This home is brilliant. The care that is provided for our relative is fantastic. The carers genuinely care for their residents and the nurses are diligent in their service too. Our relative feels safe and at home here. The activities get our relative moving and vocalising in the form of singing, dancing and gardening. The home facilitated them being able to watch the tennis during Wimbledon and organised fun activities around the World Cup Football. They get him walking in the garden as often as they can. They have learnt our relatives hobbies, likes and dislikes so as to attend to him in a way he feels seen, heard, dignified and validated. Penylan house is truly an exceptional care home.

Furthermore the managers based at the home are very approachable. They genuinely listen to any concerns you may have, which are always dealt with on a prompt and professional manner. We are so incredibly grateful for the outstanding dignified support they give Mum every single day.

I really enjoy coming and helping at The "Queen bee club" and seeing everyone. Such a lovely place to come to with Wonderful staff.

I wish we could have moved her sooner.

My father was a resident of the home for such a short time, but the care he received was exemplary. As a family, we were all treated with respect alongside a warm and friendly approach from our first contact with Christine, reception and all care staff we met. Such a lovely, warm, welcoming and calm caring place. Cannot praise the home, staff and carers enough.

Our mother has had excellent care at Ty Enfys. - She is treated with care, interest and respect. She has been thriving here until her final illness and settled quickly and well. We can't thank the staff more for their kindness and consideration for both our mother and our family when we visit. Thank you so much!

Excellent care home. Caring staff, looking after my mother very well. She is warm, clean, fed and happy. I am informed when there are issues or concerns and the is good liaison with the local GP service.

Great activities planned and opportunities to be included and share in experiences with my loved one.

I could not think of anywhere better than Shire Hall for my aunt. From staff to the warmth of the people who come and go. It is the most welcoming, friendly, caring, beautiful place, and I know my aunt loved it as did we.

New like the home - made to feel welcome - was settled very quickly.

The day my daughter and I visited Shire Hall to discuss my wife moving to the home - we were greeted by the reception with warm welcome (coffee and barabrith). My daughter said to me, "This is the place for mum". With a lovely coffee shop, a super garden and exceptionally good staff, we have been completely satisfied with everything. Long may it last. Mum has only been at Shire Hall a week but I feel reassured that she is in the best place for her care and attention.Everyone is so lovely and on hand to help and mum seems to be settling in nicely.It's like a family hotel.

I really could not be happier with the choice of nursing home for my mother. The staff are very patient and understand her individual needs. When my mother has needed nursing care or needs to see a doctor, they organise it quickly and always ring me with an update. The home itself is always very welcoming to visitors and always clean and smells pleasant. My reluctant mother is even attending the marvellous activities and really enjoys them. Wonderful staff and a wonderful home.
