It is easy for head offices to only hear from families when something goes wrong, which is why I felt it vital to write to you when things have gone so right. You have a remarkable team at Torrwood and they are a true credit to MHA.

The care my mother receives is first class, the carers cannot do enough for her. She is happy and well looked after. All members of staff are caring, happy to help and always smile and are cheerful. The decor in my mothers room could do with updating and the food is not of as high standard as she would like. Value for money - I understand costs have increased but I feel she is paying far in excess of these changes.

I had a good experience with this care home from the start with professional and helpful staff. The carers,nurses and admin staff are friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. I am confident my wife who has complex needs with dementia is well looked after in this home.

My wife June has been resident in Torrwood with Alzheimers for the last 2 1/2 years. She has been extremely well looked after by caring staff I would (and have) recommend Torrwood to anyone looking for a care home.

My mother lives on Oak floor. She has lived at Torrwood for over 5 years. Her care is exellent and I do not worry about her at all as I know the staff are kind and generous to her. I am kept fully informed about all aspects of her care. I am able to ask questions and have recieved satisfactory answers at all times. I would wholly recommend this care home. Thank you Torrwood.

Great, friendly, and helpful staff that show care for, and clearly know their residents. Clean and bright facilities in good condition. Safe and secure facilities with appropriate access control for all residents.

My wife has been here for about 2 years. I cannot think of a better place for to be. She is extremely well looked after, the staff are excellent. Most importantly, she is happy.

Always found Torrwood to be a caring and loving home. My wife was a resident here until she passed away earlier this year. Now come back to visit residents I got to knew - always enjoy my visits as everyone is so warm and friendly, and there's always a cup of tea.

The care home has a relaxed and homely atmosphere and staff always seem to have time to talk to relatives. They always treat residents with kindness and compassion and seem genuinely to care about their welfare. Medical problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently with relatives kept informed. Food is excellent and plentiful. Rooms are pleasantly appointed and safety measures all in place. A first class well run home.

On visiting regularly it was clearly evident that there were staff shortages and the care standards had dropped. Also outings and even garden activities didn't happen.

I have been a support leader before I retired and can say I gave 100% care to ensure residents had the care they deserved.

My mother, who is 97 and has dementia, was moved to Torrwood Care in April 2025. I have nothing but praise for this lovely place. The staff are amazing and the manager is a credit to the place, always so helpful and friendly. Mum has significantly improved since being there, her room is lovely, and her care is exceptional. I cannot thank them enough.

I absolutely love being a resident at Torrwood Care Centre, the staff have made me so happy, they are always so professional, they helped me settle in, feel at home, and always have a smile and we laugh together, nothing is too much for them, I am blessed to be here, and to know I am in safe and caring hands, in a beautiful setting, I couldn't wish for more.

Facilities were clean. Staff were professional and respectful. Meals were good. Medical care was excellent.

Excellent communication re updates to our father's evolving health condition. Staff are always friendly and pleasant when visiting and happy to take time to share updates. The senior nurses whom I have dealt with have been exemplary.

A few extra staff might help at busy times.

A very caring environment with residents at the centre of everything and staff working hard to help make each day the residents' best possible. There is a limit to the quality of life that Mum can achieve because of her dementia but within those limits, she is as happy as she could be.
