I can find no fault at all with my time spent in respite care at SWL through all departments and with all staff and facilities. The range and quality of the food was excellent in all respects, and the staff always exhibited kindness, care and professionalism in their dealings with all patients.

I met Claudia - care manager today She was very friendly and easy to talk to. My Husband Michael has been at Okeley Care Home for 4 weeks and am very happy to say we are very pleased with all the care he is given - All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

After a lot of worry, difficult conversations and careful consideration, we made the decision to move Mum into a care home. My dad had unfortunately fallen and is now bed-bound, meaning he was no longer able to care for Mum's needs. Mum has dementia and can often wander off, so we knew she needed a safe environment where she could receive the care and support she deserves.

From the very beginning, Ashlyn Care Home felt warm, welcoming and homely. The staff have been wonderful and have made what was an incredibly difficult transition so much easier for all of us.

Mum has settled in really well, and we honestly could not be happier with how things have gone. It gives us such peace of mind knowing that she is happy, safe and being so well cared for.

We can now get on with our daily lives without the constant worry, knowing that Mum is in a place where she is supported and looked after. We are so grateful to all the staff at Ashlyn for everything they do.

Very professional culture very caring culture

This is an excellent facility for someone with dementia and difficult behaviour. Staff are pleasant, skilled and caring. They always make time to speak to relatives. They take on board information and suggestions, whilst doing their best to look after the resident. The environment is modern and clean.

I could not be happier with the care my parents have received at Longfield Care Home. The staff are excellent, showing great care and humanity towards the residents, always in a cheerful manner. There are a good range of activities laid on to provide stimulation and enjoyment. When my father passed away recently the compassion shown to me was hugely appreciated

We would like a morning cup of tea between 6am - 8am every morning please. lately tea has been served @ 11am. The meals have gone down hill, they are not proper meals. eg. chicken wings, burgers. Spanish chicken etc. Larger Fish & chips portions would be nice. Having 4 chips is not sufficient.

My grandmother is very happy at Oakley, when ever I visit I always get a warm welcome by the hostess, at reception, she's always so helpful and kind! I pop in all different times and the staff are always great I feel very happy that my Grandmothers in the best Hands, I love the activities that goes on in the home. It's always so fun for them!

We would certainly recommend Longfield to other potential residents.

This is not my first stay at Longfield. (I was here on respite care 9 years ago). I am delighted to see that the home is still kept in first class condition - especially as the buildings are not new. I find that all as it was on my first visit remained excellent. The standard of management remains superb and the staff do their best to see that the residents are content. In between my visits, I have done some voluntary work in other local care homes, and I found the standards lower than at Longfield.
