My sister is well taken care of in here by the staff they do a brilliant job. They look after my sister and involve her in activities and outings. They keep me updated every couple of months on her condition. They also let me know her mood pre-visit.

Visiting my friend who suffers with dementia on a monthly basis it is a great comfort to see how happy he is and more importantly safe at Hillside.
The staff on his unit simply are amazing people, whilst he no longer recognises who people are there is still a spark in his eye and his smile lights up
a room when staff attend to him, the love, care and compassion shown really is commendable. Thank you, you really are special people doing what you do.

Visited mum on Xmas Eve and to our surprise they were just starting a Xmas party featuring a live lady singer, who sang all the old fav ourites and popular Xmas songs resulting in all service users/staff/visitors, up on their feet having a wonderful time. It is the first time in a long time I have seen
Mum so animated and happy. It truly made her Xmas. Thank you to everyone involved x

Since my son has lived at Fairburn Vale, he has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are very caring and attend to all his complex needs. He has settled in and is very happy and has made good friends. He is included in all activities with help from the staff. I have definitely seen an improvement in
him and his demeanour and social skills. His outings are always places that he can enjoy and participate in. Management are always on hand to answer or deal with any questions or queries. Overall, my mind is at rest with my son's care at his residency.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I visited Ravensdale on behalf of a friend whose husband is living with Dementia in a Care Home. I wished to ascertain whether he could be transferred here to be nearer the family home. I met Sarah (Manager) who discussed the circumstances and read his original care assessment. As a result it was
decided that his case was not suitable for the type of care given at Ravensdale. However, I wish to say that Sarah was very knowledgeable, sympathetic and kind during visit. It was also obvious from brief conversations I had with other members of her staff she is very well respected. In conclusion she offered to help in any way possible in our quest to find a more suitable Home as she has a vast knowledge of the caring profession. Thank you
Reply from Jenna Wood, Marketing Manager at RavensdaleThank you for taking the time to share your experience. While Ravensdale wasn't the right fit in this instance, we're glad we could help point you in the right direction, and we truly appreciate your kind words about Sarah and the team. We wish you and your friend's family all the very best in finding a suitable home.

My dad has been welcomed with open arms since day one, and has been such a relief to our family that he is getting the care and support he needed. Nothing is too much hassle any member of staff will go above and beyond to facilitate any needs or preferences. To us it feels like Dad is at home away from
home and treated like a part of the family. More than care, we feel loved.

During my father in laws illness we experienced a range of different care facilities and couldn't have asked for a better place than Hamilton Springs (other than home) for him to spend the remainder of his life. The carers were all welcoming and attentive when we visited and were always checking to
see all was well and my father in law was comfortable and hydrated. Any issues which arose during his stay were reported to us immediately. We were lucky that the staff caring for our loved one were first class. The family were so moved and impressed that 2 of the carers took their own time to attend the funeral.

My brother was fortunate enough to be placed in Lynx unit from Feb 2025. I have been meaning to submit this review since then. The minute I walked in, I was totally aware of all staff clearly being proud of belonging to this team. They worked so hard to make life better for my brother. They kept me
informed. He was always kept smart, beard trimmed, room lovely and he really enjoyed his food. You would expect this to be the case of all care homes. In my experience, this isn't so. However, beyond this, Lynx unit staff gave him dignity, friendship, laughter & love. I have been blown away by this. They also had hope for him to be the best he could be and pushed for his very best care. They treated him like family, which I found both extraordinary and moving. They brought the best out of him during this time and gave me access to my brother again in a way which brought joy & peace to us both. Even since his death, they have been nothing but wonderful. We are forever grateful.
Reply from Clare Heaton, Home Manager at Wheldale HeightsIt was a pleasure and a privilege caring from your brother, we wanted to ensure his last few months were enjoyable, and he felt safe and cared for. We miss him and your family very much.

My mum moved into Wheldale Heights in January this year, and it has changed both of our lives for the better. My mum's care needs are complex as she suffers with Huntington's Disease and before Wheldale, my mum didn't have the appropriate level of care and her quality of life was suffering because of
it. Now, the care my mum receives from the staff at Wheldale is out of this world. Her quality of life has improved ten fold and she is so happy and so settled. The facilities are spotless and always smell fresh, and the staff go above and beyond for the residents. Special shout out to the activity team who always keep my mum busy taking her different places and treating her like one of their friends. The staff really do care here, they put the residents first, they keep me updated with any concerns and I know she's in the safest place. It's been life changing for both of us! I am so grateful I can be a daughter to my mum again, all thanks to the incredible staff.

Welcoming and friendly, seems to be organised and everyone doing their bit. Good for residents & visitors.
Not had any cause to deal with management.
No idea about value for money - except that I believe that 'NO ONE' should have to pay for their care and can't believe there is not a massive uproar
NATIONALLY about this! Everyone has the chance to do what they want with their money. Seems like the ones that do the 'RIGHT THING' (SAVE, PENSIONS, BUY THEIR HOMES, ETC) GET PENALISED/HAVE TO PAY - THIS IS 'THEFT'!!!
Reply from Jenna Wood, Marketing Manager at RavensdaleThank you for your kind review and for highlighting the positive aspects of our home. We're grateful for your feedback and pleased to hear that you've had a positive experience with the care we provide. We understand your concerns around funding. While this falls outside of our direct control, it's worth noting that due to the acuity of the care we provide, the people we support typically do not self-fund. Our priority remains to ensure that everyone we care for is supported to live a meaningful life, in the way they choose, as much as possible.Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts.

My mum has been at Wheldale Heights for about 8 months and I couldn't ask for better care. Staff know her well and treat her like family. My mum has dementia and is non verbal, but staff anticipate her needs as well as I do. The meals are excellent and the whole building is spotless. I phone often and
they always have time to talk to me, I also get regular updates. They've even taken Mum out for the day, which is fantastic. No one wants to put their loved ones in care but I couldn't ask for a safer or more caring place. They are amazing people.
