Review of Island Court Care Home from Joseph D (Son of Resident) published on 13 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Mum went into Island Court on 12 June 2026. She was 101 years old and very frail. While she was not suffering from any illness or dementia, she could hardly see due to macular degeneration, could not hear much and was not mobile. However, in Island Court she was happy and she was well looked after by carers, nurses and managing staff. We were allowed to visit at any time. We could not have wished for more.
Sadly, mum passed away in July due to frailty in old age. Staff from Island Court were with her. We would like to thank them all for their kindness, help and support during mum's final days

We have one recommendation. Because mum was not ill when she entered Island Court she was not see by the visiting doctor so there was no one able to sign the paperwork after her death for the Medical Examiner. This resulted in the Coroner having to authorise the Death Certificate resulting in delay. In our view, all new entrants should be seen by a doctor at the first available opportunity.

My mother in law had a recent trip to hospital as not well (999) throughout the care she received from all staff was exceptional. Since her discharge her care (as always) has been fantastic. As a family we couldn't recommend Greenleigh highly enough. We never worry about our mom we know she always has exceptional care. Infact the last 4 yrs (including my late father in law) as been wonderful all staff are true angels.

From the moment my Nan arrived here at Victoria Lodge, the staff have been extremely helpful towards me when arranging her arrangements and reassured me throughout on everything as it was a worrying and unfamiliar time for me and my Nan especially. But Leanne, Shirley, Ellie, Mia and the staff who I have met have been nothing but kind, compassionate and patient with me (and all my questions) and most importantly my Nan who has settled well and appears happy. They have helped take a huge weight off and given me peace of mind that she is in good hands here. Quote from Nan herself: I think this place is very good, I'm quite pleased with it. Thank you again so much

Review of Delves Court from M W (Daughter of Resident) published on 8 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
During my father's two year stay at Delves he was treated with the utmost Dignity and respect. We made the decision for Dad to go to Delves as when we visited, it immediately felt like home and we knew he would be happy there. With the encouragement of the team, he settled in immediately.
The team at Delves are outstanding and go above and beyond, as a matter of routine. Dad always told us he was happy and well looked after and he would absolutely have told us if he wasn't. The team build a relationship with him a got know his family.
It was easy for us to leave Dad after a visit. Trusting and knowing he was happy and cared for gave us the peace of mind we needed.
Concerns were dealt with immediately and we were kept informed of any changes relating to his health.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Delves to anyone seeking nursing care for their loved ones, no matter their need.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for how you cared for my Nan. From the second she came into your care we knew it was the right place for her. We were hesitant about her going into a care home but you have restored our faith in care homes, when it was noticed my Nan wasn't well it was dealt with quickly and she had only been there less than 24 hours but staff knew she wasn't right this swift action gave us an extra few weeks with her . Every single person greeted you with a smile the home was always clean. During my Nans final few days everyone's kindness made it easier for us as a family. All of the staff are amazing but especially the staff on floor 3. Thank you all so much for your kindness we'll never forget it.

My mother settled very quickly into Greenleigh, she is bed bound and I was worried about her care and her general mental health. Everyone we have come into contact with at Greenleigh have done everything possible to make her feel safe and included. I can't thank everyone enough for making this move easy for mom and for me.

My mother has been a resident at Aldergrove for almost two years. The home is well run, and all staff are welcoming. We are very pleased with the care provided. Last week, my mom celebrated her 90th birthday. The home made her day so special, presenting her with a cake and flowers. When her family met, the home ensured that the bar was decorated, and we received help on the day to make a truly memorable occasion. Thank you to the whole team.

Overall Experience
My mother resided at Delves Care Home for 19 months and I can say with upmost honesty, that she was her happiest that she had been in her later years.
It was with a heavy heart that my mom had to go into a carehome but she would have stated herself she was safe and looked after 24/7.
The staff were all amazing but the night staff are the real stars and they comforted and cared for my mother, with all her night complex needs.
The home manger at the time Elaine was outstanding and enabled me to love my mother as a daughter again and stepped me away from being her carer. I'm extremely grateful to have got my mother/daughter relationship back in her final years.
The home became a new family and the memories I have I will cherish forever. Singers, fete's, day trips out, Christmas family meal etc.
Thank you Delves care staff "To the world you may be one person; but to one person you

may be the world " x

Review of Greenleigh Care Home from Lynn L (Daughter of Resident) published on 2 June 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mum was transfered to Greenleigh care home from hospital, following a fall resulting in a broken ankle. My first impressions were good, the environment was clean, well maintained, the staff were friendly and more to the point, the residents appeared to be happy and settled. Mum was made welcome right from the start, the staff did everything to support her needs whilst maintaining her independence as much as possible.
She was with them for a number of weeks and over that time built a good relationship with the staff and residents. Dad was able to spend as much time with her as he wanted, he was made to feel welcome and stayed most days to eat lunch with her.

The management structure played a big part of the experience, they were approachable and understanding whilst being professional and hands on. Nothing was too much trouble and I would like to say thank you for making mum's stay such a pleasant one and for making us all feel so welcome.

My mom entered Island Court for two weeks' respite in March 2026 when my dad was taken into the hospital. After this, she has remained a permanent resident. She has settled well and appears content. When my dad needed step-down care from the hospital, Island Court worked hard to accommodate this and relieve pressure on us as a family, having both parents in one place. All the staff are lovely.

My Father was placed at Delves Care home following an end of life diagnosis. He spent 6 months at the home before he sadly passed on 7th May.
Whilst it was a difficult decision to place him in a care home, we chose Delves Court following several recommendations and it was definitely the right choice.
Dad was looked after very well in a dignified and respectful manner. all the staff from Management, Nursing, Catering and Cleaning have been amazing.
My mum often had to visit on her own as we live out of town and she has was also very well looked after during visits.
We were kept informed on dads progress and during his final weeks updated regularly on all intervention and what the team were doing to make him comfortable.

Delves Court became dads second home and I and my family cannot thank all the staff enough for the amazing work they do.
