Review of Anjulita Court from Alison B (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience
After a period of respite Mum became a permanent resident and has been made to feel very welcome. The staff are great, always popping in to chat to mum which she enjoys. Mum takes part in a lot of activities and especially enjoys the church services and singing. She feels safe knowing that carers are always there to help her. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home and everyone always seems to be smiling.

It would be great if occasional trips could be organised although I do understand how difficult this would be.

My dad has been living at Anjulita Court for three months. The care and support he receives have been outstanding. Since moving in, he has become much more involved in activities and genuinely enjoys taking part in the daily programme. It has been wonderful to see him engaged, socialising, and enjoying himself. He has also put on weight, which has been a huge reassurance for our family and shows how well he is being looked after.

Everyone looking after dad is fantastic - kind, patient, caring and always treat my dad with dignity and respect. They take the time to get to know the residents as individuals and genuinely care about their wellbeing. I am incredibly grateful to all the staff at Anjulita Court for the difference they have made to my dad's quality of life. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for dementia care for a loved one. (I have also only good things to say about the senior management team who have been kind, caring and professional throughout.) Thank you!

We are very pleased your father has settled and you are happy that he is doing well, and with the care and support provided. Thank you for sending your review to the website, I will also pass your kind words to the care and support team. I am pleased to hear that staff are taking the time to get to know your father and show compassion and understanding with their support. Thank you, Ernie

Review of Anjulita Court from Mirijana V (Friend of Resident) published on 26 June 2026 Submitted via Postal Card

I visit my friend, who I've known for 60+ years, and the home is very comfortable, staff friendly, always clean and tidy, atmosphere great, and they cannot do enough for my friend, who has thrived since going in, at nearly 101 years. She has delicious meals, is very well cared for by the staff and is very popular. I enjoy going and visiting my friend and the home, and come away with a great experience.

I have been visiting the care home for almost 3 years. The home has been inconsistent and makes false claims. No proper mental capacity check was done in my view, and the paperwork at the beginning was vague and shown that have poor awareness of LPA's, etc.

The care staff are great but the senior management team are fake and thus a lack of trust has developed between us. Need to look closer at their overall behaviours. It seems over recent months that the age of facility is showing with visitors toilet out of order for at least 3 months.

Mum received a high standard of care at Oak Manor. The team are kind. caring, hardworking and approachable across all of the various roles; care/domestic/voluntary/admin/management. Family views are sought and taken into account when delivering care. Leadership is very strong. Links with local services and community engagements are well established to enhance the experience and care of the residents.

Overall Experience

The management and staff at Anjulita Court are exceptional in the care shown to residents and their families. My mother was a resident for 5 years until her death in April 2026. At all times the staff were attentive to her needs and accommodating to us as visitors. Their caring and flexible attitude helped make the experience as good as possible, especially in the more difficult days leading up to the end. Highly recommended!

Reply from Ernie Botley, Home Manager at Anjulita Court

Mum moved in to the Mill unit in 2021. While no-one would choose to be in a care home with dementia, we were very happy that she was safe. Activities mum enjoyed included music therapy, group music sessions, attending Christian services, playing bingo, having her hair done and time in the hydrotherapy pool.
Staff always interacted well with mum, even when she was debating the need for her medication.

When it came to what turned out to be the last 2 weeks of mums life, staff were hugely helpful and supportive. My brother and I were able to stay on the unit for the last 5 days. As well as great care for mum, we also felt looked after, both physically and emotionally. Many staff and volunteers came to say goodbye to mum and share their memories with us. Staff were also in attendance at mum's funeral.

Reply from Ernie Botley, Home Manager at Anjulita Court

It was an absolute privilege and honour to look after your mum. Your kind words about our team mean a lot, especially regarding the support and compassion shown to you and your family. We're also delighted to hear she enjoyed so many of our activities. Thank you for trusting us with your mum's care...

My Mum was admitted to Anjulita Court, Redlands, as her health had deteriorated and she needed 24 hour care. The staff immediately understood her needs and instinctively provided the care she needed. They were compassionate and kind, making her feel at home very quickly. Sadly, Mum's condition deteriorated further and after a shirt hospital stay, she died. However, I would have been very happy for her to have remained in Anjulita Court, where the ethos and staff make it a very special place.

Very pleased to have found Anjulita Court for my parents-in-law as they are now at a time in their lives where they need extra care. They are settling in very well with the help of the wonderful staff. Dad loves the home cooked food and their rooms are homely, bright and clean. Senior carers on mill are very approachable and address any needs Dad and Mum might have, family are very happy they are being well looked after.

Overall Experience
Oak Manor Care Home has provided exceptional care and support for my Dad. As his mixed dementia became more advanced, he continued living with us, but when the time came to consider a nursing home, I was filled with worry and constantly reminded myself that it was in his best interests.

I could not be more relieved or grateful for the care he has received. Watching him settle into his new home has been incredibly reassuring. Every team member shows genuine warmth, compassion, and dedication, giving me complete confidence that my Dad is cared for with the same love and respect I would want for him myself. The team work tirelessly and professionally, always delivering care with dignity and kindness. The facilities are excellent, and the activities are thoughtfully organised and Dad is encouraged and supported to join in. Most importantly, my Dad is smiling constantly and clearly enjoying the vibrant, welcoming environment around him. He is eating well and looks truly happy! Thank you

My Mum has been a resident for 4 weeks now. From the start when I was looking for the right care home to today, after she has lived there, I have been so impressed with the compassion, support, professionalism and kindness of all the staff. The management and care teams have also helped me so much during this hard time.
I think Oak Manor is exceptional and I feel lucky a room became available just when we needed one.
My Mum is very happy there, has settled in quickly and now has a life with friends, support, activities to fill her day and all the lovely team who look after her so very well. It is indeed a great relief to me to know my Mum is very well looked after and in a nice environment.
From my experience, they have gone the extra mile to make sure my Mum is settled and looked after in all aspects of life. This makes me very happy my Mum has this new 'family' to enjoy this next stage of her life with.

Thank you for looking after her so well.

We are so thankful to the wonderful staff on Mill Unit (dementia unit). They are always so 'good' with mum and very caring towards us as well. Today they made mum's 96th birthday very special for her and us. We thank the kitchen and domestic staff as well as cares, chaplains and volunteers.
