My husband and I visited Deerswood Lodge on the 8th of June, the visit was with my mother who is a resident. We were greeted with friendly faced staff who enjoyed meeting our dog, the staff had time to say hello and asked who we had come to see. We signed the visitor's book and proceeded to Mums room,
we noticed that the carpets on the stairs were in the process of being cleaned and looked fresh, infact all areas looked clean & tidy & welcoming. We entered Mums room & she was delighted to see us. We travel from Cornwall to see Mum and it was lovely to see her looking so well and happy. Mums room was clean and fresh and she had everything she needed at arms length. Mum said she was happy living there and the carers were really nice which is lovely to hear. Whilst we were with Mum several staff popped by including a nurse to ask mum how she was today. We also were made a cup of tea which was most welcome. A member of staff also help me find a vase for the flowers I brought for Mum.

What an absolutely fantastic care home. The staff at Llwyn Teg really do go the extra mile to ensure every resident is treated with care, compassion and the utmost respect. My father loves the place, and speaks positively about every member of staff. I know he's safe, and being well cared for by a
team who work seamlessly together to provide the very best care available. Thank you to all the staff at Llwyn Teg.

Ledbury Nursing Home

Much of the building is newly refurbished - the lounges and coffee lounge to an exceptional standard. Residents' ensuite rooms are clean and comfortable. Medication distribution is efficient. Activities for residents are very varied and occur most days. The choice of food offered at mealtimes could
be improved, but this, I am sure, will occur now that a new chef has been appointed. The food is hot and nicely cooked. The staff are very friendly and respect the dignity of those residents they are caring for. I recommend Ledbury Nursing Home to anyone needing a short or longer stay.

Although initially concerned about the distance from our home we could not have wished for a better place for mom to spend the last weeks of her life. The staff were amazing and were like an extra family to mom, incredibly caring and supportive of her, always treated her with kindness, respect, dignity
and friendship. This support was also extended to our family which was a great comfort in the last few weeks. We will always be grateful that The Cottage Wing at Barton were able to take mom for her palliative care giving mom and our family precious time together under their care and support. Thank you!

I have had a very pleasant stay here having had wonderful care by all the staff night and day. The nurses and care staff have gone out of their way to make sure I have been comfortable and cared for both day and night. The organisation of the home is impressive down to the every day cleanliness to the
building maintenance. I was particularly impressed by the routine check of the shower systems for legionnaires disease and a check of fans etc. The staff work as a team, clearly get on well.

It is a traumatic event when someone you've lived with for 60 years has to leave home to be cared for elsewhere. So it was for me a crushing, emotion. The staff at Cartref were amazing - understanding, helpful, friendly and everything that made the place a 'home'. This has continued for the months my
wife has lived there and no praise is too high for the place and the wonderful staff.

Orchard House

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Since our cousin became a resident in Orchard House following an illness and no longer able to live at home he is making good progress with his diet, mobility and other daily tasks. This progress is only as a result of the wonderful care he is receiving at Orchard House. He has had to endure the most
horrendous experience from his family but the support he has and still is receiving from the staff is amazing. He has had to endure so much which at times was overwhelming for him but he has been so very fortunate to have the constant backing and support of staff who take the time to listen to him. This to us is invaluable as we live so far away but know that he is being so lovingly cared for. It is so good to see how far he has progressed and that is all due to the wonderful care he is receiving. We will never be able to thank the staff enough for everything they have done and continue to do for him. Bless you all.
Reply from Michelle Orris, home manager at Orchard HouseThank you for your heartfelt review. Visited today. My brother looked well cared for and comfortable. He said he liked his room. The staff were amazing and so helpful. One in particular was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. The nurse was able to answer questions about my brothers health. This was on the nursing floor.
He said the food was good.

My Mother moved into Cartref Dyfi 7 weeks ago. We have been very impressed with all aspects of this home. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The home is spotlessly clean and never smells. All the residents are consulted about how the home is run and their wishes are carried out
where possible.
I would definitely recommend Cartref Dyfi

Sycamore Lodge

Our Mother has been at Sycamore just over three months. We feel very fortunate to have found such a welcoming care home that can cater for both the complex behaviours of Frontal Temporal Dementia and mums increasing physical needs. Many of the staff are long term employees and all treat the residents
with kindness and respect and many times like their own family. We cannot fault their level of dedication especially the Deputy Manager who has supported us every step of the way. The programme of activities is extensive and there is always something for everyone. The volunteers that spends hours with our Mum doing jigsaws is so much appreciated as we live far away. The building is very accessible, clean, light and airy and very comfortable. The private garden is a calm oasis and very much a bonus to the high standard of living to be found at Sycamore. I have no hesitation in recommending you visit Sycamore Lodge to see how well it would suit your loved one.
Reply from Barry O'Driscoll, Home Manager at Sycamore LodgeThank you for your heartfelt review. We are delighted to hear that your mum has settled so well at Sycamore Lodge and that you have felt supported throughout her journey with us.
