My mum has been loved and cared for by a wonderful bunch of carers over the last 3 years. Although she had sever dementia throughout this time she was treated with great respect and dignity at all times. Thank you.The care and contact with me in her final few days was excellent and supportive.
Reply from Donna Wass, Home Manager at Montpellier ManorThank you for the lovely comments, I will pass them on to the rest of the team. Mum will be greatly missed especially her love of having chocolate every day.

We couldn't have chosen a better home for my husband. Everyone from Administration, Carers, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Kitchen and Activities did their very best for him, both physically and emotionally.

My dad came into Reuben Manor in February 2025 due to having dementia and not looking after himself properly. Unfortunately the home carers we had were useless. He never wanted to be in a home as liked his freedom. The best thing we did was getting him into Reuben Manor, they cared for him fed him and
he looked like the proud man he used to be. They looked after him for the last few months of his life, he was clean and healthy, infact he hadn't looked so good in years!
I can't thank the staff enough for the care he was given.
Reply from Kelly Mughal, Deputy Home Manager at Reuben ManorThank you for your kind words, I will pass this on to the team. Your Dad was a lovely gentleman who will be missed at Reuben Manor.

My husband was a resident from March 2025 -September 2025 approximately six months before he sadly passed away and the care that he was given was wonderful from the day he arrived and the staff gave him help with everything he did and they were very understanding and supportive when he was feeling ill
or down. I myself was made very welcome also our daughter and son.
So on behalf of my family I would like to thank everyone for all the care, love , support and attention given to him and us,once again a big thank you to you all.
Reply from Kelly Mughal, Deputy Home Manager at Reuben ManorThank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to care for your husband. I will pass this on to the team.

Mum has been in Reuben Manor since November last year. We hated the idea of 'putting her in ' a care home but the decision had to be made as she was literacy dying in her assisted living facility, spending hours sleeping in bed and not eating. They couldn't provide the care she needed anymore. ( They
were amazing but mum's needs changed). Moving her broke my heart but it was definitely the right decision. At first we lacked trust which is understandable after the care mum had had before but Reuben Manor soon gained it. The day after mum moved in she was up and dressed. The first time in 7 months. They gradually introduced her into the communal room and to activities. The staff have been just incredible with her and us. The chaplain Fiona was amazing with my family and I as we had been mum's main carers and had to let this go. We found it so difficult to let others do our job. She sat and talked us so many times. The staff have become friends and Mum is thriving. We know she is loved

My mam loves living at the Home. I feel as a family we find so much comfort in the kindness of the staff. Love the activities and seeing the posts on social media.
I would recommend the home to any family with absolute confidence that you will look after their family member.
Reply from Donna Wass, Home Manager at Montpellier ManorThank you for your review, Mum really does enjoy the activities, she really enjoys bingo and the entertainers, and it is great to hear that as a family you are happy with her care and have confidence in us all.

My father came to Reuban Manor in January 2025, he was welcomed and made to feel part of this very special community from his first day. I phone him daily and ask how his day has been and his response is that he has had a marvellous day with the activities, talking to staff and in general just being
in such a caring environment. The pastoral care is exceptional and it is such a relief for the family that he is happy, safe and well.

My Mum first came in for respite in June and is now a permanent resident. She seems to have settled in well. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The only problem I have is parking when visiting her. The car park is very small for the size of the care home.
Reply from Julie Peyton, Home Manager at Reuben ManorThank you for your kind words; I will pass them on to the team. Regarding the car parking, we are currently looking into ways we can extend the car parking facilities.

I normally visit my wife four to five times each week and have found absolutely nothing to complain about, regarding the care and constant attention she receives. Reuben Manor is a very happy place, managed by a very competent and professional team at all levels. After visiting for over six years, they
have always treated me like one of the family, for which I will always be grateful.

For the last 10 years this care home has been a wonderful home for my grandmother. The staff treated her with incredible dignity and respect, creating a genuinely caring and compassionate environment. Yes, it was a care home but it was also her home.

Mum and Dad moved to Montpellier for two weeks respite a year and a half ago. We quickly realised it was the best and safest place to be. Dad was terminally ill; mum has dementia and we were exhausted trying to look after them at home. Dad passed away peacefully with the upmost care, compassion and
respect. He was loved and cared for. Mum is cared for, respected and encouraged to live her best. There are activities she can join in with if she wants to. The spiritual care and support is wonderful, it's very much appreciated. The friendliness of the staff and their support of one another helps create a family atmosphere. We are grateful to have found such a special place for mum.
Montpellier is clean and spotless too which is wonderful.
Reply from Donna Wass, Home Manager at Montpellier ManorThank you for your fabulous review, we really appreciate it. Mum is very much part of the Montpellier Manor family, and we feel very privileged to have her in our care. Dad was a very quiet gentleman and he is remembered fondly by us all.

The care my mum received during her stay at Montpellier Manor was absolutely first class. All of the staff, and I mean all of the staff, were excellent with my mum and with all of our family.

Mum is very well looked after by your excellent caring staff, all her needs are catered for in a lovely happy caring atmosphere a home from home. There are plenty of activities to keep her busy and active. She enjoys her meals, she's always had a good appetite! As a family we are happy to so Mum settled
and safe in her new home.

I asked my aunt for scores and she has put good on all points. In her eyes I don't think she would ever day excellent but I would certainly say that her care has been second to none. It is a beautifully kept care home with the best of furnishings. Food has been very good and the staff have all been
exceptional. The managers in charge have been very helpful. (I live in Scotland so we have had quite a bit of contact by phone and they have been very understanding). Wish there were more care homes this around the country!

Probably the best decision me and mam have ever made It's made a massive difference to my mam's life - and ours. It's like a 5-star resort: excellent food, excellent entertainment, and absolutely immaculate.
My mam was reluctant to leave her flat at first. We had to make up an excuse, telling her
that me and my brother had accidentally booked a holiday that crossed over leaving her alone. But after just five hours of mam staying there, she asked to stay for good.
And that's when we got our mam back. No longer the lady who was wasting away with dementia, not caring, sleeping all day, or going to bed and not getting up. The change has been incredible.
Highly recommended.

I have spent 7 months in Montpellier Manor, at the time I was so afraid about going in but my mind changed on the first night. I was made to feel it was home from home. Today is the day I go home, and as much as I want to go home, I will miss every part of my stay. For someone who is thinking about
what care home, the only one to stay is Montpellier Manor. I have made friends for life, and when I settled at home, I am coming back to keep in touch. If this were a hotel, I would give it 5*.
Reply from Donna Wass, Home Manager at Montpellier ManorThank you for your lovely review, you are missed every day and it is great that you continue to visit us and join in our activities and parties. Looking forward to seeing you this afternoon for our 80s party.

My mother's stay (respite) at Montpellier Manor has been an extremely good experience. The staff have been outstanding with their care and attention. They have been friendly and attentive but not overbearing, which is 100% excellent. Mum has enjoyed her stay. She loved the entertainment (she was never
bored) and she's said that the food was excellent for every meal. Thank you very much.

When Mum decided it was time to go into a home in January 2024 we toured many homes looking for the best option. As soon as Mum walked into Montpellier Manor, she knew it was the one and we were proven absolutely correct. Throughout her stay there Mum received exceptional care. The staff could really
not do any more for her. The facilities were excellent, enhanced by the re-opening of the public serving cafe in March. The home is always kept very clean and beautifully decorated, laundry is collected and returned on a daily basis, the dining and menu options were extensive, a huge choice of activities and services which residents can elect to join in or not, but what made the home stand out above all others was the caring and attentive nature of all of the staff across the board. The management deserve a particular mention as it is clear that their wonderful attitude towards caring for the sick and/or elderly pervades at every level.
Reply from Donna Wass, Home Manager at Montpellier ManorThank you for your wonderful review, we do work hard to ensure we give the best care we can to all our residents at Montpellier Manor. I remember very well the day your Mum came to Montpellier Manor for a look around; she was very adamant that this was the place she wanted to be, and we are all very grateful that she chose us and we had that time with her. Your Mum was an amazing lady and is missed by staff and residents on Village Unit.
