They supported my Nan and grandad to the best they could.
We sadly lost both of them in the past 3 months
But I couldn't fault the way in which they were looked after
My Nan and grandad loved seeing them come in and the staff always made them laugh ..
It's not just a job for them as they truly cared and they made this very clear..
Thank you William wood house you truly are amazing
Lack of empathy. dignity and respect for resident.
Lack of communication between management and carers.
Name badges are not worn which is not helpful to someone who has Alzheimer's.
Bare minimum help given to the resident.
Cleaning of flat non-existent (when paying for it).
My mum lived at Margery Girling House for over 5 years. What a lovely place! Individual apartments, communal activities and great care. The staff are excellent and the place is well run. We always hoped that it would be Mum's home for the rest of her life, but sadly she had to move due to declining health.
I have been touched by the care and dignity you showed Grandma while she lived at Sydney Brown Court. Grandma spoke highly of the staff who looked after her and gave her love and respect. Thank you for being an extended family to our beloved Grandma.
I came here in February 2023. I like living here. The carers are very helpful. I do use a wheelchair and have a problem to reach things in the kitchen. It would be lovely to have a chef here. My experience of Steeple View is good.
For nearly the last year, the staff at Sydney Brown Court provided a calm, comfortable and dignified home for my elderly grandmother. Warm, friendly and considerate, the staff took to my grandmother immediately, supporting her in her needs and being patient with her in her quirks. Moving out of the house in which she had lived for decades was a momentous change but our entire family were delighted by how well she settled in and felt at home (complete with her own furniture). In her final weeks, the staff showed particular composure and earnestness, which was consoling during such a time of upheaval. A fine institution and credit to Hadleigh. Thank you all!
Most of the carers, and team leaders are brilliant but rushed off their feet more staff needed. Reliable, efficient, and caring is the best-assisted home care I have ever seen. My dad is my life and this place takes a lot of stress and worry off my mind. I am disabled and live far away and this place lets me stay when I come up which is brilliant for my dad.
Thank you for your lovely comments, we will ensure the team gets to read these.
The cleanliness and personal hygiene of the resident is poor. I visit once a week. My brother is always wearing dirty clothes, he refuses to shower, he doesn't wash his hair or clean his teeth. His flat often smells of urine. If this problem could be resolved I would give Levington Court 10/10.
As a resident, my wife has been in William Wood House since June 2022. The care and attention she has received from the staff, have been excellent. The strain on my and my wife's life has been greatly reduced, knowing that she is being cared for by a great team.
As a family, we have all been very impressed with the high level of kindness, care and respect shown by all the staff at Sydney Brown Court. We can honestly say that nothing is too much trouble. Our mother has thrived since living here and is now happy and safe. It has also given her dignity, which the alternative of living alone at home or in a residential care home could not provide. She is settled and content in her warm flat with her own familiar bits and pieces and also enjoys the garden. It's a great relief to not feel worried and know that we made the right decision to give Mum a very good quality of life.
My parents moved here a few years ago, and the care has been magnificent. The staff are always positive, friendly and professional, and it's very comforting to my sister and me since my father died that Mum is in such good hands.
My mother suffers with severe dementia and related health problems, making her ongoing care difficult and complicated. The caring staff at all levels at Sydney Brown Court, have always cared for my mother extremely well, in a respectful and friendly way and have gone out of their way to be friendly and informative with me and my wife. Thank you for all your support.
As Power of Attorney, all invoices should come through me but they still disregard this instruction (Orwell finance) and cause unnecessary upset to an 89-year-old lady.
I always get the impression they do not care at all.
He has been well looked after, and all of the staff have been very attentive to his needs at all times, night and day. He has had lots of falls, and someone has always sat with him until medics arrived. They are always happy, despite being overworked and underpaid! They love my dad and are always there for him, which is great for the family.
I am very impressed by the beautiful way your carers are towards me. All of them are very kind and considerate.
My father moved to Blackbourne View. He was 87 and moved from Leeds to the care home. The staff could not have been more helpful to settle Dad and pressure my sister and I. My father loves his new apartment; the care is excellent. He loves the food, provided by outside caterers. Only 33 apartments, very homely and friendly. Lovely communal courtyard garden. Communication from staff to residents and family excellent.
During the past year, I have had no worries about my mother being looked after by the team at Margery Girling House. The staff have been fantastic from the cleaners to the office staff and carers, they have worked as one and I can't thank them enough.
My mother has been at Deben View for the last 18 months. During this time she has adapted to her new life and settled in well with other tenants and staff. Up until the outbreak of the Covid 19 virus, she enjoyed many of the activities that took place throughout the week. Needless to say, life changed for everybody once Lockdown commenced and staff and tenants all had to adapt. Hence this review, I would like to thank everybody involved in the day-to-day care of the tenants from cleaning, laundry, caring and mental well-being of your charges you have done a grand job. The care and support received by the tenants have been outstanding. It has not gone unnoticed the extra hours that staff put in to ensure nobody missed out on their care. Even when the virus crept into Deben View you were on it and dealt with it quickly and got things under control, Staff putting their own health at risk to care for others goes above and beyond. Thank you for caring.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a positive review, and for your practical support to the team. Dare I say it has brought tears to our eyes. We are incredibly proud of this team and the wider team who have continued providing care during these awful covid times. Your comments are...
I am very pleased with all aspects of the care and attention proffered to me during my stay. Therefore the rating is excellent.

I go to see a tenant in Orwell sheltered housing. The staff give a good balance between privacy/independence and care, which is person-centred care. Independence is promoted. I am always welcomed by the staff and the house is well-kept.
Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. The aim of our extra care housing services is to support people with their personal care needs whilst enabling people to maintain independence, privacy and dignity. Getting this balance right is not always straight forward so we are...
