Review of Callin Court from K G (Resident / Service User) published on 6 January 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Myself and my cats moved here 18th July 2024. I have 9 cats including 4 two week old kittens. I have been bullied by those who live here and bossed by those in charge. I need help I do not get. The rules are extremely strict. The housing manager put me on the first floor. We should be on the ground floor where 2 animals are.
The new housing manager forced the care staff to tell lies. I have Asperger's as in Autism. Methodist Homes Association do not have experience with Autism. The flats are tiny. My refrigerator is in the living room. There is no room in the kitchen. My trash and recycling are overflowing in the kitchen. The rent of £304.83 a week is not worth it. Two of the staff do not like cats. I have a letter from a doctor and an Autism Hub service to say my cats are support animals. They are my world. I have been looking for a new home from when I moved here.

I would not reccommend Callin Court to anyone

Review of The Hawthorns from Sue R (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 11 July 2023 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The Hawthorns is set in a peaceful residential area of Ellesmere Port. The community lounge is a lovely bright area with doors opening onto a lovely big garden. Activities take place in the lounge on a daily basis and residents are encouraged to partake.
The flats are lovely and bright giving residents their private space to be alone or to receive visitors.

The staff at The Hawthorns are very friendly and always go above and beyond to help residents. They always have the time to listen to concerns from relatives and residents. Carers and managers strive to provide individualised care and always update families when required.

Review of The Hawthorns from Roy R (Son of Resident) published on 3 July 2023 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The staff at The Hawthorns are fantastic and we are incredibly grateful for the support and care they give to our Dad constantly.
Dad loves living here. He has a lovely flat so can spend time on his own or can go to the communal lounge if he wants some company.
It's also given us as a family the peace of mind that he is being cared for by the team here and we couldn't ask for any more.

We would recommend The Hawthorns highly to anyone.
