My father in law felt safe, comfortable and was well looked after by all of the staff.
The family were always kept fully informed throughout and the communication and face to face visiting arrangements/meetings were excellent.
The support given throughout was excellent and the manager and all of his
team are a credit to the company.

I have found the staff very friendly and supportive. They are all partticularly knowledgeable when discussing my aunt and her condition. In particular they are very patient and understanding when dealing with her. Regular checks are carried out and there always seems to be a member of staff available
to deal with the residents needs.

A very welcoming home to residents, visitors and my dog who enjoys the extra attention! The home is warm and well managed with excellent staff who are attentive and very caring. The ratio of staff to residents is high which is good to know and see. The Duty Managers keep me informed of any incidents
relating to my mother in a timely fashion, and steps taken in her support.

The home spent much time and effort in ensuring that all residents had an enjoyable Christmas period, with decorations, activities, presents and meals. Family and staff were integrated into the process....thank you.

Mum is safe, well cared for and content living at the home. I am confident and pleased that the Walmer Care Centre is the right home for her. The location at the seafront is special with good parking and access.

It is good that staff wear their name badges which is helpful for residents and visitors alike.

During her two weeks at Harbledown Lodge, my mother was treated with kindness and respect, and her clear wishes were meticulously adhered to. She was comfortable and, as far as possible, pain-free during her last days. The staff were accessible and informative, and, above all, considerate.

I have found the care home to be very clean and always warm. The security of the building is good, and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
The food is always very goo,d and my mum seems most of the time very happy. I would like to see my mum out of bed more and encouraged to do some activities
when they are available, also, I know there are staffing issues. It would be nice as well if there was a tea room for visitors to use, as some people travel hours to get there, and this would save the nurses time.

I cannot fault the staff and management at Chestfield House. From the moment we arrived, it was such a warm and welcoming environment. My aunt was treated with the utmost dignity and respect, and every aspect of her care was thoughtfully provided. The team went above and beyond to ensure her comfort

I visited my friend of 25 years, who now has dementia and was staying for 2 weeks respite care. Favourably impressed by the staff who seemed very calm, kind and friendly. I was there for 2 visits of 1 hour each. My friend was in the lounge with 5 or 6 other users. At no time were they left unattended.
Staff interactions with users were always pleasant, with smiles and the use of clear language. - Kind and straightforward.
Room not seen, only lounge. Overall security good.

My best friend unfortunately now has to be cared for in a care home and I have now been visiting him every week for the past few months. It is so nice to see him being well cared for and on my visits I find the staff so caring having lots of time for the residents. The home is clean and the quality
of the food looks very good with my friend saying how much he enjoys it. Whenever I visit I am welcomed warmly in a very friendly way and my friend seems to be so happy there and enjoys his interaction with the staff.

It's down to the manager and wonderful staff team at Chestfield House that my dad was able to live his final years in a caring home environment, where all residents are treated with the utmost care and genuinely valued as individuals. My dad really appreciated their kindness and humour, and I felt supported,

One of the hardest choices has to be choosing a care home for a parent.

As my Mother's dementia has progressed, the team at Dale Lodge have adapted to ensure she is comfortable and safe, working very hard for her and every other resident to give them the best care possible.

I was speaking to one

of the staff some time ago and mentioned the difficulty of their work and questioned if was easier for them over time as people come and go. She said... 'No, it never gets easier as we see them as our extended family'. I think this sums up the level of care, dedication and diligence the team exhibit. It has a family feel, is always very clean and doesn't smell as other homes can.

Thank you to all the staff at Dale Lodge!

Reply from Kerry Johnson, Manager at Dale LodgeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and heartfelt review. We understand how difficult it is to choose a care home for a loved one, and it means a great deal to know that you feel your mum is safe, comfortable, and cared for with such compassion.
Your words truly reflect the values of our team, and the sentiment you shared from one of our staff members captures exactly how they view the people they care for. We will be sure to share your kind feedback with the entire team, who will be deeply touched and encouraged by it.
Thank you for your trust and for recognising the dedication, warmth, and hard work of everyone at Dale Lodge.

My relative always seems happy and settled when I visit. The staff are friendly and caring and make you welcome.
They are very good at keeping relatives informed of any incidents or illnesses and the home is always kept spotlessly clean. Even the cleaning staff are cheerful and friendly and seem
to know the residents well. There are plenty of activities for residents to participate in - they really enjoy the music and singing - but aren't pressured to join in .
I have visited a number of homes and I would definitely recommend this one.

We are very happy with the care aunty gets at dale lodge. She is a vegetarian and her needs are always met. Aunty is quite 'on the ball' and know exactly what's going on. Whenever she tells us of an issue she may have we always relay it to the manager and the issues are explained to us. The activities
are always varied and adapted to all the residents needs. Aunty is always clean and her laundry is always done on a daily basis and there is never a smell in the home. Whilst the home is not the most luxurious I realise that the care is more important than chandeliers and crystal glasses well done to the whole team
Reply from Kerry Johnson, Manager at Dale LodgeThank you very much for sharing your experience and for your kind, honest feedback. We're delighted to hear that your aunty is happy at Dale Lodge and that her dietary needs are always met. It's especially reassuring to know that she feels able to share her thoughts and that any concerns are clearly communicated and addressed with the management team.
We're pleased that you value the varied activities, high standards of cleanliness, and the care and attention given to your aunty's daily needs.
