Visited my aunt who has been in Middleshaw for nearly 2 weeks following time in hospital. The place is stunning, clean, and the staff are very friendly. My aunt's bedroom was beautiful, and she herself is extremely happy with the care received. She highly rates the staff and food. The staff now arranged
a light lunch for us as we travelled 1.5 hours, food was delicious. Highly recommended, whether for short - or long - term care.
Reply from Charlotte Pardon, General Manager at Middleshaw HillsThank you so much for your wonderful review.

Were absolutely delighted to hear that your aunt is so happy with the care shes receiving at Middleshaw. It means a great deal to us to know that both she and your family feel comfortable, supported, and well looked after during her stay.

Our team works hard to create a warm, welcoming environment, and your kind words about the staff, the food, and the little touches like arranging lunch after your long journey truly mean a lot. Well be sure to share your feedback with the whole team.

Thank you again for your recommendation its greatly appreciated. If theres ever anything further we can do for your aunt or your family, please dont hesitate to let us know.

My mother came to the home for respite following a period of cognitive decline and a poor experience with a live-in carer.
We have been, in all respects, delighted with the service we have received, from the standard of the rooms to the excellent food, which has helped her regain her physical strength.
Above all, we have been absolutely delighted with, and eternally grateful for, the wonderful care she has received without exception, from the caring, sympathetic and appropriate staff. Their genuine concern and environment have helped make my mother seem happy for the first time in quite a while.
Reply from Charlotte Pardon, General Manager at Middleshaw HillsThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review.

Were truly delighted to hear that your mothers respite stay has been such a positive experience, especially after what sounds like a very difficult period for her and for your family. Knowing that she has regained physical strength, enjoyed her surroundings and meals, and most importantly felt happy and well cared for, means the world to us.

Your kind words about our team their compassion, sensitivity and genuine concern will be shared with them all. Providing thoughtful, person-centred care in a warm and supportive environment is at the heart of everything we do, and its incredibly rewarding to know that this has made a real difference to your mother.

Thank you again for your trust and your gratitude. It has been a privilege to care for her.

Having experienced alternative care providers prior to Middleshaw Hills what stands out most is that our relative is listened to. She has been treated with dignity, patience and kindness from the minute she first looked around and we have seen a huge improvement in her physical, emotional and mental
health in the six months he has lived at Middleshaw Hills. The level of care at MSH is exceptional and every member of staff we've met there exudes positivity and genuine respect and concern for our relative. As well as seeing the difference this has made to her it has made a huge difference to us, which we are only just realising, and which we are so grateful for.
Reply from Charlotte Pardon, General Manager at Middleshaw HillsThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and generous review. It truly means a great deal to all of us at Middleshaw Hills.
We are especially grateful for your recognition of the dignity, patience, and kindness shown to your relative, as listening and person-centred care are at the heart of everything we do. Hearing about the positive impact on her physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing over the past six months is incredibly rewarding for our team.
We also appreciate you acknowledging the difference this has made to you and your family. Supporting not only our residents but also their loved ones is something we value deeply, and its wonderful to know this has brought you reassurance and peace of mind.
Thank you again for your trust and kind words they will be shared with the entire team.

A beautiful home in picturesque surroundings, Middleshaw Hills is providing excellent care for my mother. Staff from every department are friendly, caring and know the residents. If I have any concerns or queries, staff are always available to help. Appetising menus and a full activity programme make
every day different. The family 'feel' at Middleshaw confirms that we made the correct choice for Mum's ongoing care.

The ambience of the home is first class, the staff are caring excellent and knowledgeable. The food is great but could do with some variation at lunchtime. I have been a resident since the home opened and have waited until now before writing my review to see whether the standard is maintained which
it is despite some small staffing problems which ALL care homes are suffering. Despite this my husband has now moved in and is very happy with the quality of care. The management listen to any concerns and does react accordingly to them. Keep up the standard!!!
Reply from Charlotte Pardon, General Manager at Middleshaw HillsThank you very much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We are delighted to hear that you continue to enjoy the ambience of the home and that our staffs care, knowledge, and dedication have made a positive difference to you.

We truly appreciate your feedback regarding lunchtime menu variety and will be sure to share this with our catering team as we are always looking for ways to improve. It is especially rewarding to know that despite the challenges faced across the sector, you feel the high standards of care have been maintained.

We are so pleased that your husband has settled in well and is happy with the quality of care he is receiving. Thank you again for your kind words and continued trust in our team your support means a great deal to us.

My sister has Alzheimer's disease. She has always lived independently, but her condition has advanced to a situation where she is no longer safe alone. The staff at Middleshaw have managed the delicate balance between acknowledging her independence with giving her support. Their good humour and kindness
make a big difference. They treat the residents with respect.

Both my parents have gone to Middleshaw Hills and I just cannot fault it. We had got to crisis point and the staff there really 'pulled out the stops' to get everything sorted, so my parents could get in there quickly. The service from day 1 has been exceptional, super friendly staff throughout the
home, who introduce themselves and want to help. The care and compassion provided by the care staff is wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. There is a weekly programme of events and residents can join in with anything they wish, helped by the staff if required. The whole home is spotless throughout and the bedrooms/bathrooms are lovely, with fabulous views (many rooms can see Pendle Hill). A huge thank you to everyone involved.

My husband and I had visited the Middleshaw Hills on two occasions prior to my husband being accepted for short term care. We were very impressed by both the accommodation and staff. Not thinking at the time we would need their support to soon after the viewing everything happened so suddenly I was

My mother went for 2 weeks respite care and I have to say, she was very nervous, as this was her first time away from myself and family. I spoke to mum every day whilst I was on holidat and she was more than happy with the facilities and staff and spoke very highly of everyone involved in her care.
Other family members visited mum and couldn't believe how beautiful it was. They were made very welcome as I was, I would definitely recommend Middleshaw Hills to any of their potential clients, and I'm so relieved and grateful to everyone who cared for her.

Lovely new building. Ample parking with EV charging. Impressive spacious airy layout, Nothing too much trouble for attentive, caring staff. Private spaces and rooms for family get-togethers. Cinema and other activity rooms. Lots of arranged activities - even if my 101 year old mother doesn't
appreciate them all. Ground floor garden rooms have own access to garden courtyard. All rooms have queen-size beds, and my mother's has an ensuite wet room - not sure if they all have that but they probably do - Downloadable brochure.
