So happy my dad has landed here at bluebirds he's peaceful and happy and and I'm at peace knowing he's there. All the staff are friendly and the food is great. My family are so much appreciative of the support

As soon as I visited my nan in this home I knew it was the best place for her. The home feels welcoming, calm, the staff were friendly and attentive and the rooms were spacious. Seeing any loved one in a home is hard but knowing they are cared for in a home like this makes it a lot easier. Thank you for all you do!

The home is amazing,from all the staff,the care and time they provide to the various activities and events they put on, communication is excellent from queries to updates on mum.equally what is important is knowing mum is safe and cared for,which is so important when you have to trust a home which you are placing some you love into.

My Nan has been in Bluebirds for around 7 years now and they have been amazing. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Most times I see my Nan I get upset but the staff are so understanding and supportive. It's nice to know Nan is somewhere that care so much for the residents and their family's!

The staff there have a very difficult job as all of the residents have different needs. The residents have very challenging behaviour and can be very difficult to handle at times. More staff would be helpful but overall they do an admirable job in very difficult situations and provide the best care that they can.

I have just returned home after attending a wonderful social gathering at Mallard House. The theme was the Wild West and much care had been taken in preparing the garden for the event, with decorations, props and country music. The food was the usual very high standard, delicious, well presented and a variety of main courses, desserts and drinks to suit all tastes. I always feel welcome and I value these opportunities to spend time with my brother, other residents, families and staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Well done to all involved in the organisation.

If I had to go into a care home, this would be the one I would like to go to, as I have seen first-hand how wonderful all the staff are. I really can't speak highly enough of every person who works there.

The staff were festively dressed and their usual welcoming selves. All residents in festive clothes where possible. My husband was hoisted into his wheelchair and positioned in the sitting room so he was able to watch the pantomime. It was very emotional watching him enjoy the performance. Huge thank you to all.

The team at Bluebirds are just amazing! All of them, the care, cleaning, laundry, activities, nursing care, chefs and kitchen staff, admin, managerial team, they genuinely care for my mum and also us as a family. We are kept up to date with all aspects of Mum's care, the atmosphere is relaxed but professional, there are regular social events for residents and families and some really interesting and helpful educational talks from experts within and outside the home on relevant topics like dementia, Mum has some challenging behaviour that came with her dementia but staff are always kind and flexible with their approach to Mum, making her feel safe. We have had several awful experiences at other homes and, as a family, feel very lucky Mum is a resident at Bluebirds.

I visited my son on the day of the summer barbecue. The atmosphere was very friendly, the food excellent and the staff very attentive to the patients without visitors. We were lucky to have a sunny day so all the patients were able to sit or walk in the garden!

PJ Care looks after my wife very well despite her challenging behaviour. The day rooms can get quite noisy. A quiet room for the quieter residents would be good. Communication with staff, I'm not always sure who to speak to to get a full update on my wife. A nominated member of staff for each resident might help.

This home is a wonderful place full of caring and compassionate staff at all levels. They have treated my husband with the utmost dignity and strive to meet his needs daily. I would thoroughly recommend this home.

My father has been a resident at Mallard House since November 2006 and in that time he has hands down always been treated with dignity, care and respect. I have grown up seeing him well looked after in a facility that always surpasses my expectations - 10-fold! The current management has supported me whenever I visit and I know the care dad receives is second to none. Thank you!

My brother has been cared for at Mallard House for 18 years. I have been happy with the care and the compassion provided by the staff. He is treated with dignity and kindness. His health is monitored well and treatment provided as necessary. Communication between PJ Care and family is generally very good. Regular updates and opportunities to meet and discuss any issues/concerns resolved very quickly.

The staff at PJ Care are very kind and helpful. They know my brother and other residents very well and treat him (them) with great dignity and respect. The barbecue event on the 10th of August was excellent. A lot of time and trouble had been taken to make the event a success. The food was delicious and plentiful. The music was great and really added to the positive atmosphere. Thank you very much.

My father has been at Mallard House for six years. He has been well looked after, in what is a calm and friendly atmosphere. The specialist teams helped him enormously to live a full and happy life, as independently as he can, while still watching over him and keeping him safe. The trips out, plus the entertainers who visit are all very talented, friendly and stimulating. A wonderful team.

They do everything they can to make patients comfortable and for them to receive the best care possible for their conditions. The staff are great, fun-loving and kind. Family's are updated and welcomed. I know my mum's condition would be much worse without them.

All staff appear extremely friendly and caring towards residents and their families. Management appears to give care and support to their staff, resulting in a happy working environment for both staff and residents. The home appears to be extremely clean and well kept. Covid policy adhered to - which is good for all residents and staff. Well done!
