My wife recently stayed for three nights for respite care, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, with its own ensuite, and the lounges were lovely and welcoming.

What really stood out was how helpful, friendly and responsive all the staff were. From our very first enquiry right through to the end of her stay, everyone was so approachable and supportive, which made the whole process much easier and gave us real peace of mind.

We're very grateful for the care and kindness shown to my wife and would have no hesitation in using their respite care services again. It's reassuring to know we have somewhere we feel confident and comfortable returning to. Thank you to the whole team!

My Uncle was taken in by West Cliff Hall shortly after his wife passed away in December 2024 as he was unable to care for himself due to his Parkinsons and Dementia. He was instantly made to feel welcome and looked after with the highest quality care. Since arriving the staff all engage with him and involve him in appropriate activities and he has become quite a well known character within the home. He speaks very highly of the staff, food and the facilities, loves his room and appears very settled. It is a great comfort to his family to know that he is being so well looked after by the West Cliff Team.

My brothers and I are very pleased with the way mum is looked after. She's mostly clean. when we visit and now shes joining in some of the games it's really nice to see photoes of her.

The help and attention that has been given to my wife since she has been a resident in Harlow House has been excellent. The friendliness and helpfulness show by the staff to residents and visitors seems genuine and nothing seems too much trouble. I'm glad that we chose Harlow Hall.

We are confident that she is being well cared for and we're so pleased they had a room available for Mum when she needed it.

Although I did not personally try the food, Mum generally enjoyed most of the meals provided. Overall, our experience of Harlow Hall was extremely positive. I am very grateful for the care and support Mum received.

My husband has been at Moorhill Care Home for just over a month, and so far I have been very happy with his experience. The carers are kind, caring and attentive, and I really appreciate the way they check on him and ask if he needs anything, such as a drink or any other help. Whenever he presses the call button, someone responds promptly, which gives me peace of mind. The home is new, clean, modern and very pleasant. I would like to give a big thumbs up to all the carers for their hard work, care and attention. Overall, I am very happy with our experience so far.

My mum suffers from Alzheimer's, has been a resident at Belford House for just over one year and I can honestly say I couldn't have wished for a better place for her to be. Mum settled in very quickly and from day one she has been well cared for. Her dementia is well managed, we feel she has improved physically and mentally due to the social interaction and stimulation of the many activities in which she participates. Mum's appetite varies but the quality of food seems good. A very reasonably priced pre-booked lunch is frequently enjoyed by my 95-year old father when he visits, which again is great for both of them to be able to share a meal together. I live locally and can visit at any time, the staff are friendly and welcoming, and both the manager and deputy manager are available at most times for a chat to discuss any issues or concerns. In my view, Belford House would be very hard to beat!

Loads of activities which are well run

*Moorhill Care home was the best choice I made for my wife's seven week respite care. The home is very modern with excellent facilities, spacious nicely furnished decorated rooms , wide corridors and very good food. Spacious land scaped gardens were delight to sit and admire the peace of outdoor atmosphere. The management of Smitha and Elliot made us feel very welcome and were always on hand if we needed them. The caring staff were kind, friendly ,attentive and made my wife's stay a truly memorable experience in her recovery. In a way, she was sad to be leaving Moorhill ! We wholeheartedly would recommend Moorhill to any one who is looking for a care home.

Mums room is light and airy but she doesn't spend a lot of time there as they have lots of activities going on downstairs. Being able to visit anytime means you can pop whenever it's convenient and if you go in the afternoon there is homemade cake and a cup of tea to be sampled

Mum has been living at Belford for the past 9 months. She is well cared for and is physically very well. She enjoys the activities and having company. Her room is lovely and spacious. The home environment is bright and clean and the carers are lovely friendly and attentive. The structure to her day has really helped her to settle.

I feel the staff are very friendly update me often about my mother how she's getting on always listen to any concerns act appropriately and promptly when needed nothing is to much I feel they work with me as a team my mother is much happier and more settled since being at westcliff lots of activities daily 4 star home especially for communication with us thank you for all you do!

I have lived hear nearly 1 year and I have found the care home to be very good in all ways.

Mum has settled in really well and staff are always lovely. Mum seems to be very happy at Belford House it's good to know that she is safe and well cared for. The staff have been great at helping us out with paperwork we've needed them to fill in.

Bedroom was bright and spacious and Dad found the environment restful and peaceful.

This was the first time we'd considered respite care for my husband and it was very important he was going to feel safe, understand the timing of life in the home, e.g. meal times, the venue and how accessible the dining room was etc. everyone was so friendly and to reassure my husband they recreated the layout of his bedroom so overnight he felt reassured when getting up for the toilet. The staff enabled him to rise when he woke (within reason) and if hungry food was always available. Overall being in a strange place without family is a challenge but he seemed to adjust to the environment and enjoyed communicating with others a meal times. Yes scary at first but something we would consider in the future.

My brother-in-law has been resident for over a year during which time his cognitive ability has declined + he has needed more assistance generally. His needs are met with efficient compassion. He is happy, settled & well-cared-for.

My father stayed for a week of respite care while my brother (who lives with him) was on holiday. It was very nice to be able to leave him in such pleasant surroundings. Everything was fine and it is good to know that we may be able to use Hartford Court again in the future, when my brother goes away.
