The care home provides residents with the best lovely staff and care. Facilities are very good too. Always treat everyone with the best care and respect; residents and the families.. Always willing to help when needed.

Over the past few weeks I have visited the home several times and will continue to do so in the coming weeks. During these visits, Shire Oaks Court has felt like a very positive and welcoming environment where the complex needs of the people living there are clearly supported. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and it is really nice to see the way individual needs are recognised and cared for. It is also great to see the variety of activities available, giving residents lots of opportunities to take part in things they enjoy.

My son was critically injured in a road traffic hit and run incident in November 2022 and has been recovering since, in hospital, a care home, a rehab centre, and then we found Shire Oaks Court Care Home. He's 34 years old, and we feel Shire Oaks accommodates him and his needs. Socially, he is ready to enjoy doing things with Aid, cinema, bowling, cooking, reading, music, and food experiences out in restaurants. The home is comfy, well-staffed and friendly.

The staff are all really caring to my husband and myself and I cannot fault them. Lovely atmosphere and no bad smells. The manager and office staff are great too and everyone is so friendly. They let me know straightaway of any incidents that may happen either in the home or to my husband. I like it that you can visit anytime of day and night and that there is always a nurse on 24 hours. I would recommend this home to anyone. Thank you for all you do.

My husband said the food was really good and good qaulity. Management took the time to show me around and answer any questions. Would happily recommend.

My husband was a resident at Maypole Grove for 2 years and left 3 weeks ago. He was placed here because of his complex needs including a tracheotomy. He was well cared for and because of the GP's weekly visits any infections or problems were caught early which probably avoided hospital stays. In the last year he also received regularly physio which was a great help. We will both have lasting fond memories of the people we met during his stay.

My sister and I will always be grateful for the way that Mum was looked after.

My dad has been here for a few weeks after a long period in hospital, he has very challenging behaviour due to his complex medical needs. The staff have been fantastic in helping Dad to settle, treating him with care and dignity, nothing is too much trouble for them. The home is very clean, the choice of meals is very good, residents can choose what they like, Dad has had the opportunity to go out with the activity team on the mini bus which he has enjoyed. A lovely welcome awaits family when you visit.

My uncle has always looked clean, well and cared for. Always seems to be in good spirits when I come to visit. Quality of care has been excellent as seen visibly.

We would definitely recommend Otterburn. No complaints find us.

Since my mum came to Otterburn she, I believe, has had the utmost care that she needs. The staff are friendly and cater to mums every need. One of my gripes is the telephone on her ward; it's hardly answered. There should be more phones available, also at times the communication between myself and 'some staff' isn't met.

My husband was in Blackmoor Care Home for 2 weeks respite. This was the first time that he had been away from home so it was an anxious time for both of us but the staff were so welcoming and he settled straight away. I would like to thank all of the staff for the exceptional care that my husband received during his stay

I am happy to visit my brother in Shire Oaks Court it has a friendly atmosphere. Staff are friendly and respectful there are plenty of activities on offer to residents. The food is very good. The cleanliness of the home is excellent. The laundry facilities are very good. All staff interact with the residents.

I would not hesitate to recommend Blackmoor Care Home.

Care at Maple Grove is excellent. The care and compassion all staff and management have shown my son is so reassuring, as a family we have peace of mind when we have to leave him in their care. All the family have learnt through experience that all care homes are not the same, thank goodness for Maypole Grove and thank all staff and management for looking after my son.

Was a resident from Oct 2023 to June 2024. Initially things were good but then I had the worst experience of my life like a horror movie and didnt feel safe. Staff especially management were unprofessional and uncaring and I found out I was being recorded in my room. They got me sectioned which was the lesser of two evils but they took me to hospital under false pretences and didn't help me to get help for my severe head trauma which I believe is terminal and I have severe PTSD as a result of my experience there.
