Crown Care Group is an established family-owned developer and operator of care homes, with over 35 years of experience delivering high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care across a growing portfolio.
They put quality at the heart of everything they do, for their residents, their families, their teams and the communities they are proud to be part of. Their vision is to be one of the most respected and trusted family-owned care providers in the independent care sector, creating welcoming homes where people feel safe, valued and truly at home.
They believe exceptional care begins with seeing the person, not simply their care needs. Their dedicated teams take the time to understand each resident’s life story, preferences, routines and wishes, enabling them to provide genuinely person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity and personal choice.
Life at Crown Care is about much more than care. They want every resident to enjoy a meaningful and fulfilling lifestyle, with opportunities for companionship, activities and new experiences, alongside comfortable surroundings, freshly prepared food and the freedom to spend each day in a way that suits them.
Their experienced and highly trained teams provide personalised support for a wide range of needs, from residential and nursing care to dedicated supportive dementia care.
They understand the trust families place in us when choosing a care home for someone they love. They work closely with residents and their families, providing reassurance, compassion and support throughout their journey with them.
Across Crown Care, their aim is simple: to create exceptional communities and places to live where care is personal, people come first, and every individual is treated with kindness and respect, supported to retain their independence and encouraged to enjoy life with purpose, because every day matters.

I visit my wife Sandra every day. Sadly she is in an advanced stage of dementia. Last night, two carers were getting her ready for bed and had put her nightie on. I was waiting outside her room. Alice, one of the carers, had put some slow music on her phone Alice and Sandra came out of the bedroom arm in arm doing a slow dance. The look of joy on Sandra's face was wonderful. They danced across towards me. It made me so happy. This was at the end of Alice's shift but she still had time to show her compassion for those under her care.

Dad doesn't like much of the food but that's more personal preference so we often bring him his favourites.
They could do with more staff as often needs a drink as he's not capable of helping him self they do the best they can with the resources they have.
love the hair salon and the lovely ladies that are constantly dressing up to bring a smile to the residents:)

Review of Pennine Lodge Care Home from Sandra W (Sister-in-law of Resident) published on 16 October 2026 Submitted via Postal Review Card•
Overall Experience
All members of staff regardless of post are friendly, courteous, helpful and caring. They appear very dedicated & go the little bit extra for my relative's care and comfort. The rooms we use are ALWAYS airy, comfortable, clean & attractive. On a scale 1 - 10 - more than 10
