As a son of a patiant who was in this care home all i can say to anyone thinking of sending a loved one to this place DONT DO IT the care this place provides is none existent they let thete residents lie in there own filth let them happily get scabis and try to say the doctor who diagnosed it is wrong. This place needs shutting down its all about taking money for these owners not your loved one health or care but now another resident is going to be having family members taking these to the courts for countkess neglect issues be warned any of these people who rate this place high they obviously dont see there l9ved ones so they no nothing of the treatment this place gives to patiants zero care end of

It's a lovely home I come to visit my auntie and my mums sister, the carers are friendly. They seem to do a lot of activities, today they were playing an interactive game the residents were happy and smiling also I come and play bingo and join in.

She has improved (mental health) since moving in.

Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and the level of activities that are organised for the residents is varied and stimulating. But no pressure to attend or partake.

Staff at Lever Edge do brilliant with my dad - he is getting worse with his dementia but they do brilliant with him and very very supportive with me on this journey.

I find all staff very friendly and willing to go the extra mile for the residents. The staff have great patience and empathy with the residents Just a note on my own personal view, sometimes there isn't a staff member in the living area and there would be 15 plus residents in there, same residents need watching for specific behaviours. I do believe they are understaffed and need a staff on at times in the living area. But overall staff are awesome.

Our dad received wonderful care during his time at the home, and we couldn't be more thankful. The staff were always approachable, supportive, and willing to help with anything he needed.

They made a real effort to spend time chatting with him, which he really enjoyed, and it was clear they genuinely cared. He was also encouraged to take part in the activities, even on days when he wasn't feeling his best, which helped keep him engaged and lifted his mood.

We truly appreciate all the care, kindness, patience, and respect shown to him throughout his stay. It made a big difference to both him and our family. Thank you to you all!

My grandad spent a short time in this care home, but we honestly couldn't have asked for better care. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. It gave us great comfort knowing he was so well looked after.

I have found generally the care of my dad has been very good. Although, there have been times when I have visited he has been unshaven and required a shower. However, when I have pointed these matters out, they have been addressed. It's been great to see my dad get involved with the activities provided as he does need to keep active and enjoys helping out with chores so a massive thank you to the activities lady for all she does! So far my dad seems to have settled down and I thank everyone for their support!

Since mum came into Lever Edge care home with Alzheimer's, her life has been transformed! The activities, fun, joy, and life has come back into her thanks to all the care and activities she has been able to do. Thank you so much to the incredible activities and fun that you have brought into her life. We have seen her smile and dance and have joy that we haven't seen in years.

My mum has been in the care home for 16 months. She lost her husband in March last year and because she has mixed dementia she can never remember he is no longer with us. Through this she suffers on a daily basis. If it wasn't for the carers in the home she would not cope whatsoever. She is so well cared for we as a family could not ask for more. It's so nice to go in and visit and see how happy she is. I cannot thank the staff enough at the home and when I say home it feels like a proper home. I will be forever grateful to everyone involved in our mums care. Thank you so much xx

We are really pleased with the care mum has received at Lever Edge care home. The staff are friendly and always have a smile on their faces. It's like a family. There are plenty of activities to enrich their days. I would highly recommend this home to any families who are at a point where their loved ones need to be looked after.

Alderwood is an absolute gem, from the minute you walk in the door you feel a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and you can tell that the care of the residents is a priority. Deciding on a care home can be really stressful and quite daunting, you want your family member to be well looked after and cared for by the staff as if they were one of their own and this is what Alderwood offers. They have a fantastic events program to give the residents enrichment, there is always something going on and the staff all get involved. Most recently they were making Easter Bonnets which my mother in law who is suffering with Dementia really enjoyed. It was great to see her smiling for a photo while wearing it.
