Review of Stirlings from Valerie T (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
Mum was a resident of Stirlings for 2 years and the staff were lovely, they spent time getting to know Mum and engaged her in activities when possible.
Mum was fiercely independent and the staff were respectful of that and gave Mum the space she sometimes wanted.
Unfortunately Mum needed specialist nursing support and after a spell in hospital we needed to find a nursing home.
We were very sad that we had to move Mum and are very grateful for the 2 years of support that the staff at Stirlings provided both to us and Mum. We felt that we were leaving a whole family and friends behind.

Thank you so much to all the staff, it was not an easy journey but you made the best of it.

Reply from Helen Dearing, On behalf of the team at Stirlings

Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. It was a privilege to care for your mum over the past two years, and we're so pleased to hear that the team took the time to get to know her, respecting her independence while supporting her in the way that suited her best. I visit my friend, Alma, regularly and since she has been here at Station House she seems very happy and well cared for. The staff are very good and pleasant. I have been impressed with all the trips and entertainment there is for the residents. The outside of the building looks excellent with the gardens and if I ever have to come somewhere like this, I would be very happy here.

Whenever I vist O.S.H. to see my mother in law I always get a warm welcome from the Staff on duty. On the way to M.I.L. room there is usually an activity taking place in the Atrium which the residents really enjoy. Jeff is brilliant with everybody. MIL's room is spacious, and always kept clean. The food looks very nice and always smells great. Overall a very well run home.

My brother and I are very happy with the care our mother receives. The staff are all so caring, know the residents well and are always kind in the way they talk to our mother and care for her. The food is good and our mother is very happy with her room, and being able to take part in activities with others. The staff are always welcoming when we visit, keep us updated on how our mother is and are always ready to listen. The staff work hard and yet are always happy and positive. Review of Madley Park House from Stuart M (Son of Resident) published on 23 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Having had no experience of care homes, Madley Park House took my mother in on an emergency. I have been taken aback by it all. For my mother she can now be well looked after, cared and supported. It will bring her an improvement in her wellbeing that has contributed to poor health. For the family it gives comfort she can be looked after by carers who know what to do. Finally, with your care we know our mum is in the best place. Thank you.

Both my parents had to go into temporary respite care at fairly short notice whilst repairs were carried out that their home. Lent Rise House facilities and staff were excellent. Mum and Dad were treated with great respect and kindness for the whole of there stay. The staff were very attentive and also extended that kindness and reassuring support to us a family in what was a very stressful time. Very clean comfortable accommodation with lots of activities and beautiful lounge and gardens for them to enjoy also. Medical support was excellent and we cannot speak highly enough of the staff.

A big belated thank you everyone at Lent Rise whose care and kindness to us all was wonderful we cannot speak highly enough of the facilities care and support they gave us during a very stressful time.
