Every visit has been a pleasant one - staff ALWAYS cheerful, polite, respectful and friendly, providing a compassionate, caring environment for our vulnerable loved one. The level of attention is great and response to the buzzer has always been quick with requests met as soon as is possible. We have
always received a warm welcoming response from all members of staff, who have treated our relative with dignity and respect in a safe and secure environment. We have been very grateful for the care and attention our loved on has received.

Alton Place has truly been a wonderful choice for my Dad, and I'm so glad we decided to bring him here. He absolutely loves the daily activities, which keep him engaged, active, and happy. The entertainers who visit are a real highlight.

What really sets Alton Place apart, though, is the staff. Every

single person is so caring, kind, and attentive, and it gives me real peace of mind knowing my Dad is surrounded by people who genuinely care about his well-being. It feels warm, welcoming, and supportive-more like a community than a facility. I couldn't be happier with our experience at Alton Place, and neither could it Dad.

Since our very first visit to Alton Place we knew mum would be happy here. The staff are amazing, they are always smiling and go above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy. Prior to moving to Alton Place mum wasn't able to go out very much but since moving she has been out on numerous outings and
takes part in a variety of activities, many of which are open to families and friends too. The care home has different areas that mum can enjoy such as the cafe and cinema room.
If you are looking for a care home for a loved one, I could not recommend Alton Place enough.

My mum stayed at Harlow Hall from September until her passing in November 2025, and I am truly grateful for the care she received during that time. The home itself is modern, clean, and clearly very well maintained, which gave our family a lot of peace of mind.

Every member of the team was friendly

and compassionate. They took wonderful care of my mum, treating her with dignity and kindness. In her final days, they also looked after me with the same warmth and understanding, making an incredibly difficult time a little easier to bear.

I cannot thank the team at Harlow Hall enough for their support and dedication. I would recommend this care home to anyone looking for a safe and supportive environment for their loved one.

Further to my previous review this week one of my old couple passed away and left his wife all alone after more than 60 years of marriage. The staff have been so good to her that you would not realise that he is gone.
Further since they were in adjoining rooms she asked to be moved as she kept expecting
her husband to come through the adjoining door. The staff moved her within one hour after my request on her behalf.
I cannot be there by her side all the time and fortunately the amazing staff have in effect "covered" for me.

We had to make the difficult decision as a family to admit our mum needed to go into a home. I discovered Moorhill Care Home, when driving by. I emailed not expecting much but Rob replied and I went and visited the home the next day. Rob was so warm and friendly and was so helpful and gave me in depth
tour of the home.I could see our mum there but we needed our mum to visit and feel she could live there. Well in October, she did exactly that. She has gone from being withdrawn, lonely and isolated to someone who is flourishing. That is all down to the wonderful care, from everyone at Moorhill. Every member of the team do their bit to make Moorhill feel like a wonderful place to be. Our mum is treated with dignity and respect at all times. The facilities, cleanliness, food and drink, activities are all excellent. The safety and security is excellent and we know are mum is safe. The rooms are clean and mum has been able to add her own touches to it,which makes her feel safe and secure.
Reply from Lindsay Mahoney, Hospitality & Wellbeing Manager at MoorhillThank you for taking the time to write this review. We understand how difficult a decision it is to move a loved one into a care home and maybe even more difficult to choose the right one so it is great to know how happy your mum is at Moorhill and how she is thriving. We are so pleased you are happy with the home and the facilities along with food and the activities programme on offer. We are glad you, as a family, can rest assured knowing you made the right decision and your mum is being well cared for and supported. We will pass on your kind words to the team at Moorhill.

What an amazing location and team of people. All staff are very polite, caring, supportive and have a real interest in residents here.
My dad had a fall in August, following which he was unsafe to return home and live independently, we hummed and aahed several times, visited at odd moments and never
felt under pressure. Dad's room is bright and airy with lovely views over to Southampton docks, there's always something for him to watch.
Food is great, the activities on offer are varied, though to be fair dad's not tried many, but he gets encouraged to try. The home provides lots of regular information and it's comforting to see a slimmed down version of the care notes online, which gives us reassurance of how he is.
GP and other care service staff visit regularly, hair, nails, OT, eyes, hearing very comprehensive.
Dad's very happy and content there. Thank you.

I had been looking for a Care Home for my sister-in-law for several months when I viewed Moorhill Care Home. After meeting with the Manager and being given a guided tour of the Home I was in no doubt that this was exactly what I was looking for, a newly built home, beautifully furnished with all the

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife was sent to Beech Tree for respite care after breaking bones in her foot. She was a little apprehensive at first but the staff made her (and me) extremely welcome. ALL the staff, including the management, carers, cleaners, maintenance, chefs and others, are amazingly friendly, patient, fun,
helpful and carried out their duties with a smile on their face. Nothing was too much trouble and each day they helped her to walk both along the level and up and down the stairs. The home itself is very secure, bright and clean. The only slight negative was the fact that my wife is vegetarian and the daily menus did not really cater for this diet resulting in me bringing food in from outside. This was no big deal and did not detract from the wonderful care she received and we both would highly recommend the home to anyone.

After visiting many homes, Moorhill truly stands out and I cannot recommend highly enough. You often hear of residents declining after moving into care - my mum has done the opposite and is thriving!

The care is exceptional, with staff encouraging independence and going above and beyond. Residents

have full access to the beautiful garden, unlike other homes where outdoor spaces are often locked away. Meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. Lauren, the activities coordinator, is fantastic at keeping residents engaged - I love seeing the photos online.

Smitha, Genebel and Rob, the management team, are incredibly involved and know every resident personally. They've even trained staff on insulin to manage my mum's diabetes safely. The home is immaculate, residents are well dressed and active, and the atmosphere is positive - staff genuinely enjoy working there.

Moorhill is on another level. If you want compassionate, professional care, this is the place to choose

My grandad has been in this home for a few months now and has settled in really well. Before coming here my grandad would sit in his armchair not engaging in much but since being at Moorhill he is attending all activities and interacting with other residents. He is always complimenting the food and

Moorhill we're kind hearted from the very first phone call from Rob. We felt the care immediately. The house call from Smitha was equally as kind. When we arrived all the dept mangers came to say hello to my mother in law with in the first 30 minutes. We were all made to feel very welcome, and stayed
as long as we wanted to, which included watching an exercise class taking place that our mum was immediately included in.
The facilities are beautiful. She had a large bedroom with en-suite wet room. The dining rooms are all set up as if its a 5 star hotel, and the lounges are equally as inviting. The food looked delicious and there was lots of it.
There is a cafe in the reception area which is lovely when visiting. And the gardens look beautiful, even in the winter.
All the staff were kind, helpful, smiling and attentive.
It felt very secure and safe.
Mum really enjoyed her stay and will definitely be going back for respite again.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My dad who suffered a stroke back in July is now a permanent resident in Harlow Hall, as he needs 24 hour care which I am unable to provide for him. It is something we both didn't ever want to happen, but there wasn't really any choice. Dad is very limited as to what he can participate in with the activities,
as he is visually impaired and hard of hearing, but the staff have made him so welcome. He seems to have settled in very well, even though he still thinks at times he's coming home. Harlow Hall is very clean and tidy, and the food is good. Snacks are always available. The carers are absolutely brilliant with my dad, and they tell me it's a pleasure looking after him. That is really nice to hear, as I still feel guilty about having to put him in a care home 5 months later.

My sister in law resided at Bethel from June 2024 - October 2025. Her needs were unique. All staff at Bethel cared for her in an extremely appropriate and caring manner it was lovely to see her settle in and appreciated staff involvement as appropriate. Care was of the utmost quality, communication
was excellent. Involvement with family members was friendly, professional, welcoming and appropriate. Care for my sister in law and all family members will stay with us for a very long time. Thank you Bethel.

I was impressed by the warm ambience and welcome of the staff and a feeling of well-being, care - cleanliness light and warmth. Kindness was shown to me and I was aware of a sense of openness available to residents and visitors with good will.
