My grandmother has been living at Cotsworld Rise a while now, and we couldn't be happier. The staff are so caring and always take time to chat with her. She especially loves the activities - bingo night is her favorite!
The home is clean, welcoming, and feels like a real community. Her room is cozy
and a great size, and we always feel reassured knowing she's safe and well looked after. We're so grateful for the kindness and attention the Gemma, Tim and the team show her every day.
I would highly reccomend Cotsworld rise for the quality of care and the building is beautiful.

My mother-in-law had a 2 week respite stay after her care home closed suddenly.
Cotswolds Rise supported the transfer of residents and professionals to this new home with grace and compassion.
Mother-in-law enjoyed her stay and felt she was a favorite with staff before moving back in county.
Thank
you for bantering with her and making her feel special.

My nans time at Ashley Grange was short but sweet, but our overall experience was excellent.
They treated my Nan with dignity, respect and made continuous effort with her until her passing.
Knowing Nan was in a place where the care staff clearly care about their residents and their families was a
great comfort to us and we will always be grateful.
I would highly recommend Ashley Grange. Thank-you for making my Nans last few weeks comfortable and dignified.

Overall Experience 2.0 out of 5
This care home is lovely for mobile, articulate residents. There are plenty of activities, trips, entertainment, good food, and friendly staff.
However, it's not suitable for those needing higher levels of care. My grandmother, who had mobility and communication difficulties, suffered multiple falls
due to poor lifting techniques. Staff didn't help her eat, leaving her malnourished, dehydrated, and with untreated bed sores. Despite being continent, she was wrongly put in nappies. Communication tools we provided were ignored, and staff relied on her first response, which was often incorrect. Since moving to a better care home, she's regained weight, can swallow again, no longer wears nappies, and her communication has improved. This home is not equipped for vulnerable residents needing consistent, skilled support.
Reply from Jenni Laffoley, Brand Marketing Manager at Cotswolds Rise Care Home

Thank you for your feedback. While we're unable to discuss individual care details in a public forum, we'd like to clarify that no concerns of this nature were brought to our team prior to your grandmother's departure. It was our understanding that the decision to move her had already been made before those issues were shared. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for all residents, including those with complex needs. Our team is trained in safe mobility and lifting practices, and care is taken to support residents with eating, hydration, and communication in line with individual care plans. In this case, continence care followed an assessment by an independent healthcare professional, with care provided according to their guidance. We appreciated the opportunity to meet and discuss your concerns, and wish that conversation had happened earlier. We're glad to hear your grandmother is now in a setting that suits her, and we sincerely wish her all the best.

by all the staff. I would recommend Ashley Grange to anyone and I thank you for everything. I forgot to mention the lovely reception staff and the kitchen staff who make such lovely food.

My dad currently attends Cotswold Rise Care Home as a day care visitor, twice a week and has also had a respite stay for three weeks. The atmosphere, care and attention he has received from all the staff has been excellent. From the moment he walks through the front door he is welcomed and taken great
care of. He thoroughly enjoys all of the activities and the food. During his respite stay his room was very comfortable and clean. All the staff treat the residents/day visitors as individuals, the daily routines are relaxed to allow flexibility with how individuals are feeling each day.
Although as a family we never wanted to be in the position for dad to have to go into a care home, we are very pleased we chose the Cotswold Rise Care Home to support him. I would highly recommend the Cotswold Rise Care Home and the team who work there.

My husband enjoyed another two-week break at Cotswolds Rise Care Home in October/November. It was so nice when we first arrived as several members of the team welcomed him back and remembered his name. He was able to take part in many activities during his stay. I would just like to express my thoughts on the care my mother received at Ashley Grange, during her recent respite care whilst my father was in hospital. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and all the staff that l had contact with over my mum's seven-week stay were lovely. They were all very professional,
caring and attentive. The most important thing was that Mum who has Dementia seemed happy and stimulated thanks to the regular activities provided by the staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of visiting Mum and talking to her newfound friends who also seemed very happy at Ashley Grange.

nice to see how well my Grandad is being cared for especially given how complex his health needs are. The home has been decorated and maintained so well. Thank you to all the amazing staff.

My grandad has been in the care home now for over a year after living at home with my parents. It's so nice that the family no longer need to worry about him on a daily basis as we know he is being well looked after by the wonderful team working everyday.
The staff are very engaging and make me feel
welcome. My grandad's first language is not English but this doesn't stop the staff from talking and interacting with him throughout the day, this is very nice to see as it would be easier for them to not bother but they go the extra mile to make him feel safe and comfortable.
Every time I go there, the staff know exactly where my grandad is and they provide me with a full update on his past 24 hours, which reassures me that he is constantly being cared and looked after.
I cannot speak highly enough of the staff working at the care home, however I am aware I am getting to my 1000 limit. I just want to say a huge thank you from my family for looking after my grandad.
