Sadly our aunt will not be returning to Rebecca Court as she is not likely to come out of hospital. But her time at the home has been excellent. Care could not have been bettered. All the staff have been lovely with her and so friendly and caring to us. She loved the food (always commented on it!!)
and was always clean and tidy - as was the home itself. We are so pleased we chose Rebecca Court for her. Thank you to all the staff.

Considering the shortage of care workers Ellacombe does a very good job with many caring and considerate staff. My husband can be very aggressive and I understand why some of the staff are unwilling to do personal care with him.
Reply from Martin Mayega, Manager at EllacombeThank you for your kind words. We do our absolute best to ensure that we support every resident, regardless of how they present. Our staff are trained to care for our residents in a person centred way, regardless of some of the challenges involved. We are privileged to be able to make a difference to their lives, and to put a smile on their faces.

We were always happy with mum's care; she was always kept clean, tidy and very well fed, her room was always kept clean, tidy and fresh, as were her clothes. At the end of her life, we were informed about how things were going and at the end, nobody could have been more helpful.

My mother was a resident at Lloyd Court for 15 years until her death in April. The love and care she received from all the staff was second to none and she was so happy there. The staff became like lour family. They were happy to let us hold the commemoration of my mother Angela's life at Lloyd Court
so that the people who cared for her and lived with her in the last years of her long life could be there. It was so lovely to hear their memories of her. She was 99 when she died and we truly believe that her long life was partly due to the excellent care she received. Our whole family would like to thank Lloyd Court from the bottom of our hearts for everything they did. Gerda
Reply from Zoe Heslin, Deputy Manager at Lloyd CourtDear Gerda, Thank you so much for your kind words. It really was a pleasure to look after your mother, please keep in touch. Best wishes, Zoe Heslin

The care team here are amazing. When my mum moved in there in 2022 I instantly felt relief, knowing she would be cared for properly. The care team are around 24/7 if my mum needed them, always friendly and upbeat. They are not only around for residents but family too. I would not want my mum anywhere
else as she loves the care team probably more than her own children, which is totally understandable given all they do for her.
Reply from Sandra Spanton, Manager at Redmayne ViewThank you for your positive review. It is our greatest joy to provide the best possible care to our tenants. Your Mum is a pleasure to care for it is the amazing tenants and their families that make our jobs worthwhile.

We Moved my Elderly Aunt into Lloyd court last October, she felt at home from day one and hasn't looked back after living on her own for 3 years, she often says she wished she had moved sooner. My Aunt now feels safe and secure knowing there are other people around her.The care my Aunt receives is
excellent in every aspect, all the staff are wonderful and so caring nothing is ever too much trouble for them.My Aunt has made lots of new friends and enjoys getting involved with the activities the staff lay on for the residents .
We ourselves could not be happier knowing she is being so well cared for in a safe and happy environment .
Reply from D Bailey, Business Administrator at Lloyd CourtThank you so much for the lovely review. Your Aunt has settled in brilliantly and we are so pleased she chose to be at Lloyd Court. We hope she has many happy years with us.

My husband has just spent 18 nights in Cranmer House whilst I was on holiday. He was quite reluctant to go but the kindness and professionalism of the staff won him over. He had nothing but praise for all the staff. Kirsty & Paula run an excellent team and I was able to have a holiday without having
any concerns whatsoever. Both Peter and I would/will have no qualms in using this service again in the near future. It would be the ideal place for Peter on a permanent basis if at all possible.
Reply from Kirsty Sleightholme, Registered Manager at Cranmer HouseDear Nicola, Thank-you so much for your kind words and such positive feedback, it is very much appreciated and will be shared with the whole team. We look forward to seeing you both and your family when you need us again in the future.

I cannot speak too highly of Ellacombe. All the staff I've come across have been kind and caring even though my husband's behaviour is very challenging, Another care home wouldn't take him because of this. His physical needs have increased considerably since he has been in the home as well but at no
point has there been any doubt that they will continue to care for him. He is getting more attention from the doctor than he's ever had from our local surgery.
Ellacombe literally rescued me in my hour of need. I was at the end of my tether and dread to think what the outcome would have been if I hadn't found Ellacombe. The staff have been so welcoming and kind to both me and my daughter during what has been an extremely stressful experience.
Reply from Martin Mayega, Manager at EllacombeGood morning Barbara, thanks ever so much for your kind words. It is our pleasure to support your husband and to ensure that he is comfortable and happy. His well being is our pride. Kind regards Martin M- Manager

My Father has been resident here for one year after we trialled 2 other homes. Given my experience and knowledge of other care homes in the area. This place is clean, the staff are knowledgeable and very helpful at all levels, from management to the cleaners everyone I encounter is dedicated to their
role :-) .
I would recommend this home if you are seeking somewhere to look after your relatives etc,

Since November 2025 Alf is sitting in a chair 3 times too big thus he don't sit up straight. The chair he's in, the footrest is now broken, and I have been told it's up to me to buy a new chair. After paying over £90,000 since he has been in the home, and being promised a new chair 18 months ago isn't
fair. Norse only wants to take money and do nothing for it.

Mum has just had two weeks respite care in High Haven and had a wonderful time. She keeps talking about how lovely are, and how well they looked after her. I agree - each time I visited, the staff were absolutely lovely - so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I really couldn't recommend High Haven strongly
enough. Mum is already looking, forward to going back later in the year, and I know while she is there, I can relax knowing that she is in great hands. 100% happy!
Reply from Phillipa Bell, Manager at High HavenThank you so much for your wonderful review, we are so pleased your mum enjoyed her time us with and look forward to her returning later in the year, additionally we are thrilled to know that you felt able to relax knowing mum was in safe hands. I will pass your words of kindness onto the team, thank you once again.

My Mum moved to Green Lane view shortly after my dad passed away. Retaining her independence was really important to my Mum and I and moving there allowed her to be independent and have her own apartment. Mum fell in love with Green Lane View the minute she visited and all of the team made her feel
so welcome and part of the family from day 1. Living 3 hours away from my Mum has been a challenge, particularly as I am not on her doorstep, however all of the staff and managers there have been amazing, respecting my Mums independence and providing excellent care and support. It's been so reassuring to know Mum was safe and not living alone. Everyone is so friendly, caring, kind and always have time for a chat. Nothing was too much trouble and if ever I had any worries, they were there to talk too. Supporting me as well as my Mum. I can't recommend and praise them enough, they provide a safe and welcoming place to live.
Reply from Darnell Empson, Manager at Green Lane ViewThank you for your positive review which I will share with my team. Mum was an incredible independent lady and it was a pleasure to care for her and a privilege to have her as part of our Green lane View family.

Putting mum into care was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make but ultimately has turned out to be one of the best decisions. We looked at several care home options before realising Oakes Court was the one. From the first moment mum was made welcome. She has a flat that is
appropriate for her needs, the care is first class and mum absolutely loves the staff. They are friendly, trustworthy, treat her with respect and crucially communication between the staff and family is excellent. Staffing is consistent too, which for a resident with dementia, is important. Mum jokes that it is like living in a 5-star hotel. For the first time in several years I can relax knowing mum is in the best place.
Reply from Victoria Farnham, Manager at Oakes CourtThank you so much, Kay, for your kind and thoughtful review. We know how emotional and difficult the decision to move a loved one into care can be, so it means a great deal to hear that both you and your mum feel happy and reassured at Oakes Court. Were delighted that your mum feels so welcomed and comfortable in her home with us, and that our teams care, consistency, and communication have made such a positive difference for both of you. Hearing her describe life here as living in a 5-star hotel truly made us smile. Thank you again for placing your trust in us and for taking the time to share your experience. Your lovely words will mean so much to the whole team.
