My main problem with the home. Not enough staff are visiting my wife on a daily basis. I sit and observe the situation. A big problem I have witnessed is patients falling out of their chairs, and I have personally had to raise the alarm for carers. Staff should put away clothes properly. Some just throw
into the wardrobe. (As I check every day). There are many things that can be improved, and this is down to management.

We have found Victoria Lodge Care Home to be warm, friendly, clean and welcoming. The managers and staff are very efficient, understanding & quick to ammend any issues. Despite this being a difficult change for our sister they have done everything within their power to ensure her care needs both physically
& mentally are met. The building is always very clean, the staff are always focused on residents Care, the building is quite modern, nice outside spaces, a good sized car park, the decor inside the home is more like a boutique hotel (which is fantastic for both residents & visitors) the laundry service is very efficient and we have notice the residents are regularly offered drinks food snacks ect.
Reply from lilly mcneill, Marketing Apprentice at Victoria Lodge Care HomeThank you so much for your wonderful feedback. We are delighted to hear that your sister has settled in so well and that you are happy with the care, our facilities, and our team. It is reassuring to know that we've made this transition easier for your family. We will be sure to share your kind words with the team at Victoria Lodge.

My mom currently resides at Aldergrove Manor, I could not ask for better care. They have made her feel welcome from the moment she arrived as well as myself, having never had to deal with care homes before we were both very nervous. Our nerves were put at ease immediately by the Home Manager and Unit
Manager, they were friendly, kind and informative. This is then felt throughout the home, the staff are very friendly and caring, they show compassion and genuine care. The home is clean, well decorated and has a lot of space, there are a lot of rooms available for when more family visit as well as some quieter areas for more secluded visits. The home goes above and beyond to provide that extra bit of care, thank you for everything you do.
Reply from Jenni Laffoley, Head of Marketing at Aldergrove Manor Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words. We're delighted that your mom feels so welcome at Aldergrove Manor and that both of you felt supported from the very beginning. It's wonderful to hear that our team's care, compassion, and attention to detail have made a positive difference. Creating a warm, comfortable, and well-equipped environment for residents and their families is very important to us, and your feedback truly means a lot.

My father has been a resident for a couple of years. We are all really satisfied with the level of care that he receives. All staff are very caring and considerate, and they all show respect and treat my father very well. One of the most significant features of the home is the visibility and accessibility
of the senior staff team. The nursing and administrative team are highly approachable and friendly. The manager is always on hand and her door always open. Myself and the family would have no hesitation in recommending the home to others.

My mother in law, who is now 95 years old, moved into Greenleigh in January 2026 for a period of respite care following a hospital stay. She settled in immediately as all the staff are so caring and helpful and has now decided she would like to stay there on a permanent basis. She has made friends and
particularly enjoys the lovely meals. All the family are made very welcome when we visit and we are all pleased that she is being so well looked after.

From the moment we walked into Delves Court last summer, we felt that this was a future home for Mom. The management were extremely warm, caring and welcoming, and the room available had a view over a magnificent garden. Upon moving in we found that all the staff were so helpful and made Mom as comfortable
as she could be after leaving her home of nearly 50 years. As with all organisations, a few really bright stars shone out but all staff and management go about their days with a smile on their faces and are a credit to any caring organisation. Keep up the excellent standard.

Where can I start? My mother was moved from hospital to island court for paliative care in the last few days of her life. 17/5/25 -22/5/25.
The home was very clean and smelt clean. The room for my mother was lovely and had its own ensuit.
The care given to my mother was exceptional and even
the care and friendliness to my father and myself was outstanding. The staff work hard and the care was well above standards.
After my mum had passed away the staff were so lovely to us and even gave me a hug something you definately need after going through a trauma.
Everyone of the people needs to be reminded of how brilliant they are. Very many thanks for making my mothers last few days so comfortable and helping us through it especially the care given to my dad too who isn't a well man.
Thank you so so much.

Mum was placed in Greenleigh straight from hospital after she had another fall. We realised as a family she was no longer able to live at home with dad and interim carers and needed 24 hour care. This was a really hard decision for all of us especially Mum. The staff at Greenleigh were really welcoming
from the start. They welcomed us to have lunch with mum when we visited but also made dad feel relaxed when he visited. She was only at the home for just over a month and we have now moved her to one closer to dad and other family members. Our thanks to the team and the care they provided. The staff were always warm and cheerful and are passionate about the care they provide. Thank you.

Thank you does not cover the gratitude we feel towards the staff. From day one they have been outstanding in the care, friendly and professional manner they conduct their selves. Nothing was too much trouble and they all went above and beyond to ensure the holistic care was delivered respectfully. The
staff were able to apply the care required at a level and pace that was needed by the resident for that particular day. They constantly assessed requirements and constantly kept us updated. They offered different skills and talents to make residents and visitors feel included, safe and entertained. Especially noticed by people whose relatives were being bed nursed. Staff constantly checked on relatives too. Quality of food was amazing. Every single member of staff had a special quality that enabled us to get through such a difficult time. We could become relatives again knowing our relative was getting quality care, which enabled us to feel secure we had made the right choice.
