Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My husband spent 6 weeks at Rebecca Court. From the first day all the staff were welcoming and friendly. And the staff were supportive and understanding at what was an anxious time. There was no problem in visiting and I was always greeted with a friendly smile. He chose to stay in his room and watch
tv most of the time although he could have taken part in any of the varied activities that were provided with encouragement and enthusiasm. During his stay he had a few clinical incidents but each one was dealt with in a prompt and professional way which was very reassuring. He was happy and settled and got to know the team of staff as familiar faces. Rebecca Court is a friendly and welcoming community and certainly a care home we would both recommend.

The staff are unfailingly kind, thoughtful and helpful - to us and all the residents. The young man taking the tea round stopped for a proper chat with one resident who was disturbed, and he was lovely with her, drew out some memories and settled her well.
My aunt has rallied against all odds and is
warm, safe, happy and as healthy as possible. She is always telling us how nice the food is!
The staff tell us everything we need to know and it is always done in such a nice way, showing genuine care for my aunt.
It has made a huge difference to her - and to us!

I am very happy with my mother's care at St Nicholas House. All Staff are friendly and helpful and work very hard to ensure the residents have the best care. The food is varied and well presented. Mother prefers to stay in her room, rather than go to the lounge, as she does not watch TV. Management
are always approachable if I wish to discuss anything .Always made to feel welcome when visiting. The home has a relaxed atmosphere and the garden is lovely to sit out in summer.

The care my mother receives is exceptional, from all the workers. Kitchen, cleaning, laundry, admin staff + management they keep me updated at all times regarding my mothers care, I hope this does not change with the new provider, as their is very little that could be improved. The wellbeing team provide
excellent activities.
Reply from Lisa Utting, Care Home Manager at Lydia Eva CourtThank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts on the Service we provide to both yourself and your Mother, it is always good to hear our feedback as it provides us with opportunities to look at where we can enhance our service overall.

Full time resident. Staff have been very supportive and considerate of his severe anxiety. He is helped to wash and dress. A good assortment of dietary needs. Staff are all very thoughtful and know that he can take a second to reply.
He is very happy to be able to watch the wildlife in the garden.

Since mum's arrival in November, I and my family have been very happy with the excellent care that she has been given. The Carer's are so friendly and always happy. I feel very comforted that they take such special care, and always respectful. The team leaders are always on hand if I need to discuss
mum's needs or have any concerns. The reception staff also are easy to talk to and are super friendly too. Big Thank you on behalf of my mum and my family.

Mum has been a resident for over 5 years and is late stage dementia. The dementia unit is very small so this means mum has one to one care which is brillant. The staff are friendly and welcoming. My main issue is with the laundry. I understand all the clothes get washed together and things get muddled
but everything is named. On my last visit I checked mums things there was a vest that wasn't hers & it was digusting and I wouldn't use it to wash my floor with. Another occasion mum had no nighties I asked what will happen tonight & was told we will look around & find her something. Mum has already lost all her dignity & I don't want her wearing other people's clothes!

I have nothing but the highest regard for the care staff; they are so patient with my mum and show her kindness above and beyond what I would expect. Mum talks about them as if they are friends, the leaders are always happy to talk with me and answer anything I have questions about. Mum has early stage
Alzhiemers and breast cancer, but this place has made what is a hard time for mum, very peaceful, calm, and she feels safe. I couldn't ask for a more caring environment.

My dad moved into Weavers Court a few months ago, and I honestly can't praise the home and staff enough. From day one, everyone has been so welcoming, kind, and supportive. Nothing ever seems too much trouble, and the care is given with genuine warmth and compassion. There is a lovely, friendly atmosphere
throughout the home, which immediately put both my dad and me at ease. Knowing he is safe, well cared for, and not living alone anymore has been a huge relief for me. I'm so grateful to all the wonderful staff at Weavers Court for the care, respect, and kindness they show every day. I would highly recommend this residential home to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for a loved one.

From the moment I walked in I knew mum would like it- the staff were so helpful and kind. I read the reviews that were old and didn't sound good! I would say go take a look- it's a gut feeling to know if your loved one will be cared for. Moving mum here from another care home 5* reviews!! Well I wouldn't
give it 2* there's no comparison. Mum and I are so happy, well done to the staff who make it a great care home.

My mum and dad in their 80's, moved into Green Lane View in November 2025. Dad has a number of health issues and mum is his main carer. They are both quite frail but try to maintain a level of independence. From the first day they moved in, the staff at GLV have been kind and supportive, ensuring their
welfare and safety without taking over or compromising their independence. My parents have appreciated the fact that there is always someone available if they have needed help or support. My brother and I have also found this very reassuring as we were constantly worried about them when they lived alone. They take advantage of the restaurant a couple of times a week, but they cook their own meals other days. Both myself and other members of my family have had a meal at the restaurant and the food is of a very high standard. Staff and residents organise a number of social activities which residents can enjoy if they wish. My family are extremely satisfied with Green Lane View.
Reply from Darnell Empson, Manager at Green Lane ViewThank you for taking time to submit a review. Mum and Dad soon settled into life at Green Lane View and made friends with other tenants. They are a lovely couple and now part of the Green Lane View family. Maintaining independence is a priority, staff are of course at hand to step in if needed. Thank you to you and your Brother for all your support, working together ensures the best outcomes for your Mum and Dad.
