My cousin has been at the limes for a couple of months. The staff at the limes have been friendly and helpful. We have had two useful meetings with the manager Debbie, who is very approachable and gives us confidence that our relative is being well looked after. A problem with the lift-caused some difficulties for residents but the staff did what the could to mitigate this.

I find when I have a issue with my husband care. I have a word with the manager, the next day it is resolved. From the Receptionist, to managers, to the Carers, to laundry ladies, to Cooks and even the Electrician They treat Me with Respect and a friendly Hello. I thank God for them they all Work Very hard. Sorry I forgot the Nursing Staff.

All the staff at the care home were very kind, supportive and welcoming. They made my mother feel very much at home. She enjoyed the food and the activities that the staff organised and she made a lot of friends. The home is situated in very pleasant surroundings so she was able to sit outside on warmer days.

My Mother has been a resident of the home for 4 years. Recently she has been quite unwell and reluctant to eat. The carers and catering staff as well as the Manager + Dep. Manager have been exceptionally kind to my Mum, taking great care to ensure there is something on offer to try to tempt her to eat and to take an interest in life. They seem to genuinely care about my Mum's happiness and wellbeing and if necessary go the extra mile to ensure she is comfortable and content.

Since the interim manager was put in place things have improved, decor has been updated, staff have had up to date training to improve their skills. Fire evacuation has commenced which is ongoing twice a week. Mum is on the second floor at the limes which is the nursing floor, staff ratio has improved which means the residents have a better caring experience. My Mum has now been at the limes one year, she loves the manager, nurses + carers they are all kind + passionate how they look after her, she is very happy at the limes. We now have Monthly relative meetings keeping us up to date, recently we had a cheese, wine + music evening which was a great success. May we have many more.

I come here every other day and have never experienced any problems or dissatisfaction at all. Staff are extremely polite and so very helpful and my mum is so happy here.

Since my mum has been a resident at The Limes, nearly five years now, the care she has received from both qualified and unqualified staff has been excellent, they are very caring, considerate, empathic and show her so much love. As a family we cannot speak highly enough of everybody that works there, we are included in every aspect of her care. They communicate well wit us and are very friendly. This is a lovely home, where nothing is to much trouble. Highly recommend.

Carers & all staff (MGT down to cleaners) are very friendly & respectful of my mother. The new manager hasn't been here very long but is implementing lots of measures to ensure residents are cared for with dignity. Family members are made welcome and the management & staff are always available to listen if their relative needs anything more. Food is always nourishing and staff cater to residents' wishes regarding portion size etc. More carers would be ideal although I understand budget constraints.

My relative has been a resident since February, 2024. We have always found the staff caring and patient. They treat my relative with kindness and respect whilst responding to his sense of humour. Cleanliness is maintained by 2 fantastic domestics who work tirelessly to keep the environment pleasant. The new manager is excellent and is bringing in changes which are for the better and shows her commitment to the residents. Things like new chairs and soft furnishings, repurposing some of the communal areas, improving the dining areas which includes nice table settings and pictorial menus. The grounds are well maintained and provide a lovely outdoor space.

My dad was admitted as a permanent resident to Deangate recently. Prior to that he was living at home alone. I have seen his health vastly improve since he has been in Deangate. The carers are superb and the management has a really friendly approach with complete oversight of the care which together results in an outstanding service. The home is really like a lovely home environment. It is clean, warm, and friendly. The food is excellent and home cooked thanks to Terry and her team. I love visiting him and have had all my fears and anxieties about placing him in care home removed. This home really demonstrates what good care is about. A big shout out to Rachael who organises regular events and keeps people stimulated. The home is extremely responsive to his medical needs and has put in place physical therapy, eye and hearing appointments and regular checks of his health. He's even had a lovely hair cut. He remains dignified and in control. Thank you to all at Deangate you are great.

My mother in-law has lived in this home for about 3 years, I cannot praise the manager Rachel and all staff enough, they are amazing kind compassionate, they get to really know the people they care for and their families

Very clean, almost hotel like feel. The staff are all very caring and attend to residents needs. The staff are attentive with dad making sure he is happy, always looking smart. Dad enjoys living here, lots going on and enjoyable the whole experience for dad has been very good. He has settled well.

My father was a resident at Deangate for a period of 5 months prior to passing away recently. As a family we could not have asked for better care. He was treated with dignity and respect from start to finish with staff members really going the extra mile to support him in settling in and adjusting to life in a care home. Staff were caring and patient with dad even when his Alzheimer's resulted in the need for coaxing and encouragement. All staff from Care assistants to cleaners to cooks to managers and seniors embraced us and wrapped us in their love and care, and we will be eternally grateful for the difference they made to dads final months. We felt safe and assured that our dad was in the best possible hands throughout. As a proud veteran, the activities offered to our dad really made such a difference to our family and we will continue to stay engaged in the work done at Deangate with the veteran community. This really is a very special place

My mother was in the Laurels for just over 3 years from December 2022 and was looked after with kindness. She always seemed happy and at ease when I went to visit. The staff were always attentive and happy to answer my questions. In her last few difficult weeks when her mobility declined, she was looked after with great care and sensitivity.

My Dear Mum moved into The Laurels and Limes Care home in January 2023, she was very happy living in the Limes where she made friends out of both residents and care staff who looked after her with kindness, dignity and respect, sadly my Mum passed away 02-01-26 in the later stages off her life all the staff supported and comforted us, but most importantly they comforted my Mum hardly ever leaving her side. In the years she was there we as a family will always be grateful for the care she received from the wonderful care givers who really are unsung heroes your kindness and humanity did not go unnoticed by us

Dad has been at Deangate since March 2025. Moving him into a care home was one of the most difficult decisions we have had to make. The staff at Deangate have helped make that hard decision much easier to cope with. Dad is thriving and is loved and cared for so well. Cannot thank them enough for looking after Dad and supporting me with this hard decisions. You are all superb.

No complaints at all and I can recommend this home.

My mother entered The Laurels and The Limes in August 25 to receive terminal care. Throughout her care the staff were brilliant with both her and us. My mother was treated with dignity and care by all the staff including by those not directly involved with her care such as admin, housekeeping, maintenance and catering. I was often surprised that a staff member that I had never seen before would greet my mother by name and ask how she was.

The home works hard to provide a broad range of activities and events to entertain the residents.

Upon arrival there was an issue with the carpet in my mother's room but this was replaced in a couple of weeks for a new laminate one. Anything that we needed the home we're happy to try and accommodate.

Finally the medical team kept us fully updated with my mother's palliative care and her final days were as comfortable and pain free as possible.

The unfailing good natured patience, humour, energy and warmhearted care of the staff is brilliant
