We had to make the decision to put our Dad into Brooke House Care Home as our mum was taken very ill and was admitted to hospital and will be there for the next few months due to a major operation. The support the help and the kindness of all the staff at Brooke House Care Home has been wonderful at
such a hard time with our mum in hospital, we had to make decisions that really my mum would've liked to have made regarding my dad going into a care home. Every visit we make he's smiling happy and his settled so quickly which is a great comfort to us all. Marie and fatima and all the staff have been fantastic with feedback and constant updates. We can't thank you at Brooke House Care Home enough for all your support and love that you're giving my dad and us as a family. Thank you all so much .

Excelcare Primrose Croft

My mother moved into Primrose Croft at the end of January 2026. It was heartbreaking to see how unwell she looked, how she was struggling with everything day-to-day. We had tried putting in place meals on wheels and various other aids to try to help but nothing was taking away the look of fear on her
face when she had been alone. We tried with her staying with us but it just wasn't helping her. We didn't know what we were doing and couldn't find any help with questions. Today I have just visited her in Primrose Croft and the change in her is unbelievable. You looks younger, her face looks rosier and she looks like my mum again. She is singing as she walks around. I honestly cannot praise the staff enough for what they are doing for her. They are always smiling and know everyone's name. It's things like this that make the residents feel seen and heard. The staff are this homes biggest asset. They are always happy to help with any questions you have and are kind, amazing people.
Reply from Rachel Pardoe, Home Manager at Excelcare Primrose CroftThank you so much for your kind words. It means a lot to us to hear how well your mum is doing and to know shes feeling happier and more like herself again.

Were grateful you trusted us with her care, and your feedback will mean so much to the whole team.

My aunt has been living in George's for approximately a couple of years. I visit her regularly and always find her appearance clean and well presented. Extra touches are made to ensuring her clothes are colour coordinated and that she is wearing her favourite necklace and perfume. On the odd occasion
when her hair looks a little greasy it is because she has declined to have it washed. When I ask her why she did not have her hair washed she would say she didn't feel like it. My aunt has never had children but I always visit her on Mother's Day. On Sunday I was so touched by the flowers and card the home gave to my aunt. The card said "you are like a mum to us all. Happy Mother's Day". What a wonderful and thoughtful thing to do for an elderly lady who has no children. She was made to feel valued and part of the celebrations. Thank you so much team St George's

To my relief and delight, our mother settled in very quickly. From the start she sang the praises of the very friendly staff. All the employees I have met so far are so pleasant and helpful! Looking after old people cannot be a fun job, but there is always happiness in the air at Primrose Craft.
In
addition, when we have asked for a picture to be hung or an appliance mended, it has always happened fast. So: top marks so far!
Now all you need is to oil that squeaky front gate...
