I can't thank all the wonderful people at Sherrell House enough.
My Mum came to Sherrell House after being confused, frightened and lonely at home following the death of my father. She was instantly greeted by a friendly team and has been treated with care, warmth, dignity and respect from day one.
Mum enjoys all the activities put on for the residents and has blossomed since being there, her confidence has grown and while she still struggles with dementia she no longer feels like the odd one out, she has made lovely friends to sit and chat with and all the nurses are proactive in making sure residents are happy.
The cleanliness of the home is outstanding, every area of the home is kept spotlessly clean and fresh.
It's a blessing to know Mum is safe, happy and well looked after.
Reply from Adele Petersen, Home Manager at Excelcare Sherrell HouseIt means so much to our team to know that your Mum has felt welcomed, safe, and supported during such a difficult time in her life. We are delighted to hear how much her confidence has grown and that she has formed meaningful friendships here! Thank you again for your trust and support. It is a privilege to care for your Mum and to be part of her journey.

My father has received excellent care since becoming a permanent resident in Moorhen Ward. He has dementia and the staff have been so caring and helpful. Nothing is too much, in particular Felix, Lisa, Rubby and Helen do. My dad has not been the easiest to cope with and the whole family are delighted
that he has settled in.
Reply from Susan Deol, Home Manager at Excelcare Abbot Care HomeDear family member of Abbot Care home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review.
We are truly pleased to hear that your father has settled well within Moorhen suite and that you and your family feel supported during his journey with us. Providing compassionate, person-centred care to all of our residents is extremely important to us, and it is lovely to know this has been reflected in your experience.
Your kind words and positive feedback mean a great deal to the entire team and will be shared with staff, who work incredibly hard to ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and cared for every day.
Thank you once again for your support and trust in our home and team. Best wishes from the entire team at the home.

I can't thank the amazing staff at Ashlyn care home enough. They do a hard job and should be recognised for the amazing job they do. My mum is a long term resident and she is so happy. The staff feel like friends more than staff to both me and my mum. Events are organised to keep them stimulated and
the staff get involved.

At a recent 'bake off' competition at Sherrell House residents and tiheir families were invited to donate their contribution of a home made cake. Staff arranged a garden party where we enjoyed the opportunity to dance with the
residents, singing and clapping to an amazing singer. The whole afternoon
was so much fun for everyone.
It was great to be part of this event. We support events when we can to support the staff as they do so much for everyone.
It was followed by sitting and chatting with residents and their families and tasting amazing cakes along with a cuppa.
My sister really enjoyed herself and chatted with families there. They asked her if she was happy at Sherrell House. She replied "I would recommend this place to anyone and the staff are so lovely" A compliment to Sherrell House indeed.
It's so reassuring my sister is safe and cared for to such a high standard.
Further more the staff create a family atmosphere and they include us to be part of it. Amazing!
Reply from Adele Petersen, Home Manager at Excelcare Sherrell HouseDear Jan,

The staff have helped us so much from the first time we made contact, right the way through to getting Mum (in law) somewhere she can be properly looked after and supported. The rooms and communal spaces are really nicely decorated, with an engaging, bright and interactive approach taken on both room
and communal space design. The level of care is both professional, but actually more importantly delivered with a sense of care. What struck us most was the fact that all the residents seemed happy every time we visited. Many have significant issues that need to be managed with care and compassion and it was clear after meeting all the staff that this is at the forefront of the ethos at the home, driven by a clear and well implemented management strategy. There is no doubt in our minds that Mum would not still be alive today if we had not been able to get her a place in a suitable home and in just 6 weeks she has physically gone from strength to strength, making friends and settling in.
Reply from Kendra Bray, Group Sales & Marketing Business Partner at Excelcare Ashlyn Care HomeThank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. It means a great deal to hear how supported you've felt throughout the process and that your Mum is settling in so well. This home really feels like a home. My mother is well known and genuinely loved. She is always clean and presentable. Even as she declines, she has activities she can enjoy. Care has been appropriate to her needs, even with significant changes. We feel listened to when we have queries or concerns. The
home is always very clean, no smells. Food and drink is top notch.

My mum has Alzheimer's and been living in Sweyne Court Care Home for the past five years now. Of course over time she has deteriorated, but no matter the stage of dementia, I know the care she has received is excellent and appropriate to her needs.
The staff are more like family and the home certainly
does have that homely feel. I had to choose a care home very quickly at the time, I am very grateful for the recommendation I received from my friend. I can rest assured, carry on with my life knowing that my mum is very well cared for and I don't have to worry.
Sweyne Court has lots going on all through the year, from old time singers, summer garden parties, games, baking, gardening, keeping fit with chair exercises to exotic animal and therapy dog visits to name just a few.
Well done and thank you to management Ryan, Charlotte, admin Donna, Housekeeper Ann, Events coordinator Sarah, Chefs Michelle & Graham plus the many seniors and carers. You easily have 5 stars from me!!

I came to Stanley Wilson having suffered an awkward fall and fractured some ribs, so I was in pain. The staff were very kind and welcoming. I found them friendly and interesting to talk to, especially about their home countries. The patience and care I received when I was taken to the dentist for an
extraction was noteworthy. On one occasion, I fell in the bathroom and was quickly helped up. My room was quite big enough to accommodate several visitors. The facilities were well planned, but I found the toilet awkward with the commode placed over it.
The meals were excellent, and I enjoyed eating in the restaurant area and dining room. The night nurses made me feel safe at night.
Reply from Susan Clayden, Manager at Excelcare Stanley Wilson LodgeThank you Edward for your positive review of Stanley Wilson Lodge . It was a pleasure for us all as a Team to meet you and to provide care and support for you while your recovered from your fall prior to moving here and your tooth extraction ! We look forward to being able to support you again in the future should the need arise. Best wishes from us all at Stanley Wilson Lodge.
