Home is in a good location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Any accidents by residents are quickly resolved. Any concerns are addressed and dealt with. Working in these environments is often challenging but staff are up to the task. Well done !

Marine Park is a great care home very well maintained staff are great nothing too much trouble always informed of everything that happening and the care to my mother-in-law is excellent.

The staff members are very caring ensuring that all residents are monitored and attended to as necessary. My sister has been resident for over 2 years and is very happy at Marine Park View, which is great for our family, especially as she did not want to leave her apartment. She is happy about the meals, the way she is treat, the attention she gets, including her medical needs, as are we. Whenever she has an occasional fall or mishap, we are advised about it as soon as it happens and what the staff have done to care for her, which has included them contacting A&E for a first responder to visit and on one occasion she was taken to A&E for attention. It turned out not to be too serious, the only requirement being to adjust her medication, which was all done over the phone with a family member without having to visit my sister until our regular visit. I have said before, I have no worries about my sister's care or attention. She is in safe hands. Marine Park View was and still is, a great choice for us.

Mam seems to be happy in your care, and I'm happy that she's happy, care workers are bloomin marvellous, it's great when the music is playing as it lifts the moods of all the residents, I would recommend this care home everytime

The staff are very friendly, the management are very considerate and kept us constantly updated on my husband's progress during his stay. They were very accommodating to my husband who has advanced dementia, giving him a place for respite.

I love living here. I like the staff, and I like the food. I like the staff when they take me out shopping. The staff are very kind and I want to stay here forever. I like the other people, and when we have music and dancing in the lounge. My room is lovely and the staff help me clean it

My brother has been a resident at Westwood Lodge for a couple of years. Since the new manager has taken over I have noticed the improvement. The staff are caring and considerate. My brother is well cared for and happy. I have noticed a difference in staff attitude and response to requests. The manager has always been very receptive to input and communication has improved greatly. I feel that the manager is now focused on quality care and this is reassuring after the last 18 months

Many improvements have been made over the past few years (levels of care, food / menu, in-house entertainment, day-trips away etc). These improvements have been recognised by the Care Quality Commission, who inspected MPV in April 2024 and noted that "substantial improvements had been made", rating MPV as "Good". Residents also told the CQC they enjoyed the increased activities and "felt safe", which is great for us to know!

Knowing that she is happy, well cared for, and surrounded by people who truly value her means the world to us. This place has been a blessing, and we're incredibly grateful for everything they do.

My father-in-law came to stay here end of December 2024 previously in a council run shelter but in a unit with extra care, which unfortunately never happened. He was left in his room all day an even in bed with snacks left in his sitting room. He came here from hospital and the staff here have been fantastic, dad is kept clean, brought from his room everyday to mix with residents, which before no contact with anyone. he is eating meals and tries to chat, we have never seen him look so well in two years. Wish we had him here sooner. We are happy that he is being cared for at this stage of life. Thank you yo all.

My auntie has been a resident at Marine Park View for almost 2 years and is very happy there. She loves the staff and the personal attention she gets which she didn't get when she lived on her own. She also loves the views from the front windows, especially her bedroom window on the second floor out across the park and the river. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely with choices at meal times. There are activities and entertainment for the residents and regular family meetings so that family members know what is happening and what the plans are for the future. Highly recommended!
