I stayed for 2 weeks after a total knee replacement - arriving on my Birthday. Greeted by many staff with flowers cake and buntin - what a warm welcome. My stay gave me the confidence to recover from surgery - nothing was too much trouble from any of the staff they made sure things were what I was used to and wanted. Even to my lemon water at breakfast time. The activities were good each day keeping residence in touch with the world. My visitors were always made welcome - even my daughters dog.
I would and have recommend anyone to stay - either short term or long term.

Thank you everyone for making my stay so memorable.

Overall Experience

My 101 year old mother, who is registered blind, had a two week respite break at Leycester House and received excellent care and attention whilst she was there. The staff were very kind to her and accommodating of the fact she did not have the same mobility as other residents and needed extra help due to her lack of eyesight. It was very reassuring to me to know she was in good hands whilst I was away and could not assist her in the usual way. I could see an improvement in her appearance and demeanour after the two weeks which is testament to the standards at the Care Home. I should certainly suggest someone looking for a high quality home for a relative considers the Leycester.

My dad has been here over a year and we are still experiencing fantastic care as his needs are getting greater. The staff are all so kind, caring and friendly. The care home is more like a hotel with the sociable Bistro and excellent large rooms my dad feels at home and is treated with pure dignity and respect.

Jubilee House is a warm, caring home where all staff take the time to understand the residents and adapt to their needs. My mum feels safe, secure, and surrounded by friendship and support. The home offers a vibrant and happy environment where my mum's health and personal wellbeing has flourished within the bounds of her healthcare needs. Communication with family is also great.

If you are looking for a care home or respite care for you loved one please look no further. My mother recently had 10 weeks respite care on the first floor at Leycester House and I cannot rate it highly enough. From the moment we arrived to the day she left I could not fault the care she received- and I was there a lot to see it!
The lovely rooms and shared areas are beautiful of course, but for me it is the staff who stand out. All of them, no exceptions. The care staff, the housekeeping staff, the entertainment team, the bar staff, nothing was ever too much trouble and their kindness shone through always. All led by the manager who always had time for a chat.

When mom left to go home we were both sad and we both still miss the team over a month later. I think that says it all!!

It is hard to put into words just how good Leycester House is. It's not just the incredibly caring and friendly team, or the lovely ambience of the home itself, it's more the willingness to go the extra mile to make things work for your relative and their needs at the time. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff if it will improve the quality of life or care for the resident. It is not just the Carers that care, all the staff, be they housekeeping, hostess, maintenance or management, take the time and trouble to stop and chat, offer to help and give a feeling of support. I never imagined my Mother having to be in a care home but I also never imagined there would be a care home quite like Leycester House where I would be happy for her to live, confident that she is looked after properly, professionally and with genuine kindness. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to visit Leycester House and see for yourself what a Care Home can be like when they get it right.

I would highly recommend Leycester House, my father moved in, in November 2025. I visited several care homes in the area and thought that their approach would suit our needs the best. They made the whole experience of moving Dad into the home a perfect experience. All the staff are superb; they are friendly, engaging and compassionate, they welcomed Dad and settled him in so quickly. I can't thank them enough for welcoming him and us in their fabulous community.

My mother, who suffers from dementia has been living at Leycester House for the last 18 months. Mum previously lived on her own and made the move due to a fall and her dementia diagnosis.
After researching a number of care homes my sister, mum and I chose Leycester House, which has proven to be an excellent decision. The Team led by Josh are brilliant, really communicative, always greet you with a smile and most importantly provide great support and care to the residents.

Mum enthusiastically participates in the numerous activities and entertainment put on every week, she particularly looks forward to getting her hair done at the salon and organised trips out. The Home is spotless and there are always plenty of staff on duty. Mum was nervous to go into Leycester House and care, but is happier than she has been in years. I know my mum is being well looked after and is happy, you can't ask for more than that.

From the day my father moved in, I had a sense that Leycester House was going to be the right place for him. The stated person-centred approach is clearly not just words - staff show a genuine interest in my father and treat him with dignity, kindness and respect. He required intensive support initially, which was delivered with compassion and professionalism, but his independence was encouraged wherever possible. The staff all seem to take great pride in what they do, whatever their roles, and there is always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the home with lots going on. My father is invited to get involved, but there is never any pressure to do so. As family members, we have been actively welcomed as partners in my father's care and encouraged to visit as often as we like. Thank you, Leycester House.

I would highly recommend Leycester House to anyone looking for a caring and professional home for their loved one. As a family, we visited several homes in the area while searching for the right place for our mum, and we found Leycester House to be exceptional in its patient-centred approach to meeting each resident's individual needs.

The entire team is attentive and aware of Mum's specific needs, and from the moment she arrived they supported her with kindness and patience. They helped her settle in during what was a very difficult and emotional time for our family, providing reassurance and compassionate care throughout.

As a family, we are kept regularly updated about Mum's care, and staff have been very supportive in involving us in any decisions relating to her care and wellbeing. Although it is still early days for Mum at Leycester House, we already feel reassured that she is safe, comfortable, and being very well cared for.

I am so grateful to Leycester House for the way in which they cared for my 93 year old mother and for me during her recent short stay. When I contacted them they responded very helpfully to the urgency of our situation and fast tracked all the preparation for her arrival, without skipping any of the essential processes. My mother had very complex and fast changing needs, but the staff came to understand them very quickly and got to know my mother as a person, which was not easy becuase of her deteriorating condition. I was very impressed by the communication systems which allowed all the staff to keep track of the care being provided to each individual, and also by the genuine care demonstrated, which was never hurried and always highly skilled and professional. All the staff - nursing, hospitality and management - were amazing. And the catering team were outstanding - the food was brilliant, and every possible dietary requirement catered for.
