Overall Experience

Lakeview is a lovely home to live in, staff are like family and are so supportive and caring towards service users. We can have a laugh and banter but they're also there when you need to be serious and need the support and encouragement.
During my time here I have achieved so much from not being able

to walk and suffering really badly with my mental health they have helped and supported me through this. I now walk with one crutch, access the community on my own and have many community engagements, I am part of the local church as a lay minister, a member of the community choir. None of this would be possible without the support of the staff here. They've also supported me in my educational journey in my degree in Biomedical Science of which I'm in my second year.
We are now looking at moving on and I never thought this would be possible but with the staff and the amazing support of management Rob and Emma this is now achievable.

Adswood Care Home. Review on the management and staff. Always feel listened to, with feedback being responded without delay.
The manager of the care home always makes me feel reassured and never dismisses my concerns and worries. She is very approachable at all times and has a caring approach to her

It was nice to see mum relaxing watching tv with the staff today; mum was comfy and loving the fact the staff was sat with her keeping her safe and calm,

Overall Experience

My Partner has been a service user at Acer Mews since June 2024, his physical and emotional needs have been met by staff to an impeccable standard. The staff have always been extremely helpful, caring and professional when I have visited. A lot of thought is always put into activities and presents

for each service user not only did my partner receive some lovely Christmas presents from all the staff, but more recently received a gorgeous bag of chocolate and sweet goodies for Easter.

Overall Experience

Visit to see my dad who is 1-1 on Heatons Unit. He looked well. Staff were watchful of him, making sure we knew who was with him and where they would be if we needed them. Greeted by the staff when we arrived.

From the care he receives to the food.
He has not been outside for years and now gets out in the garden regularly.

Overall Experience

During the time my relative has been in the home, he has not received quality care delivered with compassion and dignity. The specialist care required and the care plan from the local authority have not been followed and further interventions have been required as a direct result of Acer Mews. A formal

complaint has been made to the CQC which is currently investigating. This home has only been open since March 2024.

Overall Experience

This is a caring, supportive, safe, and resident-focused care home. From the start of my brother's move to Adswood Lodge all staff have looked after him like a family member. Despite some of his challenging behaviour the staff used a caring approach and adapted to his needs. The care home has a positive

approach to looking after its residents. The ward is led by experienced managers who are open and transparent in their methods. This care home should be used as a model for other care homes. Well done!

Overall Experience

I have been a frequent visitor at Adswood Lodge since my father's partner was transferred from another care home unable to meet her complex needs. This was a very upsetting time and resulted in many hospital admissions. On arrival here, she was immediately assessed and settled, incidents causing distress

abruptly stopped. The staff here are proactive, intelligent, caring and professional. They always consider 'what can we do better?'. The managers and nursing staff oversee everything and value everyone; you are listened to. The home itself is welcoming, and clean, and provides excellent facilities. There is a feeling of togetherness. Highly recommended.

Overall Experience

My brother has made great progress since coming here. He has put weight on. He doesn't get as aggressive or agitated like he used to. He can now eat solid foods. All the carers seem to genuinely care for him, they have a laugh with him too and it feels like he isn't on his own in here.

Myself and my family cannot speak highly enough of Church Walk care home, meeting the complex needs of my uncle. All staff are exemplary, caring and compassionate. Nothing is too much trouble. They follow the interests of my uncle and his family and all staff go beyond expectations, treating him like

one of their own family. We feel so reassured and calm that he has such wonderful people looking after him. I personally work as a senior health professional and I have also acted in the past as an advisor. I can measure and appreciate what good care looks like. If we were to measure care on a 15 step challenge - exemplary. Care and compassion - exemplary. Leadership and inclusivity - exemplary. Meeting the needs of patients and their family - exemplary.
