The staff are excellent at this care home, they are very friendly and welcoming and always have time for a chat. I'm always informed and updated when anything happens with my dad medically. My dad is a very fussy eater and staff always give him alternative options if there aren't things on the menu
that he wants to eat.
Rooms are comfortable, again staff very accommodating with things my dad wants in his room, his room has been made very homely for him.
Reply from Steve Gardner-Collins, On behalf of the team at WillowcroftThank you so much for your wonderful review. We're delighted to hear that you've had such a positive experience with our team. Providing a friendly, welcoming environment where families feel informed and reassured is incredibly important to us, so it's lovely to know you feel well updated about your dad's care. It's also great to hear that our team has been able to accommodate your dad's preferences, especially when it comes to meals. We understand how important it is that residents enjoy their food, and we always aim to offer flexibility and choice wherever possible. We're so pleased that his room feels comfortable and homely too-creating a personal space that reflects each resident's needs and preferences is something we truly value. Thank you again for your kind words and for trusting us with your dad's care.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
I visited my sister today and was pleasantly surprised to see her sitting in the lounge, as last week when I saw her she was in bed, quite poorly. She was looking forward to her lunch, and enjoys her food. Her new room is nicer than the previous one, not having to sit on the commode through lack of
space was certainly an improvement. The fact that each of the residents has to have a commode bothers me greatly, and I feel that in this it's a big problem.
Reply from Steve Gardner-Collins, On behalf of the team at Marden CourtThank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear that your sister is feeling better and was able to spend time in the lounge during your visit-that's always a positive sign. It's also wonderful to know she's enjoying her meals and looking forward to them. We're pleased that you're happy with her new room as well, and we hope it continues to provide her with comfort and a pleasant environment. Your kind words mean a great deal to our team, and we'll be sure to share your feedback with them. We of course take onboard all feedback, and review our services continually. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.

Mum entered the home in August 2025 after a diagnosis of vascular dementia, and after a bad fall at home, my stepfather became a permanent resident earlier this month.
It's great to see them both being well looked after, and indeed my stepfather is thriving in his new environment.
Many thanks and

We had to put our dad in as an emergency. He has never bee happier. The staff have been marvellous. They are so caring and kind. The food is out of this world. It is always clean and tidy in the home. Dad is always clean and tidy when we see him. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We as a family

1000 characters isnt enough to say how much all the staff actually do care and do everything they possibly can to make sure residents are happy comfortable and enjoy their time at Monkscroft .
Mum was there for seven months came in as bed bound ended up as end of life care .
i never wanted mum in a

All of the staff are amaizing, everyone takes time to notice you to make you welcome . The food is cooked in the kitchens not a microwave or bag of frozen peas in sight
Housekeeping ...always with a smile always a friendly chat always made time for everyone always sensitive to mums needs always showing they cared .
carers ... their prority is comfort compassion respect all carried with dignity and respect that shows no limits
Nurses ... what can i say always making sure mum was comfortable pain free and recieving the best possible treatment

St Wilfrid's Priory Care Home

from R T (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 30 March 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother in law was a resident at St Wilfrid's for over 6 years. As a retired nurse I visited 5 days a week with a very critical eye and was always so impressed with the care she received until her death at a delightful 99 years of age. The staff are caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable, gentle and kind.
The home is much more like a large family house, and feels welcoming and friendly. I truly believe my mother in law was happy there as born out by her huge smile whenever one of her carers entered her room. All the staff have become part of 'our' family.
During lockdown they really tried to ensure relatives could stay in touch with loved ones, and to my knowledge lost no one to covid throughout the whole time - a testament to their excellent care.
The location is perfect with parking for relatives, beautiful gardens to enjoy, and easy walking to many cafes etc in Arundel to take relatives out.
The home is not 'pristine and clinical', but it is homely.
Reply from Harry Marsh, On behalf of the team at St Wilfrid's Priory Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. It means a great deal to us to hear about your mother-in-law's experience over her many years at St Wilfrid's. We are truly honoured to have been part of her life, and it's wonderful to know she felt happy, comfortable, and so well cared for. Your kind words about our team, their compassion, knowledge, and dedication, will mean so much to everyone, especially knowing they made such a positive difference to both your mother-in-law and your family. We're also grateful for your recognition of the support provided during lockdown, which was a challenging time for everyone. Ensuring our residents stayed safe while maintaining those all-important family connections was incredibly important to us. Thank you again for your trust and support over the years. It means everything to know that we became part of your extended family.

St Wilfrid's Priory Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother has been resident at this Home for many years, she is now 99 years of age. Throughout her stay the staff have treated her with the utmost care, and have always given her all the time and attention necessary to make her feel completely safe, secure and content.
We have visited her five days
each week over this period. The management and care staff have always been assiduous in ensuring the Home is welcoming, and have made a point of getting to know us too - so that they can sensitively relay any issues concerning Mum's care.
They make swift and sensible judgements about when to call for the services of the GP, the District Nurse, and other services to ensure their residents' well-being, and keep the next of kin informed.
This is a very well run and friendly Home - with the back-up resources of a large care organisation (The Order of St John) to ensure all the facilities enjoyed by the residents are properly supported.
Reply from Harry Marsh, On behalf of the team at St Wilfrid's Priory Care HomeThank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review. It is truly wonderful to hear about your mother's long stay with us and that she has felt safe, secure, and well cared for throughout her time at the home. We are especially grateful for your kind words about our team at St Wilfrid's Priory. Building meaningful relationships with both our residents and their families is incredibly important to us, and it's lovely to know you have felt welcomed and supported over the years. Your recognition of the care, communication, and professionalism shown by our staff means a great deal, and we will be sure to share your feedback with the whole team. My mum, Catherine, has been at Lewin House for over 4 years. She continues to receive excellent care until this day. As a family we are extremely grateful for the care that our mother is receiving. The staff are amazing in every aspect of care. They are professional in how they conduct themselves as
they carry-out their daily tasks. The staff are courteous, friendly and supportive both in person and over the telephone from the managers, front desk staff, nurses and nursing assistants. Not to mention the staff dealing with food preparation. It's really a calling; they are always smiling.
Although, I live in the USA, I am yet to be disappointed with my mum's care every time I visit Lewin House. My elder sister, Victorine, lives In Aylesbury and visits mum regularly and she is of the same opinion and observation.
Thank you

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I am impressed with the professional care standard of the home and the excellent nursing care plus access to GP when needed. Staff are friendly and supportive. Meals look appetising and are generally appreciated by my sister. The environment of the home is well maintained and welcoming. My sister is
in the latter stage of Alzheimer's/dementia and is supported fully in her daily living by staff.
