to the car with a wheelchair to greet her, the care has been fantastic. Manju the manager is so lovely, she looks after me aswell as my Mum! Always asking if I am ok too and knows if I'm feeling a bit emotional and we have a chat. The Home is tired looking....but the care more than makes up for it. ALL staff are so friendly and always smiling. My Mum loves a laugh and the staff are always having banter with her which she absolutely loves! It has such a lovely feel and very homely. In fact when I visit Mum, the staff feel like my extended family! Always a pleasure to go there, after not knowing what to expect. Mum has been treated with such care and dignity. Special mention to Louise who goes above and beyond and makes a fuss of my Mum, thank you, it means so much. From the bottom of my heart, Manju and staff, thank you xx

Thank you team Haydon-Mayer for a wonderful summer fete, your hard work and creativity of those who helped create the event. Live entertainment by Amy, a raffle with amazing prizes and a delightful selection of delicious food and drink. I just had to sample everything and scrumptious it was too. Being able to complement the dishes and dessert with various chilled drinks and lovely company. So enjoyable to see staff and families sharing in the fun. Well done HM celebrating the fete with happy memories for residents and families.

Chestfield house is a lovely care home, from the minute we walked in, we were treated with kindness and respect. All the staff are warm, welcoming and very kind. They looked after my darling mum with great care and dignity,and made her smile.

My mum was placed here on the 9th March 26 which happened to be her 84th birthday once she was settled the staff came in with a birthday cake and sung happy birthday to my mum the care and compassion that all the staff have given my Mum went above and beyond my Mum wasn't easiest client to look after and often loved a swear word but that was her character in her time at Chesfield House the staff have been amazing with my mum and also with myself and my family the care manager would pull me to one side at times as she could see I was struggling there are no words to thank them enough for the care that they gave my mum in the last few months of her life thank you all so much.
