My dad was admitted as a permanent resident to Deangate recently. Prior to that he was living at home alone. I have seen his health vastly improve since he has been in Deangate. The carers are superb and the management has a really friendly approach with complete oversight of the care which together results in an outstanding service. The home is really like a lovely home environment. It is clean, warm, and friendly. The food is excellent and home cooked thanks to Terry and her team. I love visiting him and have had all my fears and anxieties about placing him in care home removed. This home really demonstrates what good care is about. A big shout out to Rachael who organises regular events and keeps people stimulated. The home is extremely responsive to his medical needs and has put in place physical therapy, eye and hearing appointments and regular checks of his health. He's even had a lovely hair cut. He remains dignified and in control. Thank you to all at Deangate you are great.

My mother in-law has lived in this home for about 3 years, I cannot praise the manager Rachel and all staff enough, they are amazing kind compassionate, they get to really know the people they care for and their families

Very clean, almost hotel like feel. The staff are all very caring and attend to residents needs. The staff are attentive with dad making sure he is happy, always looking smart. Dad enjoys living here, lots going on and enjoyable the whole experience for dad has been very good. He has settled well.

My father was a resident at Deangate for a period of 5 months prior to passing away recently. As a family we could not have asked for better care. He was treated with dignity and respect from start to finish with staff members really going the extra mile to support him in settling in and adjusting to life in a care home. Staff were caring and patient with dad even when his Alzheimer's resulted in the need for coaxing and encouragement. All staff from Care assistants to cleaners to cooks to managers and seniors embraced us and wrapped us in their love and care, and we will be eternally grateful for the difference they made to dads final months. We felt safe and assured that our dad was in the best possible hands throughout. As a proud veteran, the activities offered to our dad really made such a difference to our family and we will continue to stay engaged in the work done at Deangate with the veteran community. This really is a very special place

My mother was in the Laurels for just over 3 years from December 2022 and was looked after with kindness. She always seemed happy and at ease when I went to visit. The staff were always attentive and happy to answer my questions. In her last few difficult weeks when her mobility declined, she was looked after with great care and sensitivity.

My Dear Mum moved into The Laurels and Limes Care home in January 2023, she was very happy living in the Limes where she made friends out of both residents and care staff who looked after her with kindness, dignity and respect, sadly my Mum passed away 02-01-26 in the later stages off her life all the staff supported and comforted us, but most importantly they comforted my Mum hardly ever leaving her side. In the years she was there we as a family will always be grateful for the care she received from the wonderful care givers who really are unsung heroes your kindness and humanity did not go unnoticed by us

Dad has been at Deangate since March 2025. Moving him into a care home was one of the most difficult decisions we have had to make. The staff at Deangate have helped make that hard decision much easier to cope with. Dad is thriving and is loved and cared for so well. Cannot thank them enough for looking after Dad and supporting me with this hard decisions. You are all superb.

No complaints at all and I can recommend this home.

My mother entered The Laurels and The Limes in August 25 to receive terminal care. Throughout her care the staff were brilliant with both her and us. My mother was treated with dignity and care by all the staff including by those not directly involved with her care such as admin, housekeeping, maintenance and catering. I was often surprised that a staff member that I had never seen before would greet my mother by name and ask how she was.

The home works hard to provide a broad range of activities and events to entertain the residents.

Upon arrival there was an issue with the carpet in my mother's room but this was replaced in a couple of weeks for a new laminate one. Anything that we needed the home we're happy to try and accommodate.

Finally the medical team kept us fully updated with my mother's palliative care and her final days were as comfortable and pain free as possible.

The unfailing good natured patience, humour, energy and warmhearted care of the staff is brilliant

My mother has just spent the last 10 weeks in the Limes portion of this care home for end of life care after a cancer diagnosis. Myself and all my family have been blown away by the care she has received. Every single member of staff I have encountered has been so kind and compassionate. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place to anyone facing the difficult situation of having to find quality care for a loved one. I have come away full of respect and admiration for the lovely people who work so hard and so cheerfully, looking after the sick and elderly in just the way one would hope for.

I am extremely happy with the care mum is receiving at Deangate Care Home. Mum is happy and thriving.

Where do I begin? From manager, cleaners, laundry, all carers, nurses management. Everyone so kind, caring, efficient, many go the extra mile always (you know who you are). I initially came for 2 weeks respite with a view to permanent, circumstances changed and I am still here. I do not have words to describe the empathetic care, support and love I have received from management, without their continued support I could not have coped. Way, way beyond anything anyone could expect. Big, big thank you to you all. I almost forgot to mention activities, which have improved 100% since new organiser arrived. Seems hat the sky is the limit. Nobody overlooked no matter what their needs. I have previously had respite care in several care homes in s.Yorkshire/Derbyshire which were all good. However, none could match The Limes excellent, superb, team. I can definitely whole heartedly recommend.d

I am deeply grateful to all the staff at The Limes for the outstanding care they gave my mother during her 20-month stay, and especially in her final days. From the beginning, she was treated with kindness, dignity, and genuine warmth. The team consistently went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and safe, creating a true sense of home.

Throughout her time there, I witnessed the patience, compassion, and professionalism of the carers, nurses, and support staff. Communication with me and the family was always thoughtful and reassuring.

A really professional company who clearly have the residents' medical and physical welfare at the heart of the care. We, the family, are included in all aspects of their care and well-being. A really caring bunch of carers, cleaners and general administration staff.

The staff at the home are very friendly and attentive to residents. My nan has built good relationships with her carers. The facilities are clean and pleasant. Overall I feel my relative is receiving excellent care.

Mum has lived in Deangate Care Home since September 2024. A few weeks before Christmas I asked if my family and I could share Christmas day and have a meal with mum. No problem, was the answer, it could get busy though. On Christmas Day my wife and I and my two grown-up children arrived and to our joy we were lead into the cafe room and a table with all the trimmings had been arranged just for us. We all had a lovely relaxed meal and were able to chat with mum all afternoon. The staff were lovely and engaging. We never felt rushed to finish. We were left with lots of lovely memories of that special day. Thank you!
