Mum has been a resident of Sandygate Care Home for around 6 months. On admission her behaviour could sometimes be quite challenging however Jodi and her team reassured me that they would work with the other medical health teams to balance mum's medication and things would settle down. To be honest I
was sceptical as I felt dementia had taken mum away from myself and my family. However Jodi was right. They have a personal approach, tailoring treatment to the needs of each resident. I can't praise the team highly enough. There are times I can see my mum as I remember her and she remembers me as a loving daughter . We still have some challenging moments however these are now minimal. Mum enjoys the outings and is proving to be quite a character with her singing. Thank you to the everyone at Sandygate Care Home who are looking after mum so well.

Mum had to go into Sandygate due to having dementia. She has now been in approximately 5 years and looks so much better than when she first went in. She appears healthier and happier now.
Really well looked after by an amazing team that work there.

Due to a culmination of circumstances my mom went into Sandygate Care Home in 2021 at short notice in that her dementia had progressed to the point whereby my father could not care for her and he had been admitted to hospital. From my very first conversation I had with staff at Sandygate they have been
outstanding on all levels. Mom has remained there ever since. Being 2hrs drive away I needed to be sure mom was getting the very best of care. I can honestly say each time I have visited mom she has looked lovely. Her room has always been immaculate. Any incident involving mom has been reported to me immediately and I've been kept fully informed. Every time I've been there has been interactive entertainment.
Overall I have to say a benchmark level of care.

The staff are all excellent. They treat my dad like a member of the family. I feel happy to leave my dad in their exceptional care. The staff are always friendly and caring. They are proactive and support my dad to stay well and safe. They have got to know him. He is always happy and settled when I
visit him. I have witnessed the kind and calm approach that all the staff have with all the residents. It feels like a family.

My sister has been in Mapplewell Manor for more than a year. She seems to be entirely content with the facilities and the care provided. She enjoys the meals and has a good appetite. She does not participate much in the activities offered but I think this is due to her dementia. She is certainly much
better and safer than when she was living alone and looking after herself.

Mum is very happy in Mapplewell. The team are wonderful and her care is first class which gives us peace of mind.
She was sorry (sad) when sister left. She thinks having her tea at 16:30 everyday is too early and occasionally the coffee lounge is closed which means you can't have a drink. Otherwise
all good. Many thanks.

Mapplewell Manor in my opinion is the best care home in the area, more like a luxury hotel. Everything you experience here is so good, the staff, cleanliness of the place, and the overall safe, calm and warm atmosphere is so good. There is absolutely no way you can fault any place in this home, well
done to all staff involved. Keep up your great work efforts.

I am happy living here. My wife lives upstairs in the Woodland Unit. She is always there with friends. I have no complaints about this home; we are all family and friends. One possible thing I have noticed is that there are too many meals. By the time I have eaten one it's time for another, but I suppose
that a good thing. There is always something going on games, quizzes and entertainers. This great for those who want it.

The nursing home is very clean, comfortable, myself and sister feel like Mam is safe here, especially through the night and since her stroke, she is out of bed, dressed and interacting with other people. Something she hasn't had for 15 months.
It's dropped 10 months-years off her. So close to us both,
we get to see her as much as possible. Hope she can stay here in the future, nice staff, good place to be, know she is being looked after.
