I have spent 2 weeks visiting my mother daily for most of the day, my mother has settled in nicely at Knowle Park Nursing Home and she now considers it her new home and wants to stay there. She is enjoying the ooutside walks and countryside air and views. The staff treat my mother with respect and dignity
and she is feeling very much loved. The meals are delicious with generous portions. My mother celebrated her 100th Birthday in Knowles conservatory with family. Decorations were excellent and her room was also very well decorated. The staff brought in the birthday cake and helped. The buffet was excellent with plenty of good food and drink for all. As I live in Canada it gives me peace of mind that Mum is very well cared for and happy in an excellent facility. Thank you everyone.
Reply from Nicole Howarth, on behalf of the team at Knowle Park Nursing HomeThank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review! We're delighted to hear how well your mother has settled at Knowle Park and that she now feels at home here. It's wonderful to know she's enjoying the countryside, the meals, and the care from our team. We were honoured to celebrate her 100th birthday with your family, and we're so pleased the decorations, buffet, and support from the team made the day special. We understand how important peace of mind is when you live far away, and we're glad you feel confident in the care she receives. I will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.

My mother spent four weeks at Thames View following a stroke. I can not fault the place. A beautiful location, stunning building and great facilities. But most of all it's the amazing staff who makes this place so special - the carers, the cleaners, the catering team, admin, reception and others. They
couldn't have been more welcoming, kind, professional and considerate. It feels like a nice place to be, and I can't thank the staff enough for making a challenging time for our family easier to cope with.

Dad moved to Chestnut View aged 97 in April 2025. Going from independance to a care home (via hospital stays) was very stressful to both him and me. But the dedication and kindness of the staff, from reception onwards, was imo, outstanding. The care staff were always cheerful and helpful and made proper
connections with dad and his family. We are very grateful that he was so well looked after in his final months. There seemed to be a low turn over of staff which was comforting to dad.
Reply from Nicole Howarth, on behalf of the team at Chestnut View Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your experience with us at such a difficult time. We understand how challenging it can be for both residents and their families when making the transition into care, especially after a lifetime of independence, and we're truly grateful you placed your trust in us. It's heartening to hear that our team's dedication, warmth, and consistency brought comfort to your father and your family. On behalf of everyone at Chestnut View, please accept our heartfelt condolences on your father's passing. It was a privilege to care for him, and we send our warmest thoughts to you and your family.

I visit on a weekly basis & during the two years I have been a regular visitor, I have always received a warm & friendly greeting. The first impression is very positive. The staff I meet during my visits are always receptive.
As with all care homes, staff turnover & retention can be a challenge.
There have been a considerable number of established staff leaving, & it does often leave a gap in experience & consistency. Team work can sometimes appear a little stretched.
The nursing staff - excellent! The new Manager is very approachable.
The newly decorated dining rooms look light & inviting & I have only heard good things about the food & the Chef.
During the past month, there have been problems with broken lifts. On occasions, no working lift, which has been an issue for both my mother, to go down to the garden & for my father visiting. I understand this has now been resolved.
The gardens are well maintained and there is a pleasant atmosphere at Cranmer Court.
Reply from Stuart Lamacraft, On behalf of the team at Cranmer CourtThank you for sharing such a thoughtful and balanced review of your experiences at Cranmer Court. We are delighted to hear that you always receive a warm welcome on your visits, and that you have found the nursing team, our approachable new manager, and the freshly decorated dining areas to be so positive. Your comments about the food and the atmosphere are also greatly appreciated. We recognise your observations around staff changes and the recent challenges with the lifts, and we are grateful for your understanding as we worked to resolve them. I can't fault it. Very pleasant and caring staff. My partner's room is very spacious and comfortable. It's very peaceful here. The grounds are neat and well kept. I can bring Buddy our little dog along to see her which is so comforting.
All visitors have remarked on the lovely building and how comfortable

There's always someone within reach if we require help with anything.
The food is excellent and remains hot even though it's served in her room.

My mother has now been at Thames View care home for the past year and in that time she has settled in well and is enjoying the home. The setting, in the banks of the river, and the gardens are lovely and give my mother a lot of pleasure. I have always found the staff to be polite and friendly and they
