My mother has lived at Fairwinds for 12years and I have always felt that she is well cared for.

The staffs are always very welcoming to me and act on any concerns I have with her condition. They look out for her welfare and nutrition.

I can genuinely say this is the first Nursing Home where I feel at home. The service is resident led which ensures the service uses get the most out of life they can. As we all know nothing in life is perfect but bearing that in mind Greenacre Park strive to be the best they can be everyday. With a new catering manager service users enjoy good nutritious home cooked food. I would recommend the home to anyone who requires nursing for complex needs wether arising from physical disability or mental health.

The staff at Hylton Grange provide a welcome home from home for residents and relatives. Nothing is to much trouble, they provide a great listening ear and always strive to achieve the best outcomes for all, even on difficult days. They are patient, understanding and always strive to do their best.

Went to visit my husband. During my visit I went to look in the newly refurbished residents lounge. What a lovely room. It's bright and cheery and despite having to be practical due to the needs of the residents still manages to feel comfortable and homely.

My sister has been a resident for 18 months now. During this time, all of the staff have worked hard to get to know her and understand/work out the best ways to meet her complex needs. The staff care for her with professionalism but also with immense warmth to give an extended-family feel not just to my sister, but to me too. The team is very respectful and very proactive to find solutions to any issues that crop up.

Communication is very good with the excellent management and admin teams, the fantastic nurses running the units and the carers who are always ready to assist in whichever way they can.

Would very much recommend this care home.

The home is so welcoming and nothing is to much trouble.

All the staff at edgewater from the admin through to the management or second to none.i couldn't name them all.they have been a driving force to mark feeling happier and settled.he doesnt chase after us anymore when we are leaving its always a pleasant visit and we are all left feeling welcome.both Gemma and Emma will ring me when mark just needs a chat and tgat means the world to me and shows me that his wishes are being met and not ignored also a massive thank you to Laura she has been bringing Mark to see our mum and it just feels like she is a freind if marks not his support.we always have a laugh mainly at mark and mum so thank you all so very much from all of us xxx

Jon has been looked after extremely well at Willowbeck. All the staff are friendly yet very professional and I feel that my son is very safe in their care. Since being at Willowbeck he has come out of his shell and is attending lots of activities personalised for him by the activities team. I can't thank the whole team at Willowbeck enough for what they have done for my son. Also a personal Thankyou for the support and kindness I have been shown by all the staff.

We couldn't be happier with the care and support our grandad receives. It really is an amazing place, with such a warm, welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere.

From the moment we walk through the door, it feels like we're simply visiting Grandad in his own home. The staff are incredibly caring, kind and loving, not only towards Grandad but towards all of us as a family. They always make us feel so welcome, and we know he is genuinely cared for and treated with kindness and respect.

We couldn't fault the care he receives. It's also lovely that we can spend quality one-on-one time together in the quiet lounge, or join in with the activities the home puts on. Being able to enjoy these experiences together as a family means so much to us.

A huge thank you to all the wonderful staff for everything you do for Grandad and for making us feel so welcome whenever we visit. We feel very reassured knowing he is in such caring hands.

My sister has been at Marmaduke for 18 months. Her care is amazing. She looks happy and settled. The carers are always attentive and supportive of the resident. Over the last few weeks the home has decorated the lounge in the Hopewell Unit, it has given the lounge a very homely look with mixed greens, soft pastels on the furniture and curtains. There is a new fire place which brings a lot of warmth to the room, it's amazing well done for making a home from home look.

Donna seems very settled hear the staff are all lovely and very helpfull. Donna is so much better from being here I think that her time away from us is doing her good and the staff are doing a fab job.

I have been to visit my son this morning in marmaduke and what a difference the new refurbishment looks amazing so much more homely and relaxed. Credit due to ho the manager jo and Mike the decorator. Thank you so much

My husband of 60 years has spent the last 4 years suffering from dementia and several physical conditions. His life has been appalling because of the lack of care made available to him and I have looked after him myself. Suffice to say that I have made 4 complaints to the council, one of which was sent to the ombudsman and found that they had been totally negligent. I had never heard of Fernwood until it was recommended to me because of their ability to address complex conditions. Against social services wishes he has gained a placement there. This is the happiest time he has had, because every member of staff is so caring, knowledgable, and professional. Not only that; from the top management down to staff with lesser duties there is an absolute kindness from everyone, not just to their resident but also their families. My husband was very wary of a Care home place; I told him he could go home and I will take the place! We have both received outstanding care.

Our son was at Fernwood for many many months, He passed away February 2026. Whilst at Fernwood he received such wonderful care and it was his home his adopted Fernwood family he used to say. The staff were so caring, friendly and committed to their work. He was recovering so well until unfortunately he took a turn for the worse over just a few days. He would have wanted me to inform as many as possible how wonderful Fernwood is and I am doing so for him. Fernwood should be recognised for the loving caring home it is. Excellent, wonderful and compassionate.

As a family, we feel very reassured knowing Dad is in such caring hands. We are extremely grateful to the whole team at Otterburn for everything they do for him.
