We cannot recommend Harker House enough.

My dad stayed at Ellcombe for respite (4 weeks). I was contacted in advance by staff to complete paperwork that identified his needs, likes, dislikes etc. Very helpful for them to stat to know him. Staff were very welcoming and reassuring when we arrived. I liked the spacious open plan living/dining area - lots of light and had a calm atmosphere - not too much noise or over stimulation. Dad is registered blind, very hard of hearing + has dementia so this room had a nice feel about for dad. His room was quite small with no ensuite, but his night time needs were managed well by staff. Overall the staff were attentive and dad was well looked after - he was seen by the Dr during his stay and staff were very accommodating to organise hair cut and foot and nail care also.

My late Mum loved her time at Harker House, the staff were always so good and very kind to her. Can't fault them in anyway at all. Activities are good for the residents and the food is a very good standard. Clean and tidy place overall - will miss visiting Mum and seeing the staff now she has passed away

For over 6 1/2 years my mother has been resident at Harker House, Long Stratton. During that time she received the very best of care, love, understanding and respect. She was always listened to by staff and treated with respect and kindness. She enjoyed a wide variety of activities and made many new friends. She played bingo just one week before passing away at 105 years old! She loved the staff and regarded them as family and they treated her as such. We are grateful to them all. Harker House is only as good as its staff, and they are excellent!!

I visit often. The staff are always amazing with all of the residents of the Care home. They are patient, kind and always respectful. The home is always clean and as homely as it can be made. There is always an activity going on, jigsaw making, nail painting dancing to music, singing. I have never seen the Staff without a smile. In a emergency the staff are quick to react and very calm, dealing with the person and family. I leave Munhaven knowing my Mum is being really well looked after

Everything about Munhaven Care Home is impressive- the staff are very professional, caring and seem to go this extra mile to make life as interesting and pleasant for the people in their care.

There is fun and laughter in a safe environment where individuality is valued. Sydney House provides care that ensures it is the definition of home.

After 3 years of living in care, I think Sydney House is by far the best. I am perfectly content living here. I am a near ninety year old resident completely mentally capable but a trifle physically frail, I am in this home because I cannot look after myself. Sydney House offers a total service to allow me to still be as independent as I can. The method is that the carers provide for every need of the residents according to their needs: mine being minimal. I was however, on my arrival assigned the task of "gardener" with absolute assistance from the staff and successful results. This example shews how every residents wants are catered for. Bingo is popular. The carers know all of the requirements and perform them effortlessly. This note lacks criticism of Sydney House house because I ain't got any.

Sydney House is a home where you soon feel part of a family. The staff genuinely care for their residents. Not only has my uncle been welcomed into this family but I have too. The staff are always so welcoming and helpful. My uncle always looks very well groomed and he takes part in lots of the activities. The whole place is exceptionally clean and there are never any unpleasant smells. When I leave my uncle I know he is being well looked after and he is safe. I would like to say a big thank you from management to caring staff for making us both so welcome.

Only one sore point was activities, as I felt these were not enough. That's not to say the person who currently does the activities wasn't delivering a good service, but that with what resources she has she does very well, but those resources could be tripled in time and money, to produce an excellent outcome for the residents, and job satisfaction for her!

I would recommend Beauchamp House to any family looking for peace of mind.

Mum received love, patience, respect, care and kindness during a most vulnerable time in her life. Staff interacted and spent time getting to know her. I could relax knowing she ate well. Staff did everything possible to help create a happy and positive environment. I will always be thankful for the care shown by staff more like family and it is a comfort knowing mum was at Harker House for her final years.

My brother first came with Dementia and was always jolly and cheeky. The staff reciprocated, but with respect. Now for his last months, although unable to do much they still treated him with humour which he obviously enjoyed as he would smile, we appreciated this very much. They always treated us almost as friends and seemed a dedicated group. We were impressed by the whole service given and couldn't have wished for a better end for our much loved brother, husband, uncle and father. Thank you.

We as a family found all the staff very friendly & helpful. Mum has been cared for very well.

Sadly our aunt will not be returning to Rebecca Court as she is not likely to come out of hospital. But her time at the home has been excellent. Care could not have been bettered. All the staff have been lovely with her and so friendly and caring to us. She loved the food (always commented on it!!) and was always clean and tidy - as was the home itself. We are so pleased we chose Rebecca Court for her. Thank you to all the staff.

We were always happy with mum's care; she was always kept clean, tidy and very well fed, her room was always kept clean, tidy and fresh, as were her clothes. At the end of her life, we were informed about how things were going and at the end, nobody could have been more helpful.
