My mother is very happy in Archers Park, she is also eating her meals which she never done at home. She is also getting bathed which I could never do at home as she wouldn't let me. She has made friends at archers park and enjoys herself. Overall my mother is very well looked after, all the staff are brilliant especially Lovelie. Thank you for taking good care of my mum.

Archers Court is a very welcoming home. The family can visit our brother at any time. The staff interact well with all residents. There are many activities on offer. The recent addition of a secure garden is lovely. The home is clean and tidy and the food provided is of a high standard. Any questions we have relating to our brother is answered promptly and proffesionally. The manager of Archers interacts with all residents which is a pleasure to see; she chats with them, joins in with whatever activity is happening, sing, dance, exercise

My experience of my mam living in this care home is of only praise.
The care she receives is something as a family would not be able to manage ourselves.

We are extremely grateful for everything that is done for her.

My brother has been in care for 8 month and in Archers Court for 5 month. This care home is the best care home I have been in, I have visited many, the manager is first class with all the residents and joins in with whatever is going on, the food is first class as well its like a 5 star hotel what is baked and served in the care home. Staff are friendly and helpful and I visit all the time and see first hand in what is done. The new back garden is an added addition and in all is 5 star rating

Review of Ashlea Lodge Care Home from Michelle G (Daughter of Resident) published on 7 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Mum has been a resident for a few years now. She refers to her room as "home".
This makes us so happy, as do the entire staff, from management to cleaning staff, they are just amazing. They've personified the word "carer" from the very beginning.

The loving care my Mum & all of the other residents receive from the staff is beautiful to see. The interaction between them all is like that of a very large family, all caring & to the same goal - happy, healthy people, making every day as good as the last. I can't put into words how truly grateful we, as a family, are to them all. Knowing Mam is cared for, safe, happy & with proper care & given the right medication at the right times is such a relief to us. I, for 1, sleep a lot better, knowing this & that the staff will ring us if there's anything to report. Thank you, to each & every 1 of Ashlea Lodges staff for giving us peace of mind & genuinely caring for our precious Mum.

Reply from Gillian Varley, Home Manager at Ashlea Lodge Care Home

Accepting that a parent needs to move out of their own home and into residential care can never be easy. However, the manager and staff at Ashlea Mews have made this process as smooth as possible. They show kindness and compassion to our whole family - not just to my mam. She is well cared for and all the carers treat her with respect and sensitivity as well as showing a much appreciated liveliness and sense of humour! The manager always has a listening ear and gives sound advice. We are extremely grateful to all staff. Thankyou all very much.

Can't speak highly enough of the team looking after my mother-in-law. They genuinely care, and communication from the home to the family is good. It's reassuring for the family that she is safe and well looked after.

Mam has resided at Ashlea Lodge for 10 months. It was never something we wanted to do, to have to look for a care home for her. We love the home, Mam is so well cared for, staff are great and you can see how much they care for all of their residents. Whenever we ask for anything, nothing is too much trouble. Mam has settled in so well. Very happy with home, cannot fault the home or staff.

My Mam moved into Ashley Mews in April having been cared for at home for a number of years previously and as expected it was an extremely anxious time for us all. I cannot express how grateful I am to all of the staff at Ashley Mews for making that transition as supportive as possible. I no longer worry about her being safe, clean or unattended and I know she is receiving the highest standard of care. The home is welcoming and accommodating, supporting visits at all times.

Review of Ashlea Lodge Care Home from Lynn D (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I visit the care home 4 to 5 times a week to visit Mam and I visit at different times of the day. Mam has been in the care home since January 2026. During the last 6 months I have nothing but praise from the hard working team from the kitchen team who feed mam to the carers that look after Mam. They are worth their weight in gold. You have a good hardworking team and this is priceless to a care home. They have full respect for Mam they talk and chat to her in a lovely manor and have built up a relationship with her over the 6 month and with Dad who visits everyday without fail. In my opinion I feel Mam is well looked after. However If I was worried about anything I wouldn't be afraid to speak up and voice my concerns to the management team. When I have spoke or emailed the management I have always received a reply in a timely manner. While I was on holiday I was kept up to date with Mams health care as we have had issues with her catheter, and I was very grateful for this.

My mother was admitted in early May. She had great difficulty in communicating and recognising her family before she was admitted to Ashley Mews. The improvement in her awareness since her time here is remarkable. She is more alert and aware of her family again. I feel the care and interaction within her environment have gone a long way to her overall improvement. The atmosphere within Ashley Mews is vibrant, friendly and inclusive of everyone regardless of circumstances. Finally, the whole place is bright, clean and positive.

Ashley Mews is so welcoming and nice from the moment you walk through the doors. The staff, from senior management to the cleaners, are so pleasant and welcoming, and try to make sure all the residents and visitors are cared for and made to feel as comfortable as humanly possible. It is the best place anybody could ask for to look after their loved ones.

I've found that the time I spend in Archer's Nursing Home while visiting my brother is such a happy place to be in. The staff are wonderful, caring and understanding. They are involved in and join in everything with the residents. It's such a blessing to see. Archer Court has a warm, friendly environment. The staff and management have a kind and welcoming attitude. Residents are encouraged to join in and interact on themed days, which my husband seems to enjoy. My husband has his own room where he can retire to if he wants privacy. Rom eats well and has a good and varied diet. Ron sometimes looks a little disheveled but this is due to his dementia and refusing to shower, etc., not due to lack of care. Overall Archers Court is a warm, caring environment, and I am happy that Ron is being well looked after, physically and emotionally.
