High Haven

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Mum has just had two weeks respite care in High Haven and had a wonderful time. She keeps talking about how lovely are, and how well they looked after her. I agree - each time I visited, the staff were absolutely lovely - so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I really couldn't recommend High Haven strongly
enough. Mum is already looking, forward to going back later in the year, and I know while she is there, I can relax knowing that she is in great hands. 100% happy!
Reply from Phillipa Bell, Manager at High HavenThank you so much for your wonderful review, we are so pleased your mum enjoyed her time us with and look forward to her returning later in the year, additionally we are thrilled to know that you felt able to relax knowing mum was in safe hands. I will pass your words of kindness onto the team, thank you once again.

Green Lane View

from Dianne N (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 May 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum moved to Green Lane view shortly after my dad passed away. Retaining her independence was really important to my Mum and I and moving there allowed her to be independent and have her own apartment. Mum fell in love with Green Lane View the minute she visited and all of the team made her feel
so welcome and part of the family from day 1. Living 3 hours away from my Mum has been a challenge, particularly as I am not on her doorstep, however all of the staff and managers there have been amazing, respecting my Mums independence and providing excellent care and support. It's been so reassuring to know Mum was safe and not living alone. Everyone is so friendly, caring, kind and always have time for a chat. Nothing was too much trouble and if ever I had any worries, they were there to talk too. Supporting me as well as my Mum. I can't recommend and praise them enough, they provide a safe and welcoming place to live.
Reply from Darnell Empson, Manager at Green Lane ViewThank you for your positive review which I will share with my team. Mum was an incredible independent lady and it was a pleasure to care for her and a privilege to have her as part of our Green lane View family.

Oakes Court

from Kay L (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 May 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Putting mum into care was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make but ultimately has turned out to be one of the best decisions. We looked at several care home options before realising Oakes Court was the one. From the first moment mum was made welcome. She has a flat that is
appropriate for her needs, the care is first class and mum absolutely loves the staff. They are friendly, trustworthy, treat her with respect and crucially communication between the staff and family is excellent. Staffing is consistent too, which for a resident with dementia, is important. Mum jokes that it is like living in a 5-star hotel. For the first time in several years I can relax knowing mum is in the best place.
Reply from Victoria Farnham, Manager at Oakes CourtThank you so much, Kay, for your kind and thoughtful review. We know how emotional and difficult the decision to move a loved one into care can be, so it means a great deal to hear that both you and your mum feel happy and reassured at Oakes Court.
Were delighted that your mum feels so welcomed and comfortable in her home with us, and that our teams care, consistency, and communication have made such a positive difference for both of you. Hearing her describe life here as living in a 5-star hotel truly made us smile.
Thank you again for placing your trust in us and for taking the time to share your experience. Your lovely words will mean so much to the whole team.

Staff numbers have been reduced to the point where care which Norse is contracted to supply is not being met.
We have been misinformed about the services Norse should be supplying. I have a copy of Norse's contract with the Council which confirms this statement.
Until recently this was a happy and
contented place to live. Now, both residents and staff are dissatisfied and unhappy with the present regime.
Reply from Zoe Heslin, Deputy Manager at Lloyd CourtDear R B,

I am sorry to hear you are frustrated with the level of service. All tenants received a robust assessment that is regularly reviewed to create care plans that are tailored to individual care needs. We use this information to ensure we are adequately staffed this enables all care needs to be met. Staff must prioritizes care first and foremost, but where possible staff will facilitate activities and additional tasks to promote independence and create a sense of community. this includes tenant led activities. We are more than happy to discuss this with you, as we have an open-door policy.

Yours Sincerely
Zoe Heslin

I am so pleased that i chose Rebecca Court Care Home for my friend. From my first visit to the home i knew she would be happy there. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and caring, nothing is too much trouble for them. My friend always comments on how nice the food is which is brilliant as she is a
fussy eater. I think this is an excellent care home and would highly recommend it to anyone
I can not praise this care home enough

Very friendly and respectful care staff. The home itself, whilst very clean, is in real need of refurbishment or at least a freshen up with a coat of paint. The lift is in urgent need of investment, either replacement or heavy overhaul/repair as it's forever breaking down. Garden surroundings are nice
too but the car parking could be improved as it's often full and we have to park on the grass. Overall, I'm content with my Mum being a resident at Woodlands and reassured that she's looked after so lovingly by the wonderful staff who make it what it is.

Although my dad has only been at Woodlands for a few weeks all the staff, both carers and office, have made a stressful time much more bearable. It has taken my dad a while to adjust but the staff have done all they can to make it a 'home' for him, and for him to feel comfortable. The home does give
a pleasant, friendly and accommodating vibe and we as a family are very happy for him to be there.

We as a family breathed a sigh of relief when mum moved into Laburnum Grove in Thetford. The level of care and kindness she has received has been of the highest standard. Now she has become bed ridden I can't fault her care. Each and every one of the team from management and carers to the laundry woman
all work with my mother with respect and professionalism and love. Its amazing. They are brilliant. Thank you.

My aunt has lived at Woodlands for a year and half now. During this time she's had a lot of complex issues and some that have been very challenging to deal with. Everyone that works there has been brilliant through it all. Even getting her hospital appointments to see what's causing some issues which
I couldn't have done on my own. The carers there are amazing and when thanked they say it's our job/that's what we're here for but they really go above and beyond that. I can't thank them enough for all they do for her and me.

Overall me and my family are happy with the care given to our mum. Sometimes I think the food could be a little bit better, does not always look inviting. I am concerned for residents that you only have 1 member of staff on after 10 o'clock at night. As they sometimes have to go off to another section.
This in my opinion, is dangerous and is an accident waiting to happen. The staff are doing their very best with what they have got.
Reply from Lisa Utting, Care Home Manager at Lydia Eva CourtThankyou for taking the time to provide us with your valued feedback on the service we provide at LEC, we are always here to discuss your feedback individually and we actively look for opportunities to enhance the service we already deliver at Lydia Eva Court.

It is rare to feel that every individual has value within any service provision industry. This, however, is exactly what The Meadows provides for me. A beautiful, spacious flat to call home and a care team who give me everything I need and far beyond; dignity, respect, the right to choose, the right
to voice my needs and opinion, encouragement, support and so on. From receptionists to domestics and care staff to management - everone at The Meadows follows and strong ethos that makes me feel valued and respected.
Reply from Emma Smith, Acting Manager at The MeadowsThank you so much for your incredibly kind and heartfelt feedback. Reading your words truly means the world to us.
It is wonderful to hear that you feel valued, respected, and at home here at The Meadows - that is exactly what we strive to achieve every single day. Knowing that our team, across all roles, has made such a positive impact on your experience is something we are immensely proud of.
Your comments about dignity, choice, encouragement, and support perfectly reflect the values and ethos we work hard to uphold. We believe that every individual matters, and it's so reassuring to know that this is being felt and experienced in such a meaningful way.
I will be sure to share your lovely feedback with the entire team - it will mean a great deal to everyone.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. We are absolutely delighted to have you as part of The Meadows community.
Warmest wishes,
The Meadows Team
