The Laurels and The Limes Care Home

My Dear Mum moved into The Laurels and Limes Care home in January 2023, she was very happy living in the Limes where she made friends out of both residents and care staff who looked after her with kindness, dignity and respect, sadly my Mum passed away 02-01-26 in the later stages off her life all
the staff supported and comforted us, but most importantly they comforted my Mum hardly ever leaving her side. In the years she was there we as a family will always be grateful for the care she received from the wonderful care givers who really are unsung heroes your kindness and humanity did not go unnoticed by us
Reply from Zoe O'Neill, Registered Home Manager at The Laurels and The Limes Care HomeThank you very much for the kinds words, I will be sure to let the staff know of your lovely review. It was pleasure to care for your mom, with many lovely memories to remind us all of your mom.

Really grateful to the staff on the nursing unit at Aaron Grange. My Mother was there for 9 months before passing away a few weeks ago. She had Alzheimer's. She was treated with respect and kindness and we were always well informed and included in decisions.
We sat by her bed the week she died and
everyone was professional but compassionate.
They do a difficult job caring for our loved ones with this terrible condition and I am very grateful.
Reply from Angie Smith, Regional Manager at Aaron Grange Care HomeThank you for taking the time to write this review at a time which I am sure is very difficult - we will of course share your positive feedback with the team and on behalf of the home would like to extend our condolences to you and your family.

When entering the care home there's a lovely warm welcoming feeling. My mam is very happy with everything and now feels safe and secure and enjoys the interaction with both staff and fellow residents. They have a lot of events going on and Mam enjoys getting involved. It is a great relief to the family
and giving us all peace of mind.
Staff are very friendly and professional and are willing to help in anyway.

The Beeches Care Home

What can I say about this home and its staff. Jenny and her team are absolute angels. The care and compassion shown to my nanna whilst she was in their care was second to none. Nanna fit straight in and the staff made such a fuss over her and were always at her beck and call for cups of tea or for a
dance if nan felt like it.
Unfortunately my nanna passed away recently and I could see how heartbroken all the staff were and that's because they really cared. The staff put 100% into caring for their residence and also getting to know their families. I can hand on heart say I would recommend Jenny and her team to any family looking for 24 hour care for their loved ones.
From cleaners to cooks, from admin to activities coordinators, the team is compassionate and caring and deserve the recognition of this
If I had one criticism it would only be that the home does not receive a great deal of money for activities, but they do what they can with what they have got and try and bring some fun

Warm & welcoming home - not 'smelly'. Lots of staff around - friendly & approachable. Good variety of food & menu options. Lots of interaction/friendly banter. Cosy room with own toilet (top-up payable) Lots of nooks & cranny's for quiet time. Open hours for family & friends to visit. Welcome to enjoy
Christmas dinner with my Dad. Message re laundry didn't get passed on. Not informed when Dad was unwell.
Reply from Claire Allen, Manager at Springbank House Care HomeThank you for your lovely comments. Dad has settled very well into the home. I apologise that the laundry message was not received by all the team. Communication with families when their loved one's are unwell is very important & an area we are working on to improve.

Due to having emergency surgery on 8/12/25 which has been life changing ie above knee amputation there was absolutely no pleace I would come for rehab except The Beeches as my husband is permenant resident upstars and I have a room downstairs. My care has been excellent and as an ex nurses I try to
be a good patient. I have confidence in everyone from management carers cleaning laundry staff handy man and activities and admin kitchen staff. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. Without a doubt I would recommened The Beeches to anyone looking for a care home in the area.

My father has just spent a few weeks in Simonsfield. The team that looked after him were second to none. The home is incredibly well appointed with great facilities, excellent food, comfortable spacious rooms, cinema, lounges, dining rooms. Great programme of things to do. From the moment he arrived
he was made to feel welcome and every single carer had him and the rest of the residents at the centre of what they do. They were incredibly supportive and looked after him really well. Debbie runs a great team and all the careers, nurses and staff could not do enough for us.

Aden Court Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
From my initial appointment to view the home and facilities, to today, after my wife has been a resident for 11 days, the staff and management of Aden Court have filled me with confidence that she will be respectfully, carefully, and lovingly cared for during her stay, no matter how long this may be.
I tend to be oversolicitous, but my wife is the only thing in my life, and no matter how fussy I may be, nothing is too much bother for the staff, under an excellent management team. I wish that I were in a position to look after my wife myself; regretfully this is simply not possible, but I am very happy that she is in the care of such a lovely team at Aden Court.

My Dad went to Alderwood in December 2024, the service is second to none, he was happy and cared for, he enjoyed it, he loved Maria and all the staff. When my mum also shown signs of not being able to live independently there was never any other place that we felt she would be best placed than Alderwood
and she went in August 2025, since being in there she has been to Southport for fish n chips, a visit to the garden centre to name a few, the entertainment is fantastic and she is having an amazing time too! Big thanks to all the staff, they do an amazing job, sadly we lost our dad in March 2025 but Mum continues to thrive there and she is really happy and so are we! Well done guys xx

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
When I was first offered rehab in a care home I was reluctant to say yes as I feel care homes were just places that elderly people sat around. However I agreed and from day one the quality of this particular care home has changed my outlook and I find if in the future I need to live in a care home I
would not hesitate. The staff are not only friendly but also professional (qualities that sometimes are hard to combine). The food is excellent and mealtimes are social events. The room is warm and well maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to my friends and family. I know it looks confused because I have chosen good or excellent but it is nevertheless true.

My son was in hospital from March to August with lots of medical issues. As he started to improve it became apparent that he needed a different surrounding. He was transferred to Branfield mid August and after the initial 'changes' my son soon settled into his need care regime. All staff were very helpful,
informative, respectful and pleasant, carrying out their duties to a high standard. A timetable of activities for residents always available on the notice board near the main entrance door. My son made very good progress at Barnfield and I'd like to thank everyone for making his stay happy and comfortable.
Reply from Rebecca Wass, Home Manager at Barnfield Care HomeThank you for sharing your lovely feedback.
We were delighted to welcome your son and support him as he regained his strength, and the team were proud to help him settle into a routine that suited his needs. He was very well thought of by everyone and is genuinely missed. Your kind words mean so much to the staff, who always strive to care with warmth, dignity and respect. We are so pleased to hear he made such positive progress and that his stay at Barnfield was comfortable and happy. We all wish him the very best for the future.
