My mother became a resident at Belmont House as it was deemed for her to be no longer safe at home due to risk of falls. My mother was initialy very resistant to the idea of a care home but now has become much calmer & relaxed & not asking to go home daily. The staff are all amazing & cannot do enough
to assist with the transitioning of a loved one to Belmont House. I feel happy when I leave my mother that she is in a safe environment being cared for to such a high standard of care.
Reply from Stuart Lamacraft, on behalf of the team at Belmont House Nursing Home

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We're so pleased to hear that your mother has settled well at Belmont House and that you feel reassured by the care and support she's receiving. This was my wife's second visit to Galsworthy House, and again, she loved it. She thinks all the staff are so lovely, all the tea and cakes are wonderfull, and would be quite happy to stay there for much longer. Since returning home, she likes to remind me how she used to get soup, and a main meal,

my father has been at Bourn house for over 2 years, the staff are friendly and seem well trained, I am in care myself so I take a very serious interest. When I did have a problem (not with the care) it was delt with promptly.
They have a lot of activities for residents and do day trips, to garden centres
and alike. There are things going on in the garden in the nice weather. They always celebrate birthdays and they make their own caked which are delicious. The home is clean and well kept and there is no smell in there, the food is cooked on site and looks lovely and my dad has a cooked breakfast each day which he loves.
He is monitored and his health is good, he has dementia and bed bound he is clean and he is checked regularly for pressure sores, and if there treated quickly. I would recommend to anybody looking for a nursing home for a loved one.

My mum has been a resident a Belmont House for a few months now and I cannot fault the care she receives. Everyone in the home is friendly, and helpful and cannot do enough for residents and visitors alike. They have always treated my mum with dignity and respect and go out of their way to honour any

Cannot fault the care, hygiene or anything else with Belmont House. The staff are fantastic. Friendly and efficient.
Mum says the food is generally very good and there is activities on daily to keep residents entertained. Regular pop ins from the staff if that's what the resident wants.
Communal
dining rooms are well kept And well used, a Lovely private dining area for residents and families to use. Fantastic hairdressing facility, with hairdressers coming in weekly, although personal hairdressers are welcome with the right insurances.
Cinema room is a lovely touch too with a large array of DVDs to watch.
All round fabulous home

My husband (78 years old) has advanced dementia and is physically frail, he came to Albany Lodge after a months stay in hospital. I was impressed straight away by the friendly relaxed atmosphere and the positive attitude of the manager and staff. His room is spacious and clean and he is kept clean and
tidy. I go in most days to help feed him at lunchtime and the food is imaginative, of good quality and cooked on the premises. He is not left in bed all the time, but is included in activities which he seems to enjoy watching even if he is unable to participate. Overall, I feel I have made the right decision to chose Albany Lodge.

Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5
We placed our mother into Galsworthy House Kingston for a weeks respite. We phoned nearly everyday to check on her welfare and the staff were pleasant and updated us on our mother's health and the activities she had participated in. On collecting her from Galsworthy House Kingston, she looked happy
and stated that everyone (staff and residents) were in her own words; 'lovely'. I would recommend labelling personal items or taking images, as on leaving we found clothing packed into our mother's suitcase that did not belong to her.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a fantastic review! We're delighted your mother had a great experience and felt happy during her stay with us at Galsworthy House. It's also great to hear that you felt supported and well-informed throughout her stay, something we do pride ourselves on doing. Thank you for highlighting the issue with the clothing, we are sorry to hear about the mix-up but we will pass this on to the team to look into. We would be delighted to welcome your mother back again should she require further support in the future. I will pass on your kind comments to the whole team.

Cedar View Care Centre

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We've always had excellent experiences at Cedar View, where my mother has lived for the past three years. The House manager, in particular, has consistently gone above and beyond - supporting my mum, guiding me through the challenges of caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's, and always offering a
kind word when things get overwhelming. I truly couldn't ask for better care for Mum. The entire staff is incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure mum's needs are met - even when it's not easy, as she can be quite a challenge at times. I can't say enough goo things about our experience at Cedar View.

Thank you for such a thoughtful and generous review of Cedar View. We're so pleased to hear how well supported both you and your mum have felt over the past three years. Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's brings many challenges, and it means a great deal to know that the team-and the manager in particular-have made a genuine difference during those moments. Your kind words will be shared with everyone here.

Hamilton do a great job looking after my mum, who is blind.
Staff are always kind and considerate, looking at ways to stimulate Mum.
Definitely recommend.
I trust and feel confident in the care Mum receives.
