I never imagined I would need to consider a care home for my loved one. Like many families, we always hoped we could manage at home, and the thought of handing over such an important responsibility was overwhelming. From the very first visit, this home changed my perception. The staff were warm, approachable,
and genuinely caring. The atmosphere was homely and welcoming, not clinical or impersonal as I had feared. They took the time to get to know dad as a person, not just a resident, and included us every step of the way. The level of care has been exceptional. Whether it's medical support, day-to-day attention, or simply offering a kind word, every member of the team shows patience and compassion. I've seen such a positive difference in dad's comfort and happiness since coming here. This home has given us peace of mind and allowed me to be a daughter again, not just a carer. I am truly grateful.

A few weeks ago, I had to make the most heart-wrenching decision of my life, to move Mum into a care home permanently. The very thought of a care home used to break my heart, it felt like I would be failing her, like I would be taking away her independence. And then we found Aden View Care Home, they
made the transition to care home so easy, the staff are wonderful and I will never forget how welcoming and kind they are. Mum has settled so well there, she is thriving. For mum, it's not the end, it's the beginning of a new chapter. Thankyou for everything!

The home has obviously had recent problems and a poor rating. Staff have been working hard to rectify this, and I have to say things have definitely been improving. The nurses and care staff who look after my mum are always caring and helpful.

Wow, I wish I hadn't worried!
I have found Thornhill to be a welcoming environment, although the need of some updating, for my friend who has been there for the last 6 months and previously for respite care. I was concerned by the grade given at the last inspection, however I needn't have worried
improvements are being made at a rapid pace now and she is cared for in a welcoming safe place which she considers home (most of the time!) All staff are pleasant and happy to discuss any issues/questions I may have. Onward + upwards for the management with the staff engaged in changes being introduced. Thank you to everyone.

My father was moved into Aden Court from hospital, this was a huge change for my dad, and as he has only been there for a couple of weeks, I have been impressed by all the staff from the back office staff to the manager and if course the health care nurses and care staff. My father has been treated
with dignity and respect. I will provide a further update once he has been in a little longer, but as it stands I may just have to move the star rating up to 5.

From entry to exit, I found the staff to be both welcoming and engaging. They displayed care and attention to all the residents present during the visit. The home is undergoing a management review and the temporary manager showed a willingness to ensure the residents are cared for to a high level and
all their needs are met wherever possible.

My mum has been here for at least 6 years. I have always felt confident that she is cared for well, I find the atmosphere is good, and the staff are kind and helpful. I have sampled the food and find it to be good. My mum is mostly happy and smiley, I think they have good activities, and can always
see them doing something on their social media page. Overall, I am very satisfied.

The main thing with a care home is that they employ caring people who understand the diverse needs of residents and respect those. Consistency in the staff is also important so that there can be continuous care. Aden Court achieves these things.
My Uncle received excellent nursing care in his latter
months despite his many physical challenges.
If you are searching for a place for your loved one then I would recommend you visit Aden Court.

Mum was admitted into Aden Court in early May after it became increasingly evident that she was not coping and not safe at home despite having carers assisting her four times a day as well as additional family support a number of times each day.
In the early days Mum was quite unsettled but with the
care and attention from a clearly focused and hard working staff she has slowly but surely started to settle and is starting to interact with other residents and is joining in the various activities.
We are comforted that she is now supported, well looked after, cared for and is being well fed. Her accommodation is clean and laundry is dealt with and returned to her room.
All things considered, we are happy with the staff and facilities that Aden Court provides.

Excellent care by chaps trained team. All the staff are helpful and caring. In the nine months my wife has been here there seems to have been very little staff turnover which is to the home's credit. At times staffing levels can seem a little low, but considering the shortage of funding I'm not surprised.
Many thanks everyone.

Our mum was a resident at Aden Court for several years, where she was very happy and comfortable.
All staff showed compassion, care, dignity and carers support.
Aden Court provided a very homely atmosphere which was lovely to see.
Staff took time to spend quality and individual time with our mum
where a lot of humour was shared.
Sadly our mum passed away in February at Aden Court.
Staff were very considerate, caring and showed compassion throughout our mums final
weeks.
As a family, we would highly recommend Aden Court for your loved one.

I feel very reassured that my grandad is being cared for by well meaning, kind people. The team are led by someone who clearly wants the best for everyone involved. The staff and the residents appear happy and settled whenever I or my family visit. Those with capacity have good feedback and those without
show no signs of neglect or harm. My grandad is doing much better in Pilling than he was at home and we as a family are less stressed.

I have found at Aden View staff take time to get to know each individual. They learn what they like and don't like and just as important what they want to talk about. My husband has been treated at all times with dignity and respect. Everything runs well and there is a big effort in trying to involve
everyone in activities. Visitors are welcomed, including young children - a lovely place.

Arrived at the home in August 2024 and passed away March 2025.
The care at the home was the best that we could have asked for. Good communication throughout with all staff members and when they couldn't give you the answers direct, they would go and find out and came back to you with the answer. Staff
were very caring and supportive.

Our mother has been in Aden Mount for 2 years. In this time she has been admitted to hospital twice and on her release back to Aden Mount she has had bed sores and been very weak, we thought we were going to lose her. Each time Aden Mount has nursed her back to health, got rid of her bed sores and made
her strong again. March this year our mothers catheter came out she had, had this for a year, the district nurse decided she no longer needed it. My mother is 93 and the effect of this impacted her quality of life so much she couldn't leave the commode. She was uncomfortable, unhappy and depressed. The senior carers listened to our mother and they took on the professionals they made phone calls, submitted forms, chased them up and then started again when nothing happened. They made them understand why it needed to be replaced for our mother. After many, many phone calls and conversations they won the battle for her. She is happy, comfortable and has quality of life again thanks to all their hard work. The staff & manager show great commitment, empathy & professionalism. Thank you for caring Aden Mount.

Our mum spent the final year of her life at Aden Court and we will always be grateful for the kindness and compassion she received. Every member of staff - from carers to kitchen and domestic teams - treated her with dignity, patience, and warmth.
We'd especially like to thank one lady for the biscuits,
another two for the banter and laughs, and another lady for the care and attention she gave Mum - especially doing her nails, which always made her feel that little bit special.
In her final days, the care was gentle and respectful, and we felt truly supported. Knowing she was surrounded by such kind, capable hands brought us great comfort.
Thank you for everything you did for Mum, and for us as a family.

My wife was accepted into Aden View in September 2024 and unfortunately passed away April 2025, I cannot find words to describe my delight at the care, compassion love and kindness that my wife received, my heartfelt thanks and those of my family go out to the manager and all her staff for all they
did to make my wifes passage through Alzheimers as painless as possible. These are the true feelings of a grieving husband who could not have coped without their support. Believe me they put everything on the line for their residents and if your loved ones need care and they can get a place at Aden View grab it before anyone else does.
