Overall Experience

My first visit to a loved one today. Claydon House was beautifully presented. The Staff were super. We were offered coffee on arrival. Our loved one was clearly being well looked after in a beautiful room which was clean, warm and personalised.
When a person you love is vulnerable and needs to be cared

for it is a stressful and scary time...but when you meet staff with warm smiles and time for you....it means the world. Thank you. Xx

Overall Experience

All the staff involved in making my mother's 99th birthday an enjoyable and memorable one are to be congratulated. Allowing all our family to use the recently renovated tea room was really appreciated and the decorations for the birthday tea were great.
Day room is so much more comfortable since its

renovation, but the bedrooms and corridors need updating.

Overall Experience

After a fall at home and a hospital stay, we realised it was no longer safe for mum to return to her bungalow, even with carer visits! We chose Heffle Court for her, and they were extremely helpful and understanding with moving and settling her in, back in March this year! Although at first it was difficult

for her to accept the change, she is now settled and accepts everything around her! My brother and I are more than happy with all aspects of the care she receives. We are relieved to know she is in a safe environment, provided with good health meals, and has company at all times! Recently, mum celebrated her ninety-ninth birthday, and once the staff knew all the family wanted to celebrate with her, the home arranged a room (beautifully decorated and set up) by two young carers, food, drinks and cake!

Overall Experience

I really enjoy visiting my friend. Her room is beautiful with enough of her possessions for her to feel it is her home. It has a stunning view of tree tops as the shared sitting room next door also has. Quite often her friends join in our conversations, and staff ply us with tea and delicious cakes

made in the kitchen. Long term staff have imaginative and caring relationships with her. Often they lay on interesting activities e.g. surveying and discussing a range of contemporary magazines, and I have attended stunning musical recitals with her.

Overall Experience

Right from the moment I came to visit the home, I had an excellent reception and warm it is. Once I looked around, I knew this was the right home.
I visited my grandad 4 days after he was admitted. I was truly impressed with the friendliest staff, and that is all the staff. I was made very welcome

and comfortable.
I loved the feel of the day room, where it felt relaxing, safe and very friendly. I knew we had made the right decision. Vlad went above and beyond to get him here quickly.

My brother went into Claydon House Lewes on palliative care and I can't be more pleased with the care he is getting the Mangers are very helpful and cheerful and the staff cannot do any more for you and the residents they work very hard to keep everyone happy i cannot praise them highly enough I am

Overall Experience

Southlands Place provides outstanding person centred care, treating clients with dignity and respect. Staff put all the residents first, and nothing is too much trouble even when they are busy.
As a personal assistant to a resident whom I take out on a weekly basis, I liaise with activities assistant,

nurse practitioners, incl. care staff, all of whom are kind, friendly and approachable.

Overall Experience

I am so pleased with Southlands Place for my elderly 103 year old friend. He initially came in for respite yet after a short while we came to the conclusion that he would be much happier and safer at Southlands Place care home after having several falls at home.
He has not had one fall in Southlands

place and I regularly cook him if he is happy and comfortable to which he replies "oh yes I am quite comfy here and the stay are lovely" I never thought I would hear him say that as he never liked the idea of a home yet Southlands Place has stayed up to the mark.

Overall Experience

I am very happy with my mum being at Southlands Place. The staff are very friendly and seem to really care about their clients.
The building is bright and welcoming with a bistro area near the reception that gives off a good vibe.
There are activities to do daily if one wishes, singing, arts and crafts,

film afternoons, bingo, music and memories etc.
There is a dinning room if one wishes to socialise. With a lounge and dinner room area on each floor with other rooms to sit in quietly if one wishes.

Overall Experience

My father-in-law has now been at Southlands for a year. During this time I have nothing but praise for the entertainments girls. Every month there is a different theme and it is always a pleasure to walk in. Their recent autumn window is amazing from the outside I thought the drawings were stencils,

but no, everything to my amazement was hand drawn! They are a credit to the home.

Overall Experience

The staff are amazing, very kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble. Although cleanliness almost everywhere is good, sometimes my mum's room has not been hoovered as often as I think it should be. Food, I think there could be more emphasis put on vegetables and salads, especially in the summer.

The manager completed a home assessment with my husband, he clearly explained what Heffle Court had on offer. All staff friendly, approachable & professional. Both my husband and I felt welcomed into the home for his respite stay.
Lounge area smelled of urine, but bedroom very clean.

My mum needed to be moved to a new nursing home very urgently. The manager and admin have gone above and beyond to provide a room with all the space facilities she needs. It is very spacious and clean. The manager has been brilliant and reassuring right from the start. I am very confident that my mum
