My Dad moved to Bradbury in July 2024. I was appreciative that Management and Staff members worked with me to ensure he could remain in the area he had lived in for so many years and also be close to my Mum while she was alive. Bradbury house is light and clean and rooms are of a very good standard.
There are 2 lovely outside areas where residents can sit and enjoy the gardens.Food is of a good standard and Dad eats and drinks well.
The Management and staff are cheerful and caring and are responsive to any questions or requests I have. At his last birthday they decorated the room I had booked for family - without being asked to - this was much appreciated by us all. I appreciate the many demands on Management and Staff members who maintain professional and non-judgemental at all times. Activity schedule is varied and includes special activities around seasons/holidays/national days.
Reception staff are welcoming and excellent ambassadors for Bradbury House.
Reply from Jane Holden, Home Admission Manager at Bradbury House Nursing HomeDear Debbie,
Thank you so much for your very kind and thoughtful feedback. We are delighted to hear that your Dad has settled well at Bradbury House and that both he and your family have felt supported since his move in July 2024.
Your lovely comments in regards to our staff, facilities, activities, and hospitality are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the whole team. We are especially pleased that your Dad's birthday celebration made the day extra special for you and your family.
Thank you again for recognising the hard work and dedication of our staff. Your feedback means a great deal to us all.

The decision to move my dear darling husband from our home, where he had wished to die, was the most difficult one of my life. But when I met the staff & saw the room with a beautiful view, I felt hopeful that this was the right thing to do. I was so thankful that they could take on all the nursing
and caring responsibilities, enabling me to spend our last few weeks as husband & wife again. The respect and dignity, tender love & care all the staff, from nurses, carers to cleaners and laundry staff showed both to my husband, and me was truly exceptional. At Halden Heights, we were able to create positive final memories and to share our precious love until his final breath. I will be forever grateful to these beautiful people. Many, many thanks and all my love.
Reply from Eleanor Healthcare Group, Halden Heights Team at Halden Heights Nursing HomeThank you so much for sharing such a deeply personal and moving reflection. We can only imagine how difficult that decision must have been, and we're truly honoured that we were able to support you both during such an important and precious time. Knowing that you were able to focus on being husband and wife, creating meaningful memories together, is something that touches us deeply. Thank you for placing your trust in us, and for allowing us to be part of such a special chapter in your lives.

I find Bradbury house to be very friendly and my husband is happy to be there. He likes the familiarity of the staff and that seems to have been more stable of the past few months. I have occasionally had to query some of his medical issues. Prescriptions being delayed. I wish the irritation he has
with his skin had been prioritised sooner. This is probably more to do with the GP.
Reply from Jane Holden, Home Admission Manager at Bradbury House Nursing HomeDear Kathryn,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We are delighted to hear that you find Bradbury House a friendly environment and, that your husband is happy with his care. It is pleasing to know that he values the familiarity of our staff, and we are glad that the recent stability within the team has been reassuring for you both.
We also appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention regarding the medical matters you have had to follow up. Please be assured that we take this feedback seriously and will review our processes to ensure we are supporting residents and families effectively.

My husband has been in the home 5 years in July, he's been well looked after.
It's lovely that all residents have there own on suite bathroom, with a shower., and with the privacy that's important to people that cannot support them selves.
The rooms are a good size with everything they need in them
The facilities and activities are good.

Our whole experience of Halden Heights was excellent.
We were particularly impressed with the kindness, care and diligence of the staff. We would not hesitate to recommend.
We were always offered hospitality when visiting dad - cups of tea - meals - and the staff always ensured we, as visitors, were
made comfortable and could sit.
It was noticeable when passing through other areas of Halden Heights that the above attributes were not confined to Dad's floor. And as for the gardens - beautiful.
Overall assessment - excellent!

Staff do an excellent job and offer support to family of resident as well as the residents themselves. Mum feels settled and I know she is well looked after. Although with all dementia patients you are aware there is going to be a decline in their health but staff and management always listen to your
concerns and try their best to implement any requests relating to your relatives care. Sometimes staffing levels do seem to be at a minimum but everyone does their best to attend to residents needs

I would like to say how impressed I am with the new manager, Rachel and how well she is managing this home. She has taken my mother's needs very seriously and have seen a huge improvement in my mother, who I thought would never be like this again. She takes all my concerns seriously and addresses problems

Finally, I feel I am being listened to. Also, I would like to thank Kerry, who is a brilliant support to me and my family, I think she is underappreciated for her constant help and support.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum came to Lavenders on a 2 week respite to see if she wanted to be in a care home in the first place. She was very worried and so were we. We didn't need to worry, because from the first week we could see a change in mum, she was very happy again after being on her own for nearly 3 years at home.
She was constantly saying what a nice place Lavenders was and how caring all the staff were to her. She made her mind up to stay full time very quickly and her anxiety and worrying about falling at home seemed to go away. Mum enjoys all the things that the staff have planned during the day and she likes to join in. All of the staff are really friendly to her family and always say hello when we turn up. All in all we couldn't have found a nicer place for her to live safely and in the knowledge we know she is being looked after very well.
Reply from Eleanor Healthcare Group, Lavender's Team at LavendersThank you so much for sharing this.
