My lovely father in law was coming in as respite a few times and was so happy being here so now is permanent resident also his beautiful dog Daisy she is now a resident here too there both settled and very happy here. Dad is very well cared for but also very independent as well he always peaks so highly
of woodland court and the staff and managers are so lovely and go above and beyond for him and Daisy too. The food is very high standards and dad always tells us what meals he has had and definitely loves the deserts. We are so happy Dad is here and Daisy too as together they are inseparable we are so grateful to woodland court for allowing Daisy to be here permanently.
Reply from Amy Batchelor, Customer Relations Manager at Woodland Court Care Home

Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. We are absolutely delighted to hear how happy your father-in-law is at Woodland Court, and how well he and lovely Daisy have settled in. It's always a joy to see the two of them together; they truly brighten everyone's day. We're especially pleased that he feels both well cared for and independent, as maintaining dignity and choice is at the heart of what we do. Your kind words about our staff and management mean a great deal to us - they are passionate about going the extra mile for our residents. We're also glad to hear he's enjoying the meals. I will ensure we pass on his compliments to our kitchen team, especially about the desserts! Thank you again for your trust in us. It's an honour to have your father-in-law and Daisy as part of our Woodland Court family.

First impression is like entering a smart hotel! Friendly welcome by a staff member who escorted me to the garden room where my friend was sitting - all spotlessly clean with good quality furniture. I had travelled 40 miles to visit, so I stayed for lunch, which was well presented, nutritious and just
the right quantity. (soup, sausage casserole, apple crumble, fruit juice). We then walked around the gardens, flowerbeds and seating - before sitting outside on the patio with a cup of tea! My friend's room was lovely, excellent en-suite, roomy wardrobe and drawers, plus shelving for photos and memorabilia.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback. We're thrilled to hear that your visit made such a positive impression, and that you felt warmly welcomed from the moment you arrived. It's wonderful to know you enjoyed the lunch and found everything to be just right Our wonderful chef's put a lot of care into making sure our meals are both nutritious and enjoyable. We're also so pleased you had a chance to stroll through the gardens and relax on the patio with a cup of tea - it's one of our favourite spots too!Thank you again for visiting, we hope to see you again soon!

I recommended Broadlands Lodge to friends following a very positive experience with my own Mum. Forget all you preconceptions about care homes. BL is a breathe of fresh air. The facilities are supber in terms of decor, rooms, choice of communal areas. But what makes it is the staff and management. Always
approachable and go out of their way to learn about each resident. Families and visitors made to feel very welcome, and there's always something going on. Thank you to the whole team.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It truly means a great deal to the whole team that you've recommended Broadlands Lodge to others based on your experience with your Mum.We're so pleased to hear that you found the facilities, communal spaces, and overall atmosphere such a positive contrast to the usual expectations of care homes. Creating a welcoming, vibrant, and homely environment is at the heart of everything we do.Your lovely comments about our staff and management are especially appreciated, they work incredibly hard to build genuine relationships with each resident and their families, so it's wonderful to see that recognised. Thank you.

Woodland Court is a new recently opened building with very modern and clean rooms and communal facilities. My mother was placed here on 28 July, for an initial 2 to 4 week despite trial period. Mum was very reluctant with a closed mind but soon relaxed. Perhaps the best recommendation that I can give
is that Mum completely changed her mind within the first week and nothing a insists that she loves it here and does not want to live anywhere else. We have encountered teething problems regarding Mum's routines and washing which were addressed quickly to our satisfaction. The staff are very accommodating and helpful and there is a very cordial and calm atmosphere that is largely due to the care staffs attention and kindly manner. It's early days of course but I have confidence that once the organisation is fully functional my Mother is safe, well looked after and above all else happy.

Mum came into Heath Lodge Care Home in Feb 2023, one of 3 first residents. Early settling difficulties were managed well. The home has grown well, to 56 residents, under the excellent management of the manager & her professional team.
Mum is well cared for, both physically & emotionally. Nothing is
too much trouble for staff, from managers & admin, cleaning, carers, caterers & activity staff. Mum gradually joining in with a few activities now.

My 94 year old Mum was in Coronation House for a month's respite care/rehab following a fall at home and also 2x hospital stays. From the very first phone call and then the initial meeting at my mum's house, we knew that Coronation House was going to be good for our family. During her stay, we were
all impressed by the care given and the friendliness of all staff. It was lovely to be able to visit our Mum at any time, and also to be able to make tea/coffee whilst there. My mum had initially been resistant to staying, but agreed in the end that it was a lovely place and that the care given was excellent. Thank you!

My friend has been resident here for two years. He loves it. The care he has received is fantastic. He can be awkward and grumpy sometimes because of his dementia but the carers take all in their stride with him making him laugh and change his mood. Nothing is too much trouble, and he, despite his reluctance
at first to come into a care home, recognises that he is safe and secure with a caring, friendly atmosphere, it's the best place for him.

I have visited Woodland Court several times since it opened, most recently to play The Last Post on VE Day. The staff are so kind and welcoming, which helps create a very relaxed atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. The Head of Entertainment, has a great spirit, which is exactly what is needed
in a care setting. And the chef's food was superb for the VE Day lunch. My father was in care in another excellent home, so I can safely say that Woodland Court is among the best. I greatly look forward to my next visit.

My parents were really looked after at Coronation house whilst enjoying some well needed respite. The staff were friendly, caring and always professional in their work. The residence itself is beautiful and more like a hotel than a care home. My parents are vegetarian (and fussy eaters) and they thoroughly
enjoyed the varied menu. My mother has complex medical needs that require timely medication and this was taken care of perfectly. I confidently recommend this loving care home to anyone who is looking for the very best care for their loved ones, it's amazing.

My mum relocated to Heath Lodge following a hip replacement. From the first day I found the care to spot on. She needs quite a bit of personal care assistance which is provided with great care and respect. It takes skill and patience to do this without causing distress. Mum has quite bad dementia although
she has great humour about her. However they are well able to deal with quirky conversations. Oh, and they make a great cup of tea - essential for mum!

The experience of visiting Heath Lodge was excellent. This very much includes the combination of both carers and residents. Along with the environment, location and space - Indoors and out. During a visit over many days, the experiences was one of harmony, perhaps uniquely found within a holistic elderly
care environment. The kindness, compassion and communication of staff was very apparent and appreciated. The home is modern, new and designed with much deep consideration for its users. It felt closer to a comfortable retreat with well designed rooms and communal spaces located around an outdoor space with excellent potential. New trees, blooms and accessible flower beds are a continuous process, informed and inspired by residents ideas. Sitting out in the sun you'd be forgiven for thinking you were enjoying a holiday. Restorative respite at its best. I left feeling confident family thrive at Heath Lodge

Mum was the first resident here for a week of respite care and the staff couldn't have been more attentive. The kitchen staff cooked just what she asked for and the portions were very generous, building mum up and going over and above to make mum feel at home. Obviously as the home is brand new, the
fixtures and fittings are immaculate, comfy and well thought out. The staff took time to get to know mum, her history, her likes and dislikes. We even popped back for a cup of tea and cake and the staff were so welcoming and spent time chatting with mum and me and making her feel special. We will definitely be using this home again. She did plenty of activities and although she has Alzheimer's the staff were patient and stimulated her brain with lots of different activities. Lovely people, nothing is too much trouble for them. The price is competitive. Not the cheapest in the area but not the most expensive. Certainly cheaper than some which are nowhere near the high standard of this one

On the whole a good experience. Could do with more staff at times and there were variations in the quality of the food, particularly in the cooking.
Considering the cost I think the standard should be better,
There were no managers available over the weekends which is very surprising

Of course we are disappointed that not all of your expectations have been met and as we take all feedback seriously, please be assured that your comments will be discussed with our team. I have held off writing a review for Heath Lodge Care Home for three months to ensure I got a very clear picture of the home, the staff, food, activities and overall care of my mother who is living with dementia....
I can now say, without a shadow of a doubt that Heath Lodge is an absolutely fantastic
Care Home in my opinion. I visit my mother a couple of times a week and after the initial settling in period, which is always tricky with dementia, she is now very happy. All of the staff are friendly, caring, polite and calm, they seem to genuinely care and know every resident well. The meals are delicious and mum always clears her plate (as do I when I join her for lunch!). There are daily activities which are varied and stimulating. The bedrooms are beautiful, my mother's has a door onto the enclosed garden which she loves. I genuinely can not fault this place and rave about it to my friends. It is such a relief to know my mum can spend the rest of her life in such a luxurious Home.
