I have found mothers care to be nothing but excellent she is treated with dignity and respect at all times. The staff are sunny and bright and know exactly what and when mother needs help, I can honestly say that to mum this is her home and if she has remained in her flat I would no longer have her
with me but thanks to the care given to her at Elizabeth House she is happy and contented and well cared for. They inform me immediately of any problems so my mind is at rest that I have done what is best for my mother in placing her here.

Discussions & comments have been made previously but since nothing has really changed! We are still short of certain cutlery & not enough suitable tables etc. Again, we found my dad with a dirty face & wet trousers. We were told choice of meals was always shown to the residents but they are not. There
are a lot of little things I could comment on but I have mentioned it all before. As stated previously, there is not enough staff (carers).
Reply from Phillip Smith, Director of Residential Care at Talbot ViewThank you for your review. We always welcome any feedback good or not so as an opportunity to further improve. I am sorry that you have had to raise previously raised concerns again and I would be delighted to meet you with the new home manager at your earliest convenience to ensure that our high standards of care are met.

Caring, friendly staff in a clean, warm and welcoming environment.
Regular trips out are arranged for residents. Fun activities are arranged for residents to participate in on a daily basis. These activities are inclusive, and positive comments and praise are given to all residents, which helps boost

Lovely to see the smiling faces and hear the laughter! Definitely 5* to the activities team!

As I was admitted in a semi-conscious state, I have no memory of admission, but on going conscious felt a sense of well-being with calm care by all the staff. I felt safe and optimistic about my condition. My room was pleasing and comfortable. Facilities were adequate, food nourishing but unimaginative,
drinks adequate but not varied enough, activities available, enjoyable, but due to infections, few patients attended. I actually felt sorry for the hardworking staff because of the poor attendance due to infections. I really enjoyed myself. I'm still enjoying it!

I was at Marjorie House for 2 weeks as a stepping stone between hospital and home following an operation. I needed a lot of personal care day and night and some nursing expertise. I can honestly say I was sad to leave. All staff were competent and unfailing considerate. The decor of the rooms, communal
areas is first class and I was envious of the more mobile residents who would take advantage of the superb location and views over Poole Harbour.

My aunt has been a resident in Marjorie House for over a year and very much calls it home. She is very happy and is well looked after by the wonder care staff. The staff make her feel very welcome and cater to her individual needs whist treating her with dignity and respect. The food is a highlight
everyday and the chef makes sure there is always something to entice even those with small appetites. My aunt enjoys the social aspects of living at Marjorie House with a variety of activities and good company from other residents. A wonderful place to live when you can no longer live independently.

My mother settled in remarkably quickly and easily, having been very unhappy at home with live-in carers. The staff have all been so friendly, warm, welcoming and caring. She is getting far more stimulation and entertainment than she was at home. The range of activities is brilliant, including live
musicians, cheese and wine tasting and exercise. There are wonderful lounges with beautiful views to sit in.

A beautifully furnished home in a stunning location overlooking Poole Harbour but it's the wonderful, and caring, staff who make Marjorie House what it is. I was very impressed with Fairlawn when looking for a permanent care home for my husband. There was a room available, and he was quickly admitted. The process was handled very well and I am delighted with his care so far. He has only been there nine days, but the admin team and the carers are all lovely.
Nothing is too much trouble. My husband is a wanderer, but the home is very secure and there are staff on duty at night, so I know he is safe and cared for 24/7. Fairlawn is immaculately clean, there are plenty of activities and the food is plentiful and excellent. I would definitely recommend Fairlawn.

Positives for this: large, beautiful gardens. Warm, clean, well decorated, attractive home. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Majority of carers show empathy to residents and good level of support. Negatives: training is needed to keep hearings aids safe - lost too frequently. Smart speaker
(Mulberry floor) sound speaker sometimes plays loud, inappropriate music - other people are not asked about music choice. More communication between relatives and seniors regarding medical concerns. More one to one conversation with residents in their rooms all day.

My husband has been at Wickmeads for 18 months now, having moved from a Care Home on the Isle of Wight due to the poor standard of care and environmental issues. I visited several homes in Hampshire and Dorset and after a tiring day, entered Wickmeads and I knew immediately that I had found his home.
I left, feeling quite emotional as the welcome, friendly atmosphere and environment was clear to see. They understand his needs and respect his dignity. I can't find the words that express the gratitude I feel. The staff have given him a chance of life again, having been on a downward spiral prior to his move the staff are amazing. They have reassured me as his wife during my move to be near him and I'm now able to visit regularly with the dog who gives him so much comfort. They tell me they can regularly hear him singing from his room and I think that says it all. Thank you Wickmeads.

Both of my parents moved into Fairlawn a couple of months ago. One parent on the top floor Dementia wing and one on the bottom floor non dementia.
This was the first time they had been in separate rooms. The care home staff were great in making sure they met for breakfast each morning and spent as
much time together as they wanted.
Unfortunately one parent became very unwell and then Palliative and the care was fantastic.
My family and I visited daily and nothing was too much for them. They even fed me at dinner time.
Thank you so much to all the staff.
Also the activities on offer are amazing. Such a variety and even tailor made to individuals.
Special mention to Tina, Donna.and Hazel
Thank you.

My mum moved in in September she has settled in and all the staff are lovely and kind. They are very helpful if you have a query about things. Mum is very happy there and had made new friends, which is nice.
I cannot fault it at all.

Caring for another one with their well being who cannot quite do it for themselves anymore is extremely important, tricky, kindhearted, and much more. Within my experience here I have seen the staff perform, care, work in the best caring way, showing such thought and difference there at the Buxton House
I know my Grandad is in wonderful, safe, loving hands having a jolly time with the time he has left. Thank You Everyone at Buxton House and all your efforts!

My experience has been nothing short of amazing. Within just a few short visits, it became clear the level of care is extremely high. All of the staff, at all levels, are absolutely fabulous. It is evident that they all genuinely care about the wellbeing of their residents.
