I found the decision of putting my Dad into respite very difficult but after Dad had been in Annwyl Fan for a couple of days I was amazed how well he settled. Due to the care and love of all the staff. From the carers cleaners kitchen staff entertainment staff manager and admin. The day I picked Dad up to come home he was enjoying the music and entertainment in the lounge He had a lovely smile on his face. It was the happiest I had seen him in a long time.

Respite for parent, always welcoming on admission, staff available to help staff/manager will always ring if any issues.

We know that mum feels safe, secure, and happy here and we couldn't wish for more. All the staff go out of their way to support her needs, and if there are any health concerns, they are dealt with immediately. The staff have made a great deal of effort to ensure that mum's diet works well for her and suits her tastes and needs. The food is excellent, with plenty of variety, and if a resident doesn't feel like a particular meal, then the staff will ensure that resident has what they feel like at that time. Mum loves to wave at staff and blow kisses to them, and is so happy when they return the waves and kisses. There is also a big emphasis on ensuring the residents have the opportunity to engage a lots of social activities, with regular musical events as well. The management and nurses we interact with are absolutely fabulous, as are the care staff. All I can do is give praise to Parc Wern. Thank you so much!

The professionalism of the staff cannot be overrated; I am so grateful for all their efforts to ensure that my mother's journey from 3 hospitals to Annwyl-Fan was a source of comfort to my sister and myself. The facilities are excellent with the option of returning to a delightful room with access to a courtyard exuding a sense of calm. Also lunchtime trips are much appreciated!

Mum's care is excellent. She is settled and happy. All of the staff seem to care deeply about Mum and the other residents and the food and entertainment are excellent. I feel she is safe and very well looked after.

Cartref Annwyl-Fan Care Home has been a welcoming home from day 1. All the staff have gone above and beyond to make my mum feel safe, happy and very much part of the care home community.

When viewing the care home for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities and the number of activities provided. All staff are very friendly and go out of their way to support both residents and their families. The garden is beautiful in the summer and both residents and their families are encouraged to use it. The rooms are clean & furnished and all residents are treated with care and dignity. I particularly like the social media page which always shows the residents enjoying themselves.

My father was a resident here, he suffered with Alzheimer's disease. The staff that cared for him were genuine kind people. When my father passed away they allowed us to stay with him and the staff and manager went above and beyond to support us through this difficult time. For this we will be forever grateful. Thank you for everything you did for our Dad.

Mum loves living here. She feels safe, secure, and very happy. Staff go out of their way to support her needs. She's just said that she would never change where she lives as it's perfect here. I was devastated when my husband had to be taken from hospital and put into a nursing home. The realisation I was unable to care for him anymore was unbearable. All I can say is, if you are in a similar situation you need not worry about the care your loved one will receive. The carers and all support staff I interact with are absolutely fabulous. My husband is kept clean and as comfortable as possible. He eats reasonably well as the food is good and there is quite a variety. The new manager is superb and extremely dedicated to the efficient running of the home and care of his patients. All I can do is give praise to Parc Wren. Thank you!

I live nearby and I visit very often. Staff are kind, helpful and willing to go the extra mile with positive interactions. Engaging activities, e.g. dog, music therapy. Mum, 94, is treated with dignity. Strong visible management in running the home. The manager, a Welsh learner, has a passion for caring for residents. Staff are trained, competent, with ongoing training. The home is safe, clean, with a comfortable environment. My mum appreciated the flexibility at eating times. A person-centred care approach. Safety protocols are in place, as well as healthcare/GP access. The home provides good food. The nurses 24/7 are approachable, many with "super clinical skills". Always a warm welcome! The home has recently had a facelift, new reception, paintings, a sensory garden, including a veranda, and new flooring. Making the home more appealing. I highly recommend.

All staff have been brilliant, couldn't recommend highly enough.

They have got to know and understand my dad and are respectful he's not just a number it feels more like an extension of our family and friends they even check that I'm ok.

Everyone, management and all staff ahve been polite, friendly and gone out of their way to provide care excellently for my mother. They have supported her, treated her with dignity and she is well looked after by all. Whenever we have had a question to ask staff or management, they have always been friendly and helpful. The care home is clean and tidy and the food and drink is excellent. We feel it is a safe, secure environment and they have the relevant facilities the staff regularly do activities with the residents, keeping them as active as possible. The room is nice.

I am extremely happy with the care my mother receives at Cartref Annwyl-Fan. I live near the home and visit very often, I always find my mother comfortable, clean and content. The staff are kind and caring always make me feel welcome. The manager and secretary are very approachable and friendly. The food is excellent and this is so important as my mother has gained weight since admission. I would also like to say that the decor of the home is excellent, so clean and fresh. I am satisfied my mother could not be in a better care home.

When I told my husband that I was changing the care home to be nearer home the answer was 'Thank you, I am going home to Ammanford' with a lovely smile. He arrived at Cartref Anwyl Fan on July 1st and had a good welcome from all the staff. My husband was born in Ammanford but we had been working away for many years it was nice to hear Welsh Spoken again. The cooking of food is like home from home. Doctors nurses and carers can't do enough to make life easier. I am grateful to all. Cartref Annwyl-Fan has always had a good name ever since it was built.

We chose this placement for our mother because of the high standards of personal care provided and the efficient and responsive management on offer. The registered manager, her seniors, staff and activities co-ordinator provide a quality experience responding to queries and concerns and implementing changes when suggestions are made. The menu on offer has been changed to include my mother's favourite foods. The activities coordinator is enthusiastic, personable and imaginative introducing enjoyable activities tailored to the different needs of the residents. Personal pampering such as manicures, hair colour, cuts and blow drying is valued and appreciated. The ability to converse in Welsh provided by staff and manager is valued as Welsh is my mother's native tongue. She is well looked after in a homely Welsh environment. A rare find!

My husband is a resident for roughly a year and has been happy and contented over this time. I am very impressed with the situation and I know he is safe here. The staff gives me information on what goes on in the home and I can trust everyone that works in this wonderful environment. It is a pleasure to be in everyone's company when I visit and everybody looks happy and contented here. I am certainly happy with the situation.

Well cared for and very patient. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of staff. Residents always look nice and clean and rooms are kept as clean as possible, which must be very difficult at times. Everyone seems to be happy.

We moved my Mum not because there was anything wrong with her care but because we did not feel the environment was right for her as it was more nursing care than residential and Mum did not have the company and stimulation due to conversation etc that she needed.
