My mother became a resident of Castle Lodge just over a month ago. Having viewed several other residential properties before Castle Lodge I left each somewhat deflated because none really felt like the home from home environment I was looking for. Within the first few minutes of entering Castle Lodge I knew it was going to be a perfect for my Mum. The residents were all happy as were the staff; many of whom have been there for several years. The home was undergoing a refurbishment in some of the residents rooms and we were really lucky to secure Mum a refurbished room overlooking the garden. Since her arrival she has flourished and benefitting from the socialising she was sadly lacking living at home. She is fully involved in all the activities available and has never once mentioned 'home' as a place she wants to return to. As a family we couldn't' be happier to know that our Mum is safe, happy and well cared for. A big thank you to Team Castle Lodge; you are all amazing!

My Dad and Mum were resident here since 2021/22. My Mum continues as a resident, both had complex needs. Family have found the interest shown by care and nursing staff and management very reassuring. Care staff, including nursing staff, very forward in making my Mum comfortable and negotiating when she is distressed due to dementia. Communication is very good and we always feel welcome when visiting. Keen input to activities to suit all abilities. The home itself is very tidy and clean. Well done all.

My mother has been a resident since August 2025. We as a family have witnessed a total change in her. She is looking healthier and has made friends. Everyone knows how Dementia has a massive impact on families. The staff have made the transition , for us collectively as a family, as easy as it could be . Jordan, Thomaz and the rest of the team, are so patient and caring . The respect they show my mum and us as a family is 100%. Any issues we have they always put our minds at ease. I worked in care years ago. So i am very pleased to say Carlisle Court is an amazing place for residents. They will go above and beyond for their residents care. Anytime i visit the home i am always met with a warm smile . We as a family sleep soundly knowing our mother is in a warm , safe and caring place.

Great care home excellent staff who go above and beyond for everyone my family member is so happy here we were worried bout putting them into a home but carlisle court have reassured us all and its a great happy place with great staff and facilities

We have recommended this home because it is well maintained and the staff and management go above and beyond every day. They work really hard but are still available when needed. I have a new respect of what everyone does daily at the home. A smile, patience and quick chat go a long way. Social activities are great and everyone is included. We know our mum likes going to the hair salon it makes her feel special. It's nice to see all the ladies looking wonderful.

For me and my sisters experience of Carrick Manor taking care of our mum we can say that the level of care was exemplary. Mum was always very well presented and her room immaculate each time we went in. The staff who the list is too long to mention were very attentive to mum and we always got a call if mum was having any problems. We found the staff transparent and could answer any questions we had. The evidence for us was mums demeanour was on the whole very good pending her state of health at the time. We would recommend Carrick Manor and we wish it all the best for the future

My Dad was in Ben Madigan for a short time before he passed away peacefully in their wonderful care. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and my Dad was treated with respect and compassion. He had a lovely bright room and the nursing care was excellent. As a family we were also looked after in his final day's by the staff with the offer of a hot drink or a kind word. A lovely bright care home with a lovely kind and caring atmosphere am glad got to spend his final day's in their care.

Dad also has problems swallowing food but while he was in the home he was able to eat everything NG they gave him. Amazing home and amazing people.

Our father died on the 27th of April. The care and compassion shown by the staff towards our father and family both during the month leading up to his death and afterwards has been greatly appreciated.

It gave us great peace of mind knowing she was in such good hands. Carlisle Court isn't just a care home-it's a community. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for excellent, compassionate care for their loved ones.

My grandmother has been at this care home for roughly a month or so. Since she arrived we have all been extremely satisfied with the care home. My grandmother's general health has improved noticeably, from better physical health to a better memory (far less "bad" days) which proves to me that the staff are taking care of her and other residents well. She's also made friends with some of the other residents who are mostly a pleasant bunch.

The staff are all very friendly to both us and the residents. Even when some residents are clearly in distress/pain/confusion the staff are extremely patient and calm. I do believe they genuinely care for the residents.

The care home itself is evidently clean and feels far more homely than the one she was in previously. My grandmother even had a choice of rooms. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and well kept. Public rooms such as the dining rooms and day room are bright, clean and (on colder days) well heated. My granny also compliments the food.

Personal touch fabulous

Care staff do their job to the best of their ability but a lot is expected of them and it takes only one to be off sick to put a lot of extra work on the rest. Agency staff are deployed but don't always know the residents or their needs. The food is excellent but again not enough staff to assist those who needs help eating and dinner is cold then.

When my parent first arrived at the home, the staff were very welcoming and extremely helpful this immediately put us as a family at ease. My parent was very difficult to deal with at the start, but the staff perservered and after 3 weeks they were settled and joining in the activities and socialising, something they haven't done in a long time. As a family, we are extremely grateful to all the staff.

I feel that mum is fully supported by a circle of kindness, care and love, we have gained a family in Carrickfergus Manor.

Dad has been residing at Carrickfergus manor for approximately 18 months. He settled very quickly with the help & diligence from staff. Lots of activities take place daily. Rooms are very spacious each with an en-suite and are cleaned daily. Food is excellent menu changes regularly. Any little issues are dealt with promptly. Would recommend this home for your loved ones with dementia.

Carlisle court is beautiful too look at but is not fit for purpose,there should be more money spent on staff who are qualified and care instead of furniture and decor..could not and would not ever recommend this service to anyone,was never so glad to get my father out of it.

I visit the care home as often as possible, and I never fail to be amazed at the wonderful and kind communication skills of the staff, from the management down to the carers. The staff are so genuinely caring and extremely patient, and it always makes a big impression on me. It is a pleasure to visit this care home and to see the residents living home from home. The residents are all very relaxed and very happy, and it is clear that they are settled there and consider it their home. All this is possible due to the love and kindness which is given by the staff across the board. When visiting, I clearly see that the Residents are happy, mingling, chatting, and enjoying their day with the carers and staff in the background helping as and when needed. I always leave there feeling very impressed with what I see. A big thumbs up to the management and all the staff who make this a very special place for the residents.

This care home is 5 star. As a family, we were very nervous as we had never had a family member placed into residential care before. The staff are so welcoming and engaged. You are always fully filled in of any instances or situations that may arise straight away. The staff's compassion towards residents shines through everyday and the care given is second to none. From the care assistants, care team leads and senior management everyone is polite, proactive and positive at all times.
