I couldn't be happier with the care my mum receives. From day 1 she has been incredibly well looked after, and it gives me such peace of mind knowing she is in a safe and secure environment. I feel at ease every time I leave knowing she is in capable hands. The entertainment provided is superb, there
is always something going on and entertainment lady really goes the extra mile to keep everyone engaged, active & smiling. It's wonderful to see how much effort is putting into making each day enjoyable and meaningful. I'm truly grateful for the support, warmth and high standard of care provided, it makes all the difference.

My father-in-law has been living at Chapel Fields for a little over 3 years. He is very settled and happy.
Being in his late 90's, he doesn't join in many activities but likes to attend the services. He particularly enjoys listening to the chaplains playing the violin, but finds some of the other
musical entertainment a bit loud. He mostly enjoys the food but doesn't like rice, pasta or anything spicy. He is very well cared for by the friendly staff. Who are very helpful.

My relative had a respite stay at Mayfields during the summer. It was the first time we have used the service and we were very impressed. The staff are really helpful and the home had a lovely atmosphere, lots of activities. They have a 50's Cafe on Wednesdays which we have been able to attend to keep
my aunt familiar with the home and have booked another stay very soon.
Reply from Su Neill, Home Manager at MayfieldsThank you for your feedback, which I will share with the team. We look forward to seeing your Aunt again soon.

My sister's dinners are always cold, so therefore she isn't eating them. Also her cups of tea/coffee are cold so she's not drinking them.
Reply from Tamara Simmons, Home Manager at The Willows Nursing HomeThank you for your feedback, which we take seriously. We will investigate this but please do come and see us so we can discuss any concerns and resolve the issues with your sister's dinners and drinks.

Mum initially came to Chapel Fields in July 2025 for respite care as my brother was away in Thailand & my sister had major surgery. As mum's care needs increased it was difficult to care for her at home as the care providers at that time felt she was unsafe to leave alone. Mum became withdrawn & slept
a lot but since coming to Chapel Fields she has gained a new lease of life. She is so well cared for here and the programme of activities keeps her engaged & entertained. Mum loves to participate in the quizzes (taking over as question master at times) & loves playing games, singing & socialising so I feel I have my Mum back again. Mum's every need is catered for and the food is amazing so Mum has even regained her appetite. Five stars, excellent care.
Reply from Heather Ross, Home Manager at Chapel FieldsThank you for taking the time to submit a review. Your comments are very encouraging and will be shared with the whole team. Our Activity Coordinator and Catering team will be particularly pleased by your comments. We do appreciate your kind words, and it is our absolute pleasure to care for your Mum here at Chapel Fields.

My stay at The Willows has been a very enjoyable experience; the care has been wonderful. All the staff are kind, helpful, supportive and patient. The food has been delicious. I have met so many people whom I have enjoyed chatting with. I feel able to go home and cope on the farm now, which I wouldn't
of if I had not come to The Willows for a rest. Best wishes for the future and to another 30 years of service.

We visited your care home for the first time this week. We were so impressed with the overall care and professionalism shown by all the staff. The welcome the ambience and the genuine care shown towards the residents was amazing. The best care home we have ever visited - and we have some years of experience
with our parents and friends. Congratulations Chapel Fields!

Mum has been at Chapelfields for a week now. What a difference a week makes. From the moment we arrived at Chapelfields we had a warm welcome from all staff, they couldn't have made the move easier. She has a lovely room with ensuite. The home is clean and the care from staff are outstanding. The activities
has brought mum back to life, Chapelfields had music week this week and mum has really enjoyed it, she smiled today and I've not seen her smile for a long time and singing and dancing WOW. Thank you Chapelfields you really are outstanding in everything you do.

My father came into the care home in January, initially for respite.
The care he received from everyone was absolutely outstanding.
When his condition deteriorated the nursing care was second to none.
As a family ,the care and support we received, when my father died, was so empathetic and compassionate.

Been a resident here now for a few weeks. Right from the beginning the care, home feel and services have been faultless. Always plenty of staff around and on hand when need them. The home is very clean and tidy, smells fresh. Food and drink is of great quality with varied menu. An area that stands out
is the friendly home feel, and the activities. There is always something happening including Cheese and Wine Afternoons, Visiting singers/entertainment. Also there is a chaplain onsite which is nice to have. Management are very active within the home and friendly. Overall cannot fault The Willows, and would highly recommend it.

My mum moved into Chapel Fields with dementia, it was a very distressing time for us all but the staff at Chapel Fields were so kind and supportive from the start. They made a very difficult move bearable, we could ring or call in at any time. She enjoyed lovely meals, her clothes were always immaculate
and clean on every day. Her hair was always styled which was so important to her. She enjoyed music therapy very much and was always keen to join in various activities despite her dementia. She had a very strong Christian faith which was nurtured the whole time she was there with regular services and every religious occasion celebrated. The last weeks of her life the staff made her so comfortable and let me and my sister stay with her the whole week. They we so gentle and kind and very respectful.
My dad was also in Chapel Fields for a shorter period and also spent his final days there. Again, he was so well looked after in a beautiful clean room and again we stayed with him and were treated so kindly. We will always be grateful in particular to 3 staff members. Our experience and the care they gave to our parents is something we will always treasure.

I can't thank the staff at The Willows enough for the love and care they showed Mum during her time there. She was treated with kindness and genuine affection and the staff were more like friends than carers. It was always warm (in every way) and there were plenty of activities. They always offered
a lovely welcome and went the extra mile to make her feel at home.
It gave us such peace of mind to know she was in safe and caring hands and we will always be grateful for the compassion and dedication shown by everyone there. Mum passed away peacefully at The Willows and the empathy and support of the staff will always stay with me. After she'd gone, my son wanted to see her room one last time. They'd made it look so lovely. I hadn't asked them to, they just did it. I've told my son that when the time comes that I can't live independently, he should find me a place at The Willows. That's how much I trust and appreciate everything they do.

My father was in Chapel Fields for the last 9 months of his life. I think it's a lovely care home, some of the staff members really got to know my dad, some found it harder to communicate with him. He had to have 1:1 care for the final 4 months and it was extremely reassuring to know he was being so
closely monitored. The management team were helpful and supportive when we applied for continuing healthcare funding (based on clinical need). I tasted the food numerous times and it was generally good, especially the Sunday roast! The staff were helpful and I got to know some of them quite well. The only one negative experience I had was on the day my father died, I have emailed my feedback about that to the management, although am awaiting a response. On the whole, I would have no hesitation in recommending Chapel Fields to anyone who is considering it, and if I had responsibility for any more family members (which fortunately I don't) I wouldn't hesitate to move them in too.
